We had a great stay at Sol Guadalmar Hotel! The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a modern, spotless bathroom. The hotel’s facilities were excellent, and the location right by the sea offered stunning views from our spacious balcony. The restaurant served delicious food. However, the beds made a squeaky noise, which was a bit distracting. Overall, a wonderful experience, and we’d consider coming back!
Not so many restaurants around the hotel though, you need to go to the city center for that

Had a great time with my girlfriend, lovely staff too. Location and facilities were great. Straight into holiday mode once we arrived. Personally didn’t think the food was good (both morning buffet and dinner buffet)

My experience at this hotel, affiliated with the Melia brand, was highly disappointing, especially considering their motto, "designed to always satisfy every guest," which was completely unmet in this case.
The reception service was terrible. I had booked a top room through the Amex circuit, but I was assigned a room on the first floor that was far below expectations. Despite my requests, there was no willingness to change the room. Interestingly, the other room I booked through Booking was noticeably better.
Another negative aspect was the check-in process: excessively slow, with waiting times of at least 10 minutes per guest.
The only positive notes of the stay were the bar service and the breakfast, both of good quality.

Adorable place to stay with a family. I stayed here for two weeks with my son and my mother. A room view was fantastic! Each and every member of the staff was extremely helpful, pleasant and nice. Food was delicious. Wonderful Isabel not only kept our beautiful room clean and tidy every day, but also left her smile in our hearts forever! Perfect family hotel!

We arrived too early for check in so expected to put our bags in storage and head out. Unfortunately we arrived mid storm and were wet through, we were told that luckily our room would be ready and to come back in an hour which we did. When we came back, it still wasn't ready so we went to the indoor pool which is fantastic, not the cleanest but really enjoyable considering the weather outside. We then went back to reception and the same receptionist told us it would be 1 minute and she would come and get us, so we sat for over an hour while other people were checked in. Eventually went back over to be told it was ready and we had just been forgotten (sat directly opposite).
The male reception staff who had taken over by then were really lovely, we went to our room on the 6th floor and sadly the AC/heat didn't work, so after 3 maintenance visits we went downstairs to ask to be moved so we could get our clothes dry. We were given an absolutely beautiful room on the top floor as a free upgrade, and were extremely grateful for the gesture. The 2 men on the reception team were wonderful as were the gym staff, it was just sadly let down by both female staff who were really just very dismissive. The hotel is in a great spot if you like this part of Spain, 20 mins in an uber to malaga, 2 mins walk to a great local shop and beautiful cafe.
Views from the hotel are beautiful.
Many thanks to the staff who helped us there
