The hotel offers a wide range of activities, ensuring that everyone in the family, regardless of age, stays entertained. From fun games and shows to sports activities, there's never a dull moment.
One of the standout features is the numerous swimming pools, each offering a unique vibe, whether you want to relax, enjoy water slides, or let the kids have a blast. The food was another highlight of our stay; every meal was a delight, with a delicious variety of dishes that satisfied every palate.
Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had a breathtaking sea view that added a special touch to our mornings and evenings. The comfort and attention to detail made our stay extra memorable.
For anyone looking for a mix of relaxation, entertainment, and luxury, Sherwood Lara is the perfect destination. We can't wait to return!

My stay at Sherwood Lara was extremely disappointing. The rooms were dirty, with rust present in multiple areas. The hairdryer was dangerously malfunctioning, emitting smoke, and appeared outdated. The room overall felt poorly maintained, as though it had accommodated an excessive number of guests recently. The pool table required payment at an unreasonable rate, adding to the frustration.
The staff’s attitude was appalling. They displayed clear favoritism towards Turkish guests, ignoring the principle of first-come, first-served service. Their disdainful demeanor and lack of basic customer service were unacceptable. The hotel also seemed to have questionable connections with taxi drivers and tour guides, likely to exploit guests.
While the location itself is beautiful, it is inconveniently far from the city center and other attractions. The overall experience was marred by the receptionists’ rudeness and the hostile treatment of foreign visitors. This hotel lacks the welcoming environment and professionalism expected in the hospitality industry.

My husband and I booked our honeymoon here and I was greatly disappointed. I gave 2 stars only because most of the staff are pretty nice. But the hotel itself needs a lot of work. We booked a sky suite and had to be moved to three different rooms. The jacuzzi tub that we BOOKED FOR was broken in 2 other rooms. Finally we got a room with a working one, but the AC didn’t work. The food in the buffet is awful and not very good quality. In the restaurants and small 7/24 cafe, food was much better. Idk it definitely was not 5 stars. A lot of stuff is dirty or not taken care of. The spa is nice though.

We booked a 57 square meter family room but were given a much smaller, filthy room with leaking toilets, hair on the beds, and broken sockets. It took three hours of arguing and assistance from our VIP support to finally get the room we paid for.
The food was also a major disappointment. The same dishes were served every day for both lunch and dinner, with no variety. The dinner grill was burnt and barely edible.
The hotel itself is very old and in terrible condition. The sofas aren’t just dirty—they are covered in a crust of grime that is unpleasant to the touch. The main lobby is not air-conditioned, and you can clearly see that the hotel hasn’t been renovated in 10-20 years. The grounds are small, but there are enough loungers on the beach. While some guests reserve them with towels, fortunately, it’s not widespread, and there are usually enough for everyone.
As for entertainment, we didn’t participate, so I can’t comment on that. However, the music blasting around the pools all day long is unbearable. It’s so loud that it’s uncomfortable to be anywhere near. While some guests might enjoy this kind of atmosphere, I personally found it exhausting—sitting by a speaker blasting five-year-old hits feels more like work than relaxation.
To make matters worse, the air conditioning shuts off at 2 AM, causing the rooms to become unbearably hot by 3 AM. This is unacceptable for a hotel claiming to be five-star.
In conclusion, if you got this hotel for a very low price or if your budget is extremely limited, then maybe you can consider staying here. However, for the amount they charge for a Family Room—nearly 500 euros per night in our case—you should definitely look elsewhere. There are plenty of much better options available. Also, don’t trust the glowing reviews on Google, as they seem manipulated and dishonest.

5 stars is what you get when you stay here. Amazing holiday. Our best family holiday yet. Looking at going again. Only one thing I would mention is for fussy eaters might struggle somewhat in the restaurant at dinner time. Just eat big at lunch and you’ll be fine.
