Update: Yes, you took my laundry and re-washed it in the same commercial detergent and the laundry came back smelling horrible for the second time. Everyone I came in contact with could smell my undergarments through my clothing. This is after you agreed to simply rinse.
Original Post: The mattresses feel like a one star motel. I promise you will not be able to sleep on the pillows that they provide. I gave them my laundry and it came back wreaking of detergent.
I rinsed my laundered clothes in the sink to remove the strong detergent smell and observed a large amount of chalky soap coming off of my just-laundered clothing. I brought the bag of wet clothes back down to the front desk and ask them to rinse my clothes properly. They did not rinse my clothes because when they brought them back up, they smelled just the same.
The hotel is located on the beach so that was good. However, it is not located near anything else so if you need to go anywhere other than down the street to the café, you are getting an Uber or a taxi, every time.
The breakfast is serviceable, but the dinner buffet is bad. I do not recommend staying at this hotel. I own a business so I am very careful about giving low reviews, but I have been here for one week and this was not a good experience.

We had a great stay at Sol Guadalmar Hotel! The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a modern, spotless bathroom. The hotel’s facilities were excellent, and the location right by the sea offered stunning views from our spacious balcony. The restaurant served delicious food. However, the beds made a squeaky noise, which was a bit distracting. Overall, a wonderful experience, and we’d consider coming back!
Not so many restaurants around the hotel though, you need to go to the city center for that

Had a great time with my girlfriend, lovely staff too. Location and facilities were great. Straight into holiday mode once we arrived. Personally didn’t think the food was good (both morning buffet and dinner buffet)

It was only a one night stay as it’s close to the airport; rooms are OK. But floor was dirty … service is friendly, very good service at the bar , so it’s not a bad hotel but housekeeping needs improving

My experience at this hotel, affiliated with the Melia brand, was highly disappointing, especially considering their motto, "designed to always satisfy every guest," which was completely unmet in this case.
The reception service was terrible. I had booked a top room through the Amex circuit, but I was assigned a room on the first floor that was far below expectations. Despite my requests, there was no willingness to change the room. Interestingly, the other room I booked through Booking was noticeably better.
Another negative aspect was the check-in process: excessively slow, with waiting times of at least 10 minutes per guest.
The only positive notes of the stay were the bar service and the breakfast, both of good quality.
