I usually stay here as a cheaper option than Malaga when I have a flight and have never been disappointed.
The staff is really lovely, polite, friendly and knowledgeable.
The views from the restaurant are priceless.
The hotel is really close to downtown and the metro to the airport.
The rooms are quite big and comfy. Some of the mattresses are a bit too soft, but that's a minor issue.

Hotel is located in a good area, rooms at the front overlook a busy road, noise! Changed to the rear, for an added charge as it had a balcony, €17 a day extra. Room was OK had no waste bin toilet brush or drinking glasses, bed uncomfortable for us. It was clean. Breakfast ok good choice, busy with Spanish tour party's, reception staff very helpful.

Stayed here from Friday 1st November 2024 for my friends Birthday. Stayed here last year same time. The hotel has a beautiful warm charm to it, which is mostly made up because of the staff their. Everyone is amazing and so friendly. The dining room was always greeted by a lovely man Jose, always happy and smiling and he remembers your name. But once again the lovely Angela on reception was their for me being as helpful & charming as she always is, a credit to the hotel. I hope the manager appreciates her positive attitude towards her job and guest and they pass on a big thank you from me and my friends. Its because of Angela and the Fenix staff that we return. The hotel is perfect for our stay, so close to the beach the main train station the shops and the Bhudda cafe/ restaurant next door with the best pancakes ever. Photos not very clear. So once again hotel Fenix, a big THANK YOU for our lovely stay xxx

Ok let me start positive, staff is friendly and try to fix your issues. Housekeeping good.
But started off wrong. Ended up in a room next to the street with cars, with christmass lighting. I requested another room, which apparently was an enormous hassle. Got a room, where the toilet obviously was broken, room smelled like sewer, and a deep humming sound from a heating system or something.
Requested once again another room, which wasnt available, so i went back to my old room. Didnt sleep wel.
Next day i got an upgrade, to a better room. Still a slight humming sound on the background, but all and all ok room for now.
Not the start i was hoping for.
Than the gym. I specifically searched for a hotel with a gym. The gym consist of a room with amirror, and 2 bikemachines, from which the most
Modern is completely broken and the other one partly broken (straps missing/teared off) Furthermore one set of dumbles of 6kg, and one bench. This is stretching the term gym. Get a proper set of dumbles at least, and fix 1 of your 2 (!) machines.
Location of the hotel is fine. Not a view at the sea unless you go to the most expensive rooms. Prices are very reasonable in comparison to rest.

Gem of a hotel. Fantastic location. 5 mins from restaurants and shops. Staff can't do enough for you. Jose in restaurant always greets you with a smile. Brunch excellent selection as is dinner. Won't hesitate to go back
