Positives:
- The hotel building, with the exterior gardens and pool area is stunning. Some might find it a bit old-fashioned, but I think this only adds to its charm, given its historical character.
- The room was comfortable and quiet, with an incredible view of the sea, especially at sunset.
- Excellent breakfast as well as a good selection of restaurants and bars
- The staff were very friendly and even upgraded our room which was a very nice gesture
Negatives:
The only downside isn’t related to the hotel itself but rather its location. The resort is the only beautiful spot in a “town” that’s otherwise filled with ugly, low-end hotels and shops, and overrun with German tourists of the same type.
In conclusion, I highly recommend this hotel, provided you plan to stay within the resort or don’t mind traveling to other parts of Mallorca for sightseeing.

We haven been coming here for the last 15 years with a group of 14 to 16 men to play an internal tennis tournament, in the Tennis Academy Mallorca, 10 minutes walk from the hotel. This hotel is fabulous. The main asset is the personnel. Over the years they have become friends. The breakfast is spectacular and the rooms fully equipped, clean and very comfortable. The view from the terraces is breathtaking. We can warmly recommend the hotel!

I recently stayed at Secrets Mallorca Villamil Resort & Spa, a Hyatt property, with my wife, and while the service and food were top-notch, several areas require attention.
The staff were outstanding, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. From the moment we arrived, their attentiveness and professionalism stood out. The food, too, was fantastic, with high-quality dishes served consistently throughout our stay. However, the overall condition of the hotel detracted from these positives.
The hotel itself is in desperate need of renovation. The rooms and common areas felt old, dated, and lacked the modern, fresh feel expected of a property under the Hyatt brand. A musty smell permeated many parts of the hotel, which gave the impression that it hasn’t been updated or maintained as well as it should be. While we appreciated the service, the aging infrastructure made it difficult to fully enjoy the experience.
Additionally, one major surprise was the demographic of the guests. The majority were retirees, primarily from Germany and Nordic countries, making up about 80% of the guest population. This isn’t something that’s mentioned on the hotel’s website or booking pages, and it would have been useful to know in advance. The activities and entertainment were clearly tailored to this older demographic, which didn’t align with our expectations or preferences. While it’s great for those looking for a calm, retiree-oriented vacation, it’s important for the hotel to be transparent about the type of guest experience it offers.
Furthermore, the gym and spa facilities were disappointing. The gym was small, lacked adequate equipment, and was unbearably hot due to the absence of air conditioning. For a resort of this caliber, this was unexpected and made it challenging to use the facilities comfortably.
The nightly entertainment also fell below the standards one would expect from a 5-star hotel. The shows didn’t align with the quality typically associated with the Hyatt brand, and unfortunately, our room was located on the same floor as the entertainment. The noise levels were very disruptive, and it was difficult to relax or watch TV while the shows were going on. While we were able to escape to the balcony to get some peace, this was an inconvenience that could have been avoided with better sound insulation and room design. A renovation and update to the room’s décor and insulation are desperately needed to improve the guest experience.
In summary, while the service and dining were exceptional, the aging condition of the hotel, limited gym facilities, and lack of transparency about the guest demographic should be addressed. This was not the 5-star experience we expected from a Hyatt property, and we hope the necessary updates and improvements are made to align the hotel with the high standards of the brand.

My stay at Secrets Mallorca Villamil was one of the best experiences I've ever had! Everything was perfect.
My room was spacious, super clean, and had an amazing sea view.
The service was top-notch. Every staff member was so helpful and kind, always ready to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. It really made a difference.
The food was varied and delicious, with several dining options: a Sea Grill restaurant, a tapas restaurant, a Mediterranean restaurant, and a buffet. I think I had the best paella I've ever tasted!
The vibe of the hotel is immaculate – luxurious yet laid-back, and it is located right in front of a gorgeous white sand beach.
I absolutely loved my time at Secrets Villamil Mallorca and can't wait to go back. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a fantastic vacation spot in Mallorca.

Pros:
• Very kind staff (especially Jessica in piano bar)
• Evening entertainment every night.
• Amazing location (safe & secluded with easy beach access) not crowded at all.
• Gorgeous sea views from our room and from most restaurants.
• Good air conditioning.
• Cocktails at Barefoot grill and Piano bar were delicious. Overall, bar service was great.
Cons:
• Outdated decor (overall condition of the property)
• Room service/front desk don't answer the phone.
• Only one small (plus preferred club members) pool.
• Sun loungers are very dirty & stained.
• Ordered breakfast and it wasn't delivered, & when they did eventually deliver breakfast, they forgot half of our order.
• Breakfast and dinner buffet food was a bit disappointing, especially compared to the quality of other restaurants in the resort. Olio and Barefoot grill had much tastier food than buffet.
• The front desk guy was angry and stressed, throwing his hands up and cursing in Spanish. He served us and all was well but his attitude made for a very uncomfortable interaction.
