We stayed here a few weeks ago and although it is a beautiful location on the beach everything else was definitely not 4 stars. We booked a sea view room and they put us in a connecting room for some reason, they were not busy so not sure why they put us in there. We scanned the room quickly, the view was beautiful but the room was outdated, musty and the beds felt old and lumpy. We were so tired from travelling and just wanted to relax for a bit so we just dropped our bags and went to the beach to chill for awhile. When we returned we noticed some things were different. We realized the connector door only had a chain lock on it and if someone else was to open it from the other side they could literally stick their arm through it and look at you -it was such a huge gap. No other way to lock it either. We felt as though someone might have been in there. This was creepy, made us feel extremely uncomfortable and freaked out. We actually didn’t even stay that night, we went with our gut feeling and left. Most definitely won’t be back to this place.

Very nice hotel. Excellent facilities and really nice staff. A room with sea view is highly recommended, and make sure to wake up early enough to see the sun rise from thd sea
In the neighbourhood make sure you go to the local grocery stores and the Italian restaurant with tables outside

I recently stayed at Sol Guadalmar, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I had high expectations based on the photos and reviews on Booking.com, but the reality did not match up. It is NOT 4 stars.
The only highlights of the stay were the breakfast and the amazing view, but beyond that, there was little to appreciate. The staff was kind too and parking was not expensive.
My problem was the room, it was dusty and had a strong musty odor, making it feel unclean and poorly maintained. The mattresses were terribly old, uncomfortable, and had an unpleasant smell, which caused us back pain throughout our stay. Additionally, the curtains were broken, and the AC was outdated and extremely loud, making it difficult to sleep.
I was particularly disappointed because I did not expect this from the Meliá Hotels chain. I had just come from a trip where I stayed in other 4-star hotels, and all of them were far better in terms of cleanliness, comfort, and service. The experience at Sol Guadalmar did not live up to the standard I associate with a reputable hotel chain like Meliá.
For the price, I expected cleaner rooms, better beds, but it was far from that. It was definitely not worth the money, and I would not stay here again. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing or comfortable experience unless you're only here for the view and closeness to the airport.

"The room was spacious and tidy, and the view from the balcony was wonderful. The marble floor was beautiful and luxurious, but it isn't a good choice due to its environmental impact. I have never stayed in any hotel around the world that charges for parking. The hotel charges me for car parking and it makes me feel unreasonable.

We had a great stay at Sol Guadalmar Hotel! The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a modern, spotless bathroom. The hotel’s facilities were excellent, and the location right by the sea offered stunning views from our spacious balcony. The restaurant served delicious food. However, the beds made a squeaky noise, which was a bit distracting. Overall, a wonderful experience, and we’d consider coming back!
Not so many restaurants around the hotel though, you need to go to the city center for that
