Reception staff at the hotel were very helpful and spoke fluent Spanish & English. The double room was spacious with a great view of the swimming pool. Although there was a mini fridge they was no tea/ coffee/ biscuit compliments in the bedroom. Apparently only those paying all inclusive were entitled to free drinks. However, the buffet breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of hot food available including various teas and coffees.

Loved the hotel. Perfect Spanish feel that we love. We have enjoyed a few nights in October and felt very looked after by the staff here.
We are thrilled to of chosen the All Inclusive option. It's exactly the same, proper glasses and no restrictions.

I’m on the fence with Royal Al-Andalus.
On one hand, the staff are incredibly friendly and proficient in their craft. The hotel is nicely located and essentially a 10 minute walk to the beach and the town center — which is great.
As far as drinking and all inclusive benefits go, the hotel is pretty well stocked with a good selection of local beers, spirits, and other non-alcoholic beverages. I couldn’t find anything to prod a stick at there.
On the other hand, there are several things that just let it down. For starters, the outdated decor and paper-thin walls — they’re reminiscent of a 1970s budget hotel, which doesn’t really reflect the four-star status that the hotel currently upholds. It doesn’t help, either, that there are barely any choices for entertainment outside of a relatively dim lobby bar. And that brings me to my next point: the hotel is practically deserted after the pool bar closes at 7:30pm. After that, you can either choose to sit in the aforementioned lobby bar and sit quietly, or vacate the hotel altogether and go somewhere else for something to do.
The food is hit and miss; it’s 80% fish, with the exception of the odd chicken appetizer or some form of paella. Aside from that, it’s essentially a selection of the basic European dishes, which includes salads, pastas, and fruit. Granted, none of the above items are piping hot on arrival, but I’ve certainly seen and eaten a lot worse.
I wouldn’t go as far as to say that Al-Andalus is a four-star hotel, but for the price, you can’t really complain all that much. If, however, you’re after something with a bit more of a pulse, then you ought to consider staying in another hotel a little closer to the center of Torremolinos.

A nice hotel that offered a superb value holiday. All clean and tidy, friendly staff. Food a little repetitive and not lots of choice but always something I would eat. Nice pool and bar area. On the beach in 10 mins walk from the hotel.

Honestly couldn't have been happier here. We stayed for 10 days and 9 nights. After reading the reviews I was a bit worried but please ignore and go and experience for yourself. This is a very Spanish hotel with beautiful traditional decor. The guests were mainly Spanish which just shows how good it is, if even the locals stay there. The food was amazing, really tasty and loads to choose from. Housekeeping came in the clean the room everyday and you could have clean towels as and when you needed. So many facilities and less than 10 minute walk to the beach. The pool was cleaned so regularly, I was so shocked but how nicely kept everything was. Aircon in the rooms which was an absolute lifesaver at night and very quiet too. We will definitely be coming back, cannot recommend enough!!
