I am actually quite surprised that this hotel is rated as highly as it is. We booked it because of its higher ratings and it being so close to the airport, thinking that our experience would match what others have taken time to write. Unfortunately, our experience was far from positive. Starting with our check in, the hotel did not have our reservation. Months earlier, my fiance had moved our stay to one day later, a change that the hotel had confirmed. We ofcourse had proof of this and showed staff the email, but were still told that they couldn’t find our reservation. After 45 minutes of waiting, staff told us that we were “very lucky” to have a room. This was very frustrating to hear as we had been cooperative with staff for an error that wasn’t ours, and having paid / booked correctly on our end, it didn’t feel like we should just “be very lucky”. This error made us late enough to our evening plans that we were unable to go.
When we arrived to our room, we noticed that it had not been fully cleaned. There was hair circling the shower drain and the glasses near the sink had residue on them, showing that they had not been properly washed. The rest of the room appeared fine, but there was initially a slight smell of sewage. Unfortunately , the scent would get stronger as the days went on, and by our final night it was so strong, I didn’t feel good about breathing through my nose. With our check in experience being difficult, we didn’t feel comfortable sharing these concerns with staff and decided that we could put up with it since the price of our stay appeared fair.
Our last concern was the food. Dinner at the hotel was 45 euros with the room package we picked, but no big deal, we could accept that. Maybe it was the night that we chose to dine, but the food was cold and nearly flavorless. We brushed it off as a bad dinner night until the next morning when both my fiance and I woke up feeling sick. Having eaten the same food at the same time and feeling the effects of it when we both woke up led us to believe that something in the food we ate did not sit right with us. This was incredibly unfortunate as we had an 11 hour flight back the same day and felt sick to our stomachs for that day and two days after.
Our review seems to be an outlier …. maybe we just had bad luck ? There are positives to be noted. While we noticed workers here could appear aloof and dismissive, there were also plenty of friendly and helpful staff. The hotel itself is bright, the cost is fair and the location is more than ideal, but unfortunately, it did not work for us. We adored our time in Mallorca but would’ve appreciated a much more comfortable and welcoming experience at this hotel.

We booked Alua Leo because we were only going for a 5 night break and it was close to the airport. We were very impressed with the helpful, friendly staff and the cleanliness of the hotel. We booked a pool view room and were over the moon with the room we received (351) we had a Seaview too. We were bed & breakfast and the choice was brilliant. The Access through the gate at the back of the hotel meant that the seafront was about 100m away. The hotel is also on the main bus route into Palma. We bought quite a few cocktails from the bar and they were lovely and very strong. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very disappointing experience for me. Before booking, the hotel clearly confirmed that we could stay with our child in one room. However, after we arrived, they suddenly changed their stance and forced us to book two separate rooms. This caused a lot of inconvenience and stress, especially while traveling with a baby.
What made it worse was the attitude at the front desk. I honestly do not know how the reception staff gets a good night’s sleep doing this to families. The person at the front desk appeared seemed to enjoy the situation, as if this was routine.
On top of that, the rooms were nowhere close to what was advertised. There photos show a dirty shower area , broken cupboards and a lock that is also broken the sensor works 1 out of 4 swipes. See the video - it’s gross to even touch the handle of the shower area. The condition and overall quality did not match the photos or the description at all. It is hard to believe this is a four star hotel.

Had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect for sightseeing, and the hotel staff made us feel at home. Rooms were clean, spacious, and had all the amenities we needed. I highly recommend it Great views of pool and the sea ( Room 509 ) Definitely would have NO problem staying again 🌞🏖️

This stay did not meet the standards I expect from a Hyatt property. The hotel overall including the rooms, hallways, and common areas appeared poorly maintained and neglected.
I had booked a double room with one bed but was instead assigned a room with two beds. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk, I was informed that I would need to pay an upgrade fee to receive the room type I had originally reserved. Only after expressing my dissatisfaction was I given the correct room type; however, the room provided was in extremely poor condition. The walls were visibly dirty, and the shower was malfunctioning, causing water to leak throughout the bathroom.
I am very disappointed and surprised that a hotel operating under the Hyatt brand would be maintained to such a low standard. This experience fell well below expectations and negatively impacted my stay.
