Booked a weekend getaway break to Malta via a travel agent for my daughter's birthday recently.
I had a seaview apartment (beautiful sight to Behold 🤩 🌊)
Shout out to my travel agent (Tele Adewusi of Inteletravel) for booking this amazing Hotel and organising cabs to and from the Hotel etc. It made our trip stressless 😉.
One of the best weekend ever! 💯.
See below for details:
Pros:
~ All the staff i made contact with were friendly, attentive, respectful and helpful. They went above and beyond to provide high quality customer service.
Shout out to Francine and Monica (at the reception), they were super amazing and deserve awards for excellent customer service 🏆🏆.
~ Clean environment 🏨
~ Cave restaurant serves delish meals 😋🥗🍜. I had dinner delivered to my room on a busy Friday night and the service was top notch. Shout out to Amin!👊🏽
~ Seaview apartment highly recommended.
~ Lovely pool/ Jacuzzi and Sauna facilities🏊🏽♀️. I enjoyed all of it to the max perhaps because it wasn't that busy for the time of the year I booked.
~ The best part of my stay was the massages 🤩.
I highly recommend getting a massage at the Nataraya Day Spa & Wellness within the Hotel.
They offer a variety of massages to choose from.
One of the best I've had in a long time! 💆🏽♀️ 👌🏼.
A big shout out to Allen and Jacob!. They deserve 5 stars ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️ because they both did a fantastic job. I couldn't resist adding them to my review (with their consent).
Cons:
~ Slight smell in toilet area but it wasn't that bad.
Overall, I had an amazing time here and will highly recommend 💯.

One of the worst hotel “experiences” of our lives.
We booked a standard room with half board, which turned out to be basically a hole. The ceiling was about 2 meters high. The bathroom was so tiny that the two of us couldn’t fit in at the same time.
Half board didn’t include any drinks with dinner—not even water (which was not mentioned anywhere). So even for unlimited drinks or just a bottle of water, you had to pay extra.
Since we arrived late, we only noticed the next day that there was no hot water, just lukewarm—unsuitable for showering. On top of that, the power socket was sparking.
We reported this to the reception, where they told us there were no free rooms, but they would move us the next day once one became available. (In the meantime, we could shower in the SPA…). No compensation was offered.
In the new room (which was a higher-category pool view room), the bathroom window couldn’t be locked and was almost falling out of the frame. It’s visible in the photo.
They tried to make dinner varied, but it was so overcomplicated that the only proper food available every night was chicken legs or pulled meat.
Not a single evening went by where we could leave the table feeling satisfied or truly full.
The cave visible in the photos is actually a Cave Bar, not the dinner venue, and consumption there is charged separately.
The hotel’s facilities and overall conditions felt like a 3-star hotel at best. Last year we stayed at another 4-star hotel in Malta, and that was light years better.
Every single forint spent on the dinner was a complete waste of money.
For the last two evenings, we ate sandwiches instead, but on the final night, the cold cuts were frozen to the plate and couldn’t even be removed (we have a video of it).
At the SPA, the receptionist was only occasionally at her post, and the sauna shut down periodically, so we often had to wait until someone came to start it up again.
At the reception, Henrik was the only one who showed any willingness to help and genuine understanding—thank you for that.

Our room was great, the location and view was great, the staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel is a maze but you learn to get around eventually. Why the 3 stars breakfast was absolutely fine enough of everything I can’t think of anything else they could offer. The evening meals were poor (we were half board), the staff in the restaurant were veeeery slow. The cave bar offered beautiful views but beware their drinks and ice creams were double the price of the bars in town!!

It's a really nice hotel, and great value. The views from our room and balcony were gorgeous, as is the pool. Unfortunately both our room and pool experiences were completely ruined during our stay! BEWARE this hotel rents its infinity pool out to locals every day, AND gives them preference of the best sunbeds, for next to nothing. You pay & get credit for your meals so the pool & sunbeds are basically free. Not only this but the sunbeds they book are reserved from the moment the pool opens so there's no chance at all to get the sunbeds closest to the pool. The locals that visited during our stay were super rowdy and drunk, not taking care of their kids who broke all rules jumping into the pool from the top of the waterfall for example. When challenged the parents lied and said their kids didn't do anything. Total shame, what a way to destroy such a beautiful facility. Our room has gorgeous views but was immediately next to a high use lift - due to this we were woken at all hours of morning and night, making it very hard to sleep. When we requested a partial refund, not wanting to move to a less nice room, it was denied outright. Both issues were reported to the on duty manager (Maltese) and then the official (German looking) manager and ignored pretty much. Pretty disgusting. during our stay I witnessed others complaining to the main manager to no avail also. Such a shame because the rest of the staff are very nice and try to help, and the cave bar is also fab, as is happy hour and the cocktails! P.S. I've read some of the unprofessional responses to other negative or critical reviews already - just goes to show how the managers deal with issues - so poor. Essentially, if you have a problem, it won't be sorted it seems. Instead it becomes the guest's fault.

Lovely hotel, quite large and confusing at first, but you get the hang of it.
Lovely spacious rooms, and good food. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Doreen in the Restaurant.
Mellieha is a lovely village with good public transport.
Would definitely like to come back again.
