We have just arrived home from a wonderful holiday at the Belvedere. We have three teenagers and they all thoroughly enjoyed.
There are 3 big pools to choose from, but their favourite was the top pool with the jacuzzi.
There are also two snack bars open throughout the day with one offering fresh Gyros. These were a great hit with them all.
The only reason for the 4 star was the lack of room for clothes. The wardrobe space was really small and wouldn't have been big enough for my husband and I never mind the children too.
The rooms are pretty basic but we didn't mind, we were only in the rooms to shower and sleep.
The animals at the hotel were a big hit too, the donkeys, goats, chicken, ducks and turtles. We loved visiting them most days.
There is also a free shuttle bus by the hotel to take you to the star beach which also has a few water slides which we thoroughly enjoyed. It was €10 each for the full day. If you wanted the sunbeds at star beach these were at a fee.
The food is okay, pretty much what you expect for an all inclusive family holiday. Plenty to choose from and the grills are cooked fresh along with omelettes.
The staff were always lovely and friendly and always happy to help.
To keep 3 teenagers happy can be a challenge in itself but they were all happy and didn't want to come home.
Would definitely recommend visiting.

Miserable Experience! DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!
The hotel's description is completely misleading. They claim it's just 500 meters to the beach, but in reality, it's a whopping 4 kilometers away. The swimming pool was always packed, with no sunbeds or umbrellas available, leaving us to bake in the sun. The room was dirty and we found hair of the previous guests all over. The food was completely tasteless, and the staff were shockingly rude. When we voiced our concerns about the terrible conditions, we were sent to the manager, who turned out to be just as rude and utterly incompetent. This person had zero problem-solving abilities and offered no solutions whatsoever. To make matters worse, they made us pay for the towels—even though we had booked an "all-inclusive" package. In fact, despite the "all-inclusive" label, they made us pay for lots of other things as well. This place is ridiculously overpriced with absolutely zero quality. I would never, ever book this hotel again!

A lovely family hotel but not luxury which wasn’t expected. Ideal for families with young children. Wouldn’t come here if you don’t have little
Ones. It’s a large, all inclusive hotel so you have to expect it to be busy. All pools were clean and well maintained. Did struggle to find sunbeds some days as people would ‘reserve’ them. And by that I mean leave their towels on them overnight or get up early to put towels down!
Room was clean and cleaners came every day and did a thorough job.
Food served all day and lots of choice, however, quality isn’t amazing and did become a bit bland and boring as it’s lots of the same things everyday. But again, this is to be expected in a large all inclusive hotel. However, both the Asian and Greek restaurants included were nice although not overly child friendly.
Shops and beach within walking distance or a short taxi ride. Definitely worth venturing out of the resort. Overall it was a pleasant holiday and we would consider revisiting!

All Inclusive Hotel Including Food Poisoning
The most unfortunate experience was food poisoning whilst staying at this hotel. It ruined two days as I had to stay in the room. The local doctor confirmed gastro enteritis. Whether it was caused by Norovirus which has had spikes on parts of the island or buffet food which had become luke warm after a certain amount of time is unknown but the symptoms were extremely unpleasant.
This hotel is geared up for family holidays with children. It is evident from the animals in cages on the edge of the hotel, play areas, food choices and entertainment. There was no “adults only” section. This maybe an issue for people who want a tranquil location but the hotel did an excellent job at catering for children. If you are looking for a peaceful and quiet location, this place does not fit the criteria.
The hotel was formerly two which now combine so it can be challenging to navigate. There are also lots of steps due to the location and it is a steep walk up and down the hill to get to the sea front so you need to be pretty fit to get around the place. Sea can be rough and beaches below the hotel are limited in size. The surrounding area is tired and dated with lots of litter scattered around. The hotel pools and location are far better.
I found the entertainment evenings limited considering the number of guests staying but what they did was good.
Points to note:
The east building has been refurbished but the west building rooms have not so there is quite a difference.
There is currently a near by construction site on the west side of the hotel with constant foundation drilling and banging from 7 AM and 8 AM weekends until about 4 PM. The
east building is not effected by the noise and dust.
When leaving luggage at check out, there is no secure baggage area so leave it at your own risk.
The hotel has a “ no reserve “sun lounger” policy but it is not enforced. I saw people place towels in prime positions early morning and then disappear for several hours thus other guests could not use them.
Bring your own towels!!! You cannot use room towels when going to the pool and towels provided for this area are extremely expensive to hire at an extra cost! This is a first…
The inside hotel bar areas and sea face North so don’t expect full sunshine from the rooms apart from the south and east part of the hotel which has Mountain Views. The pool area and lower bar does get sun.
This hotel has a lot to offer and the newly refurbished section is stunning. It is definitely a family hotel and the food provided is perfect for kids and it certainly caters for all tastes for adults.
Issues with food temperature are a worry.
In all, a good place for families but too noisy for me and being very ill due to food poisoning so I wouldn’t return.

I recently spent a fantastic vacation at the Royal & Imperial Belvedere Resort from September 20-27, 2024, and it exceeded all of my expectations. Although we arrived quite late (around midnight), the hotel had prepared a buffet for us, which was a wonderful surprise. It was so thoughtful to have food available even at such a late hour. Additionally, they provided transportation to our apartment, making the arrival smooth and hassle-free.
The cleanliness of the rooms was impeccable. Housekeeping came by daily, and fresh towels were always provided. The rooms were well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
As for the All-Inclusive experience, the food and drink options were available throughout the entire day, which was perfect for when we wanted a snack or a refreshing drink. One of the highlights was having two special dinners included in our package. The first was at Kafeneio, a traditional Greek restaurant, and the second was at Imperial Sakura Savor, where we enjoyed delicious Asian cuisine. Both experiences were exceptional!
Overall, the resort is a place you’ll want to return to. The staff, the facilities, the dining options—everything was top-notch. It truly went above and beyond our expectations. Highly recommended!
