The best thing about this hotel is the hardworking staff. From the cleaner who cleaned our room every day and proper cleaning to the kids entertainers with high energy all throughout.
The servers at the dining too were great.
However you can tell the resort itself could do with a little bit of upgrade.
I love that they have so many pools which makes each one less crowded. Kids do have options for pools as well. Very family friendly place

From the minute we arrived, we were looked after so well. This is our second stay at the hotel and we will be back again in July 2025.
The selection of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner was fantastic. Every night was a different theme for dinner.
We particularly enjoyed the oriental and Mexican night. I was able get gluten free fish fingers, breaded chicken, pasta, pizza and chips for my son who is coeliac.
The staff in the restaurant were always polite and super efficient at clearing the tables. My two kids aged 4 and 6 loved the mini club every morning and afternoon. The kids club is very popular with families so ensure you book the slots 2 days in advance to avoid disappointment.
The kids disco every night at 8:30 is a big hit with the kids. Well done to the animation team who always put on a great show. We can’t wait to return in the summer!

Our stay at Gran Castillo Tagoro Family & Fun was absolutely fantastic! The resort is ideal for families, with so much to do for both kids and adults. The kids’ club was a real lifesaver—offering sessions from 11am-1pm and 3pm-5pm each day, it gave us the perfect opportunity to relax in the adults only areas while our little ones were having a blast.
A special shout-out to Isabel from the kids’ entertainment team, who made our daughters, Evie and Isla, feel so welcome and ensured they had so much fun. Also a shout out to Gabriel, a wonderfully friendly and helpful waiter in the main buffet area who always had a smile on his face. The whole team truly went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.
The Merlin room is a great option for families with little ones, the food was delicious with plenty of variety, and the whole atmosphere was relaxed and family-friendly.

Just leaving after a weeks family holiday with 2 children 7 and 6 months old.
Rooms were clean and spacious.
Pools were clean and plentyful. The main family pool was a good temperature but the larger pool by the kids pool was very cold. Kids pool had great slides.
Cinema and play area being refurbished during our stay so we couldn't use them.
Buffet had a great selection of food with a kids seperate area. Particularly liked that there was children's plates and pureed food for babies.
Snack bar handy for kids to eat by the pool.
Animation team were excellent both during the day time at the pool, the kids club and the mini disco. (Only complaint is how loud the mini disco was)
Kids club was good, they made my daughter feel very welcome and had a good variety of activities.
The only negatives we have is the distance to the main beach, there is a small rocky beach outside of the hotel but flamingo beach is a taxi or bus ride with taxis being difficult to get back. Also the Bali beds at the pool area are a bit tatty and could do with some maintenance.
As a whole we loved this hotel and had a great holiday.

We stayed at the hotel for one week, and I can say that everyone can find what they like here. The food was great, lots of options to choose from, evening entertainment was also great, our room was very clean an quiet, the cleaning staff were like fairies or Santa, you never noticed when they came, and the room was always clean and tidy. I highly recommend this hotel, no matter if you prefer to stay the whole day at the hotel, or visit beaches, volcanoes and other sites on the island.
