Disappointing Experience – Not a 5-Star Standard
If I could, I would give zero stars, except maybe for the breakfast—although even that was underwhelming, and the coffee was one of the worst I’ve ever had, whether it was a cappuccino or regular coffee.
Unfortunately, I have to say that the room renovations were done in the cheapest possible way, and the hotel does not live up to a true 5-star standard. On top of that, charging €15 per night for parking is quite questionable, especially considering that I have stayed in many hotels of this category before.
Another major issue is the poor soundproofing. The walls are extremely thin, and you can hear every footstep in the hallway as well as conversations from neighboring rooms.
The hotel looks clean and well-maintained, and the gym and pool area are beautiful, but sadly, that’s not enough. The most important thing in a hotel is the bed, and here it was far too hard, with cheap pillows—probably from IKEA or an even lower-quality brand.
Overall, the hotel looks nice at first glance, but everything was renovated on a budget, and it shows. I strongly suggest upgrading the beds first, as sleep quality should be the top priority in any hotel.
Lastly, I must mention the poor service at the reception—the receptionist left me waiting in my car for 10 minutes before allowing me to enter, and she even seemed to find it amusing.
A truly disappointing experience. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and improves the comfort and service.

Great visit! Beautiful hotel, location wasn’t as bad as the reviews made it out to be (but was a little rough!). Lunch was a struggle most days as none of the food trucks in the hotel were not open yet & the area didn’t have a lot of nice restaurants. Check in staff were all lovely! Room was so comfy and had everything we could need! Bar service could be difficult sometimes and had a few instances with double charging or dirty glasses.

Good but not 5*.
We choose this hotel by reviews. We arrive to workation (it means vacation and work at the same time). Our main requirements for the hotel were: good WiFi connection around the hotel; gym (as we both exercising) and don’t want to interrupt our trainings; sauna - to get some rest after training and the one taking care of nature.
With the last one hotel impress us in the best possible way: wooded straws, reusable coffee cups, wooden furniture and in general amazing taste in interior!
But you need to take into account a few things when you are coming here.
*WiFi connection is not good.* The speed in different days and different locations at the hotel varies from 5Mbps till 25Mbps. Didn’t register more(and may share screenshots to prove it).
Gym - extremely hot inside. You need to keep your doors open when exercising as it is impossible. Maybe the personnel didn’t care much to turn on some conditioning but this is another story. Otherwise the equipment is a great quality, clean and new.
Sauna - well, where to start. We was not lucky enough and the weather during our stay (9 nights) was mainly bad - cold, windy, rainy. One of the days when i was lying on the relax zone at sauna - manager Filip approached a couple who rested near me and told them that at some point when there will be to many people who are waiting at the sauna - they need to leave. I heard that. I missed the part, that everyone may stay there only for 1 hour. I visited sauna and felt not the best and it was when I should leave. Filip approached me and I told him that I’m feeling unwell after sitting in heat and I need a few minutes to come back to the normal state. While we spoke, one couple left and there were empty sun beds. He came back within 3 minutes and declared that he needs to ask me to leave, as he “needs empty sun beds”. It wasn’t described in hotel rules and I understand that the rules may change on the flight. But the way of communication was chosen the wrong one. I approached the reception desk after I was thrown out the sauna and tried to explain my point of view. But I felt like I have a battle with everyone there. I left still in a bad mood, as Filip tried to convince me that I’m wrong. Don’t think that this conversation was at 5*hotel level.
Besides that in the sauna two men were sat in sauna on the couch and walking around in regular shoes. I think it is not ok, especially when people are going from sauna to pool without shoes at all. Filip saw them but said nothing, like it was a normal thing.
At the same time, hotel in its naming has “adults only”, but it should be changed to “adults only but something kids are staying here as well”. There were two kids in sauna same time I visited it.
On top of that one of the most famous people in reviews Filip, known by his friendliness - didn’t even say hi to me or my husband during our stay, which I think is one of the most unprofessional behaviour after arguing with anyone. So I may assume it is only a mask which he wears when his actions didn’t cause any inconvenience. Otherwise he will be your personal enemy during your whole stay. I hope that he will learn how to talk to people after conflicts :)
Small thing - on the roof top waiters are taking your drink even if there some left and offering you one more. When I asked a guy no to take my coffee yet - I felt like I’m an inconvenient uninvited person, who came to someone’s house with dirty shoes and asking for some favour. It shouldn’t be like this in 5* hotel. Stuff is a key to success.
At the same time, I may say that Laura on reception and all cleaning ladies are amazing.
Wishing this place only luck and amazing stuff, as it is worth to be visited but some improvements are needed.

Rooms are small and very simplistic.
When you enter , you enter basically the bathroom with the sink and so when you wash it's bassicaly in the room.
The cupboard is a construction of wood and metal again super simplistic.
Lobby and common areas look like a regular building.
I visited 3 stars hotel which gave a more luxurious feeling.
Service was not attentive.
People at the reception were not really helpful and attentive.
Overall, totally not a 5 star experience.

We recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a good experience. The variety of room options is great, we had a small apartment with a kitchen and balcony, which we really enjoyed. We’ve stayed in other hotels of this chain before, and they all have a very similar style and amenities, so I find it surprising that this one is rated 5 stars when it feels more like a very good 4-stars hotel.
However, the worst part for us was the location. While Playa de Palma has a nice beach, this specific area (close to El Arenal) is quite run-down, with deteriorated buildings, not really a good gastronomic offer, and a type of tourism that doesn’t create the best atmosphere. If location is important to you, I’d recommend looking elsewhere maybe between Can Pastilla and the location of this hotel in the same Playa de Palma where you can find other HM hotels.
