The room had a great view, but the service was disappointing, particularly for Asian guests. Despite being an all-inclusive resort, the food quality was poor. In the restaurants, waiters consistently ignored us, taking drink orders from everyone around us but not from us. This wasn’t just our experience; we noticed similar treatment toward other Asian guests. Staff would greet Western guests warmly but completely ignore us, even when we were standing right in front of them. This happened multiple times throughout our stay and seemed like an effort to prioritize Western guests, likely expecting tips due to the “one-dollar culture.” The bell captain was especially rude, telling us, “Can you be quick? I’m very busy,” as soon as he entered our room for the buggy service. Additionally, the location is far and not conveniently near the city. Overall, it is not recommended.
Responding to the hotel response: We did not get any sort of questionnaires/feedback forms throughout our stay. And of course, after browsing through comments of the other Asian folks. The differentiated treatment towards Asians appears to be a norm for this resort. Here are some of the most recent reviews.

We really enjoyed our stay again. The room was nice and spacious with a great view. Of the restaurants I would like to highlight the oriental (Tagine) and the Asian, both are very good. Even at the Italian restaurant you could always find something that tasted good.
The staff everywhere was very, very friendly and helpful. Our thanks to everyone for that!
A big shout out to the animation team, they all did a great job and we had a lot of fun.

During our December stay, my partner and I encountered several issues that significantly impacted our experience.
Dining:
The food quality was subpar, with repetitive dishes across all restaurants. Fruits and vegetables lacked flavor, and meats appeared less than fresh, leading to frequent digestive issues. To avoid further illness, we resorted to eating only fries and pizza during the last seven days. A more limited menu focusing on quality over quantity would be advisable.
Facilities:
Of all the pools available, only one was heated, resulting in overcrowding. The entertainment was minimal, seemingly tailored for a much older audience.
Service:
We were constantly harassed by vendors pushing additional services. Notably, a man named Mohamed aggressively approached us each morning during breakfast, attempting to sell €10 disco tickets. Our refusals were met with comments in Arabic, possibly insults. Additionally, staff distributing beach towels made inappropriate remarks about female guests in Arabic. To top it off, our clothes given to the laundry service were lost.
On a positive note, the beach is beautiful, and our room offered a lovely view. The hotel’s architectural style, with its white stone design, was charming. Some poolside bartenders and a few servers were genuinely kind and professional, which slightly improved our overall experience.
This hotel has great potential. By offering half-board options, reducing the number of dishes while enhancing their quality, and curbing aggressive sales tactics, it could justify higher room rates and provide a top-notch experience.
Despite these few positive aspects, the establishment, claiming a 5-star rating, falls short, barely meeting 3-star standards. The blatant lack of respect towards guests is appalling. I felt humiliated, treated merely as a source of income rather than a valued guest. If you wish to avoid an experience where you’re seen only as a walking wallet, steer clear of this hotel.

Firstly I’d like to address the positives, the resort is beautiful and definitely 5* , it’s kept very clean and scheduled on time for cleaning/food/serving etc and the facilities are amazing! , the staff at the palm pool are incredible and always looking to assist and help, the waiting staff and managers for citadel restaurant and food court are brilliant and always kept myself and my husband smiling. 10/10 for some of the staff there , they work very hard and will always try to make you smile
Now, I’d say there’s just a few adjustments that would really make this place amazing, first off when we arrived the entrance and security was great and really made you feel safe, the staff helping with our suitcases were welcoming and made you feel special, however as soon as we approached the reception for the first time checking in in the evening we were rarely acknowledged or greeted, there wasn’t much of a recognition or explanation of the resort and where we were to go it was very quick and almost ‘send you on your way’. First impressions last and this unfortunately stayed with us throughout the stay. The rooms are beautiful but we found that the floor was quite dirty when we’d walk around bare foot in the room only, our feet would be black with dust so just some updated cleaning of the floor would of been great.
I did request some time prior back and forth through email for any adjustments to the room to be made and if anything could be done to make our first visit to Egypt special as we were celebrating our anniversary but nothing was noted or added to my knowledge which was unfortunate compared to other resorts we have visited in the past.
On one occasion I rang room service for myself and husband only to be greeted with an incredibly rude man on the phone who seemed almost offended by my request to order food, a female member of staff rang the room back to take the order again which was to my surprise I thought I’d ordered with the gentlemen. Overall I felt a little out of depth with regards to asking for help, assistance or ringing for facilities which was a little uncomfortable at times due to this.
The mini fridges in room could be stocked a little more often or if there was a multiple choice card of water/soft drink options that you could choose from so they could be stocked more specifically for each room that would massively jump the service up to 5* and streamline the process for them and also guests staying.
All in all we did really enjoy our stay, it was peaceful , weather was beautiful and we really didn’t want to come home
we are looking to return to Egypt end of December for 2 weeks. We would love to stay here again if the little adjustments were made.

The hotel itself was amazing, with excellent facilities and good food. However, the buffets stayed the same throughout our stay, which became quite boring as there was no variety. Unfortunately, we also had several incidents with the staff, who were consistently rude to us, treating us differently than they did foreign guests. This really affected our experience and was disappointing in an otherwise pleasant setting
