The Hotel ain't really a 4star compared to UK. It's a high 3 maybe.
The Teletext ticket said it's rated a 5*
The rooms was good, good AC and bathroom has a pressure shower which was good then a normal shower.
All inclusive needs to have more soft drink on menu and cocktails non alcohol.
Swimming didn't get to try
Friendly staff. The hotel was in good location. I cannot degrade it but I guess I paid a high price from online. Food was really good presented and I enjoyed my stay. Thank you hotel and staff

We went towards the end of season. We had to wait a while for our room which was annoying especially as our flight was delayed so we were arriving much later than expected.
Room was very spacious (floor-1) kettle and fridge, but I'm not sure what the point of the kettle was when no tea or coffee provided.
Pool area was nice, but bottom of pool a little slimy, I'm guessing due a clean.
Not all advertised things were available, for example we were told there was no ice cream as it was out of season?? Would have been annoyed if I'd brought children with me.
Regular shuttle bus service to the beach and lots of shops at Alanya Bazaar just across from the hotel.
Murat the resort rep was very helpful. I would go back.

Definitely not a 5* standard, a majority of the staff let the place down. The rooms are not "clean" and some were just dangerous... We had a family room with wires exposed from the bathroom wall. NO AIRCON throughout the hotel (it was 43 degrees during the day and 37/38 degrees in the evening).
We had to wait for 2 and a half days before getting our family room (for the first two nights and half of the 3rd day we had one room with a double bed, 2 single beds and a sofa for a family of 5 with no compensation or even an apology) even though I had booked a family room with a dividing wall with a door... The staff demonstrated zero experience of working in a 5* hotel, this is at best a 2*.
The food was plentiful and was in general quite good. The Bazars across the road were great for the kids, the beach was lovely (but not sandy) with a far better standard of staff than at the hotel.
Night time entertainment was terrible at the hotel. This could be a lovely hotel but it needs someone to come in and improve standards across the board from a snagging list to fix all of the details around the hotel (indoor pool was not open, every single piece of gym equipment was broken with only free weights up to 15kg available, the family room floor (-1) smelled of damp and stale cigarettes, Aircon needs to be on throughout the hotel so guests can escape the heat of the day, the slides are falling apart & the family room outdoor areas are damp and moss grown due to the floors above leaking.
Massively overpriced for what you get. NOT A 5* standard hotel.

We booked to this hotel for 7 days. It is meant to be a 5* hotel but I dont know with gods name how it is given the 5* it is about 3*. The day we check in they made us wait in the lobby for 4 hours the room Wasn’t ready. After 4 hours we complained the reception man was extremely rude and said there is nothing he can do we have to wait. Absolutely terrible the rooms are not cleaned properly, the tiles underneath the swimming pool are broken my son had a cut on his feet even though we complained they took no notice. The food is ok they use the left overs the next day. The kids club is closed, the green area is covered in insects so can’t use, the indoor swimming pool is closed. The spa area is a disaster dirty, smelly. It is nothing like described when sold huge disappointment for us waiting a hole year and coming to a place like this.
The swimming pools are very small no entertainment in the evenings. Ice cream is only served for 1 and half hours a day. No direct entry to the sea you have to take a 10 minute bus ride.
The only good thing in this hotel was the staff they were very friendly.

Recently, we have been guests at the hotel. I would like to share my own experience here so that other travelers can make what I hope to be a fully informed decision.
The trip was booked via agency and we were under the impression that the hotel would be located in the city Alanya. However, Marilis Hill is, in fact, 2 hours away by bus from the Gazipaşa Airport. The area surrounding it is a remote one. Your view will be met with many other resort type hotels, a Bazaar, and few markets and restaurants. Therefore, in order to experience Alanya you would be required to book additional trips in advance that are extra chargeable.
I will split my review into positives and negatives.
Positives: clean and spacious room. The cleaning service was excellent, having a daily routine. Towels are replaced every day, and you will return to a nicely refreshed room.
In terms of food, I would say the food is quite delicious. We enjoyed quite a lot the dishes offered at the restaurant. The drinks department was alright. However, if you order cocktails, you might receive some funny tasting juice with ice instead of the cocktail formula one might have in mind that unless you talk to Bezat at the bar. He's been really nice with us!
In order to reach the special beach area designated for hotel guests, a shuttle bus was provided, with rides scheduled every hour, every day from 09 - 17 o'clock, with possibilities to return by the same bus at 18 or 19 o'clock as well. There was a snack bar on the beach with food, drinks, and fruit. Additionally, you could also find toilets and a changing room. The beach area was quiet overall and it gave a nice feeling.
Negatives: You might want to maintain a particular wariness towards some reception practices. Although we had paid for *ultra* all inclusive, we couldn't use the safe in the room. It was extra chargeable, 2 Euros / Day of usage. Bear in mind you won't be able to pay by card. We had a feeling the personnel was instructed to tell us to wait for the manager. It's unacceptable that a five-star hotel is not offering the option to use the card. We also didn't receive any receipt for the safe use payment.
The personnel speaks very poor English, save for a select few. It was difficult at times to communicate with them if we had any questions or issues.
There were also cats sipping on the water straight from the pool, and there was nothing done about that. The pool itself didn't look very good and could use some recondition work.
Although there was an entertainment manager, he did not do a stellar job at keeping people entertained. Every day and evening we listened to the same dull, repetitive playlists.
Additionally, there were some sort of mattresses provided for the beach lounges that looked unhygienic and very ragged. The ice cream fridge at the beach bar was in terrible condition with dirt and rust.
Closing, the concept of the hotel is not bad. We did our best to enjoy our holiday. Even so, there are major improvements to be made in the quality of their services and conduct towards their guests.
