Location is what makes this hotel. Rooms are very basic, beds are quite uncomfortable. (I paid extra for sea view). No soap to wash your hands in the room, only empty wall containers. All cutlery had to be washed before I could use it. Room cleaned once in 4 days, no bed linin change. Receptionists are lovely. Never sat around the pool, for $3.50 a day for a sunbed, ill sit on the beach for free! Convenient location for shops, bars and restaurants. If you are self catering, it is worth doing a big shop at the main Eroski by Pirates Village.
All that been said, for a short stay (4 days), id probably stay again, but I couldn't do any longer as the beds are so bad.

This is a hard one. Been here twice so I obviously liked it the first time. Rooms are basic but clean. Need to book a sea view or it's definitely not worth considering. On my second visit they are now charging €3.50 for a sunbed, now I'm not adverse to spending money on holiday, but paying for a sunbed at Ur own hotel takes the biscuit. I spent 3 times as much at the beach at the bar and would have done the same at the hotel had they not tried to charge for the beds. Won't be back. Adiós!

We lived in this hotel for three days, but decided to travel around the island and returned again on April 9, 2024, as it was very comfortable. We were met again by the same young, serious, elegant man at the reception desk and did everything to make us stay here and spend four more unforgettable days. Thank you very much for your understanding and support!!!

See photos: parking/studio rooms/location etc. Jury is out on this one…
The staff are amazing - could not do more for us. The lady running the entertainment was just lovely.
The rooms/studios are ok…we went ‘street view self catering’ …see video.
Santa Ponsa is set into a cliff, so the 4th floor of the hotel is the main reception, so any floors below this with a ‘street view’ have a view of the wall.
Sea view is lovely - (if you are above the tree line outside)
Self catering - there are 2 electric hobs, microwave, kettle & toaster. Feeding 5 was a little challenge, but doable. (Just!)
The hotel was clean & the morning team who makeup the rooms each day are lovely.
I was annoyed at being asked for another €3.50 for a sun bed…feel like this would be part of the booking price to be able to sit at their pool for free…
For 5 of us that obviously added nearly €18 per day…
**I would not want to be in Santa Ponsa without a car - it’s not the best part of the island, but does make a great base - however - there is no parking at the hotel.
Street parking only - there are 176 steps up the nearest street parking we found available - see photo.
I would recommend - but only with a car.

I really don't know what some of the people who have stayed here and left bad reviews are on about. I can honestly say, that this hotel is a gem! You couldn't find nicer friendly staff. Always smiling, happy to answer any question you have. The studio apartment we stayed in was fantastic. Beautiful view, get the sea view if you can. Everywhere was spotless, the public areas, the pool, the restaurant. Our room was cleaned every day. Our cleaning lady was lovely,so sorry I didn't get her name. Lovely food in the restaurant, the ceaser salad was amazing. Plenty to do along the strip, plenty of shops, pubs, restaurants only across the road. Public bus stop a few yards up the road. I can't wait to go back again,I'm already looking forward to it. Thankyou globales verdermar xxxx
