This hotel was fabulous! The room was quite big with extremely comfortable beds, huge wardrobe, sofa, tv, table & stools, fridge, kettle (take tea bags!) & a beautiful bathroom with walk in shower. We had booked a pool view room so also had a balcony & could see the sea. The rest of the hotel was very clean & constantly smelled amazing! The staff were all so friendly & always helpful. There is an outside pool with plenty of loungers (you can hire towels for a refundable deposit too), an indoor heated pool, a spa, a gymnasium & a rooftop solarium with jacuzzi. On the lower floor breakfast is served as a buffet with every hot & cold choice you could think of & even a chef cooking eggs/omelettes to your preference. The room is large with plenty of tables & we never had to wait. There is an evening buffet served here too. On the ground floor there is a bar and lounge area, outside pool bar and an a la carte restaurant. We didn't eat at the hotel in the evenings because there were so many different restaurants nearby. The beach, with cafes, mini golf, shops and restaurants is about a 5 to 10 minute walk from main reception. The town can be accessed by a lift at the back of the hotel and then about a 10 minute walk. This cuts out all of the steps which lead up to the town from the beach and is a great bonus. Torremolinos is a lovely place for all ages and has a good atmosphere with plenty of things to do, even in February! The hotel was in a perfect position to enjoy everything and we will definitely return.

My wife and I have stayed in a number of hotels in the Torremolinos area over the years but during the last 3 years this hotel has come to be our favourite. The staff are really pleasant and welcoming from the moment you arrive and for us, the hotel appears to be well run, certainly well positioned and in general terms, good value for money. The rooms are far more spacious than many of the 4 star hotels we've stayed in and we find it a good idea that you can make hot drinks whenever you want. I really find it difficult to understand that some critiques have included adverse comments about the food as every time we've stayed at this hotel there has been a really good choice on offer. What's brilliant about the location is that you can leave via the front exit for the coastal areas, or use the lift at the rear to take you part way to the commercial area. If there was one area we would like to see improved it would be the range of the prices of wine served in the restaurant. Bearing in mind that Spain produces lots of wines, I wish they would serve a range of lower, medium and higher priced wines, not only to give people a choice as to what they want, but I'm convinced they'd actually sell more. I realise that you always pay more in hotels and restaurants. but having previously lived in Spain for many years, I know you can buy really nice wines for a lot less than the 24 euros they currently charge for a bottle of red wine.

My friend & I stayed at this lovely hotel in La Bajondillo for 4 nights early october. Weather fantastic. 15 minutes from the airport. Resort brilliant just a few minutes walk from hotel with enough shops bars & restaurants for a lovely relaxing few days away. Our balcony door didn't lock but it was fixed straight away. Rooms large & clean. Comfy beds. No tea, coffee & milk sachets etc as you would normally get in a 4* hotel but there was a supermarket next door a bit expensive ! Not sure if we had clean towels daily. Breakfast was lovely so much choice. Coffee not that great even from the bar ! Staff were really friendly & helpful. All the pool areas lovely & clean too. Pool towels to hire €5 for full stay. We will definitely be back next year with a pool view 😎 !! As we didn't have enough time to see & do things

AguaMarina is partly renovated and situated close to the beach (walk down the parking alley). There is an elevator up to the hill for walking to the town, and with approximately five minutes you are at the center. About the rooms, some are new, other rooms are a bit outdated. You have enough space in the room, but the balconies are a bit small. An electric stove is in the kitchen, but lacks pans. The restaurant has an okay and a standard variety of food. The swimming pools are not too big, outside and inside, but are perfect for a refreshing bath. The poolbar makes perfect cocktails and the staff is very friendly. Also the reception is always very friendly and will help you with your questions. Bathtowels can be hired and can be switched every day. The cleaning of the rooms can be a little bit better. I recommend mopping every two or three days, because the footprints last for more than a week. The bedclothes can be refreshed by putting a card on the cushion; that is what I call smart thinking. Thank you for having us and hopefully you can give others an even better experience than you did for us with the tips!

Hotel visit wasn't too pleasant because the staff was unable to quiet down the Spanish youngsters who were partying all night in other rooms.
The breakfast was good, though, but wasn't enough to compensate a night with couple of hours of sleep.
Costa del Sol itself was a bad experience as a tourist. As a young couple, we were overlooked, restaurant didn't give change back from a purchase and the general atmosphere was like "you are not welcome here but we will take your money". Only friendly customer service we received from the local Asian restaurant. That's a saddening result from a one-week holiday.
Costa del Sol? Never again.
