We stayed for 6 nights at Salobre in the family junior suite. We would not recommend this hotel to others, as it does not live up to the 5-star expeditions and price.
1) Weeks before our arrival, we informed the hotel we will be travelling with a young baby. For that reason, we requested a room far away from the (busy) pool, and close to the restaurant. This way our baby can sleep during the day, and we would be able to dine in the evening while she would sleep. Besides that, we requested a baby bed.
Upon our arrival it was a complete surprise to the staff that we were travelling with a young baby. We got a room which was on top of the noisy swimming pool, and a 6min walk from the restaurant. There was no baby bed placed in our room. It was not a welcoming start.
Besides that, rooms are quite outdated.
2) Housekeeping struggles to clean all the rooms everyday. When we informed reception that we needed housekeeping, since our toilet paper was also running out, they still did not manage to clean our room.
3) Breakfast- and dinner buffets are not of 5-star quality. The orange juice is filled from plastic containers (not fresh), fruits are mostly canned, pancakes are dry. During dinner the menu cards are often wrongly placed. Meaning you should not be allergic or intolerant to any ingredient to dine here.
4) The running track at the hotel is at the Gulf court. Instructions are nowhere to be found, meaning you have to find your own way around the running court which is not a comfortable experience.
5) For several days in a row, we requested the option to extend our stay with 1 hour on the day we needed to check-out. This way our baby could still properly sleep during the day. On the day of our actual check-out we got informed that we had to leave our room at the original timeslot. The reason was that housekeeping was scheduled at 12:00h which was quite painful as we did not experience much housekeeping ourselves. A very negative goodbye

5 stars all the way. Second time staying here. This place is heaven on earth. We decided to rent a car to go somewhere and hit the town, but we got the Salobre hotel blues. This is the perfect place to enjoy, relax, find your creative self. Yurena stood out for me at dinner she is so lovely, and always fried the fish really well, it was always the highlight of my dinner. Attention of the staff is amazing, everyone is super helpful and happy!

We organized a 3 day event for 15 people. All went very well. Rooms, facilites and services are great, but the absolute star of the hotel are the staff. Every single staff member is eager to help and assist with anything they can, even more when challenges arise. This event was a success and I have to thank them for it. Thank you all! We will definitively come back.

I had the absolutly perfect week at Salobre! If you’re looking for serenity, peace and relaxation this the ideal place. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Food was fresh and delicious. The whole resort pays a lot if attention to detail and comfort. Spa is an absolute must, great treatments!
All in all perfect vacation and time off from home, work and stress. Coming back soon!

An oasis of calm above the busy coast of Maspalomas. Everything you require for a relaxing holiday and service with a smile! Lovely smelling hotel with fabulous pools and towels provided. Amazing plants everywhere creating a serene minimalist feel. Great gym with a view. Spa looked beautiful but guests of the hotel should not be charged to use it! Beautiful Golf Course. Tennis courts would be an added bonus!
Nice sized bedrooms with good lighting and plenty of storage. A stool for the bathroom area to dry hair would be good! Lovely beds, pillows and linens. Great shower and bath.. Although we did ask for a privacy curtain for the strange window into the bedroom! Which arrived immediately...Hairdryer, robes, slippers and lovely toiletries. Safe, fridge and kettle with tea and coffee supplied daily. Bottle water supplied daily too. Great patio area with chairs, table and loungers.
Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. Porridge was cold though! The evening buffets varied and had plenty of choice, but a bit hit and miss at times! Some meats were overcooked and some dishes were cold. Hot plates for serving would be good! And definitely need to improve on cooking roast potatoes they were dry and tasteless! Cooking stations were the best as everything cooked fresh and hot. But these areas would of course get busy! Overall food was plentiful and good.
