3 Amigos from Calgary Canada stayed at your wonderful resort late January,2025. The food was actually very good at the Mexican and Italian restaurants. Seafood restaurant was good. The albatross buffet was very good as every lunch and supper had new selections. The buffet variety was quite good and always tasty and served, kept hot. No worries about food preparation , handling at all. The wonderful hosts,hostesses and wait staff were always smiling and seemed to enjoy their work at The Albatross buffet. I appreciated Aline T the most as she always greeted us with a friendly hello, a beautiful smile and served my beverages a.s.a.p.. She is very friendly. Aline often took time to genuinely care and ask about my day. Thank you for your wonderful service Aline. Such a hard worker. The mexican restaurant staff were nice, pleasant and went above and beyond. Thanks Maria J and Elisabeth. Also the Italian restaurant gentlemen servers were very kind and helpful providing great service. The lobby bar staff were very nice,smiling always and enjoyed mixing up tropical drinks for us to enjoy. They provided the same service whether we tipped or not. Thank you all very much. Then there are Regina L and Laura the terrific ambassadors. So nice,enthusiastic and wanted us to feel included and encourage participation. Thank you for encouraging all the guests to feel part of your home at the Occidental Costa Cancun. We had a great time. Would love to return someday. Overall 4.5/5 stars.

I went for my birthday as soon as we got there we were helped and shown to our room It was beautiful and the view was amazing we were surprised by the hammock on the balcony it made it all the more enjoyable, the mini bar is refilled daily and included the snack bar being 24/7 was cool the staff were all very nice we never waited long for anything if at all. The drinks the food all of it delicious and endless. The bathroom was amazing the shower was huge and had a bench to sit if you wanted as well as a drying line for your swim suit.The staff kept the room clean and they made sure we were notified in time for our pick up service. If you can't find something at the snack bar there's a oxo right across the street from the entrance that's 24/7 also. There are pirate ships you can book and take out to party at night that shoot off fire works you can enjoy from your room or the beach if your room doesn't have the view. I rate here an 12 out of 10

Guadalupe, Sandra Cruz and Enrique P. should be commended for their outstanding customer service! While I did NOT enjoy the resort, the service was amazing. Always greeted us with a smile and always made us feel welcomed! The resort itself was not as advertised, photos from their sister property down the street. Additionally, everything was a sales gimmick. I felt like I was at a 90s timeshare seminar. It was not sanitary either; I never once saw a bar cup go through a dishwasher - dipped and rinsed only. There are no straws on the property. The rooms (had multiple) were damp and mildew growth on the ceiling. The “beach” is not - manmade sand deck. But again, the SERVICE staff (food & beverage) was the best!! DO YOUR RESEARCH!

Everything was wonderful. The staff was so wonderful… Henry, Enrique, Miguel, and Mariasol made ordering drinks at the bar so much fun due to their happy, vibrant personalities. And Sandra would wait on us with the brightest smile and got to know us. And Vanilly was the best. He made sure we laughed and smiled while eating at the buffet everyday. The staff deserves a 10 star rating!!! I’ll definitely go again

Just came home from a week vacation. Some of the negative reviews made me a little nervous. It was so unwarranted. The Occidental Costa was beautiful. The room was lovely. The staff was amazing. Alfredo Gill from the Albatros is a wonderful person. He was attentive, friendly and always so pleasant. I would go back just because of him. The beach and pool were great. The entertainment was so fun. I can not give enough praise. My family and I had such a great week. Definitely want to go back. Thank you for the wonderful vacation! Keep up the great work!
