Stayed for a week with our quite large (49) Riviera travel tour group.
Paid extra for a garden view room and glad we did, some rooms face over a busy road and a section of the hotel is actually over the other side of the road. Very pleased with our room which actually looked down over the bay. (See pic)
Room had a balcony and plenty big enough for our needs.
Breakfast and Evening meal was a buffet arrangement in the Dining area. Very happy with the selection and quality on offer. The dining area does get very noisy though, very popular with the tour groups.
The rooftop bar is terrific, especially when the weather good as it was for us, great place for a sundowner.
Various swimming pools, inside and out, quiet garden area to relax if needed.
Main road outside is busy and noisy (traffic), Malta in general has a lot of road traffic and don't expect to get anywhere particularly quickly. Buses plentiful and a number stop very near the hotel. Decent choice of eateries around and in the hotel itself.
Would happily recommend this place.

Positives - rooftop bar is excellent with amazing views. Pool slightly cold but worth a dip. Cleaning is excellent. Breakfast was varied and excellent. Room was ok.
Negatives - the sauna and steam rooms were closed our entire stay. Jacuzzi was rubbish. Spa treatments expensive. Our room overlooked other rooms and had no view. Hotel was noisy at night

Thank you for a wonderful stay. It's the best hotel we have stayed in. Location was perfect, rooms were lovely (bed a little hard), great bath and shower with fabulous water pressure. A balcony to watch the world go by with a stunning view. Breakfast was amazing and the selection outstanding. Thank you to the housekeeping staff who were always so efficient and friendly. And as mentioned in another review we loved dining at Al Ponte. The indoor pool and jacuzzi was our favourite spot in an afternoon. I can truly say for the first time in a long while we were relaxed. We will certainly be returning.

It would seem a common theme through the reviews we paid for an upgraded room but it seemed the room was a standard room with a few upgraded furnishings .The balcony is really only comfortable for 1 person and faces the road with lots of traffic noise and smell of fumes.
I have to say this is not what I would call a 4 star room.
also several couples paid for a upgraded room but were changed to standard when they complained the rooms were changed.
Unfortunately they were occupied which meant the occupants had to be moved.
I would not stay again .I have never left a bad review in all my travels of over 45 years of travelling abroad.

Our initial thoughts on the hotel were mixed. The double room we were given had an adjoining door to the next room which had no sound proofing and we had a few disturbed nights of sleep, before we had to complain (people checking in, TVs, banging!! Fortunately Anna on reception was understanding and quickly provided a solution. Our new room was great, and we are grateful for her help. The roof top pool and loungers was a great space to relax and the Asian restaurant on the roof offered great food, view and service. The Italian on the ground floor was nice and had a discount for residents and we found the breakfast restaurant well organised. Overall we enjoyed our stay and time at the hotel.
