Disappointing Service and Hygiene Issues – Not Worth the Hassle
I recently stayed in a premium sea-view room, and while the room and view were fantastic, the overall experience was far from satisfactory due to poor service and cleanliness issues.
### Hygiene & Cleanliness
- The room had COCKROACHES, which was extremely concerning. When I reported it to reception, their response was indifferent.
- Toilets were not cleaned daily, which was shocking. Even upon check-in, the bathroom was not properly cleaned, but I assumed it would be taken care of in the following days—unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. The cleaning staff seemed to do the bare minimum.
### **Tour Services – A Complete Rip-Off**
- I booked a tour to Ronda through the hotel reception, and was told that it is a **guided tour, for €58 per person, cash only!! However, it turned out to be not guided,
and similar tours typically cost **€20-25**. I strongly advise against booking any tours through the hotel.
### **Service & Management**
- We had to extend our stay by **two additional nights** due to a change in plans. Despite multiple requests to stay in the same room to avoid unnecessary packing and moving, we were given another room on the 6th floor.
- Instead of allowing us to **move our luggage directly** via the elevator, we were required to bring everything **down to reception first** and then carry it back up—a completely unnecessary hassle, especially given the hotel's size.
### **Positives**
- The **room itself was great**, and the **sea view was stunning**.
- The **bus stop is right in front of the hotel**, making it easy to travel to **Málaga**.
Overall, while the location and views were excellent, the poor service, lack of cleanliness, and unprofessional attitude of the staff made the stay frustrating. I **would not recommend** this hotel unless significant improvements are made.

First, I want to share the good:
-The staff are excellent.!
-Everything is very clean.
-There is a casino located in the hotel, if you like that kind of thing.
-Complimentary filtered water and coffee available all day.
-The mini bar, empty.
-The views, if you have a higher up room that faces the sea. If you are close to the road, there is a great deal of traffic, noise, and fumes in the morning hours.
Now things that they could improve on:
There is not much ventilation in the bathroom, at least in the suites in the Malaga side. The mirror fogs up very easily because of the lack of ventilation.
The hairdryer is very low quality, again on the Malaga side, not worth it at all.
Soap dispensor bottles do not function well in shower.
The checkout time of 10:30 AM is ridiculous. Way too early!
We went to the gym twice, once we were told we were not allowed to exercise because they had a private class. The other time the two gym monitors were working out all over the gym, and we felt that the hotel gym should be reserved for clients only.
For a four star hotel, they should have decent orange juice served for breakfast. They have something coming out of machine that is not very natural.
Children,, children, everywhere, running, and bumping into people. I think this is a result of them, dealing with tourist agencies and trying to fill up the hotel.
So next time, I will try one of the competing hotels. Once again, a bit sad because the personnel are absolutely wonderful, except for those who work at the gym.

We stayed here at the start of October, the hotel was exceptional. We had a superior double room and could not fault it. The hairdryer wasn’t great but just bring your own. The views were amazing. Beach was close by, pools were cold but that is to be expected in October. All staff were lovely. The entertainment wasn’t great but that is down to personal choice. Food was great always something to eat for everyone in our family. Drinks were great and even was given some shots by the amazing bar staff. Definitely recommend and would return in a heart beat

Will, this is supposed to be a 4-star hotel, i have stayed in a number of 4-star hotels, and this is differently not a 4 star, at a maximum, I would put it at a 3.
If your after a 4 star good hotel then I would recommend elsewhere.
We stayed in a 3 star hotel close by 2 years ago and it was better.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
Edit review after a few days. Sunbeds, no padding and in need of new ones, no towel cards, you can pay for a towel at €10 then it's a €1 everytime you want to change it. The food isn't too bad and the staff are also good. It feels like a previous 3 star self-catering hotel which is trying to do A.I.

Really nice hotel. We had a fabulous room with great sea views. The food was good and plentiful.
The reception area needs a complete re- vamp with new flooring, comfortable seating and a more welcoming atmosphere. It needs to be turned into a comfortable lounge instead of a dentist waiting room.
