Our family loved our stay at the Catalonia Riviera Maya!
The staff were friendly and welcoming! Hector and Carlos were great! The nightly shows were Amazing!!!
The room was clean and very nice! The grounds were clean and always being maintained. The pools were also cleaned daily.
The food was good and there was enough variety to choose from. The restaurants on site were delicious and using the QR code was easy to book our dinners.
The staff was trying hard to clean up the sargassum on the beach. I recommend booking excursions through the hotel and Absolute Adventures.
It was a great vacation and we are thankful for the time here!

I had a wonderful experience at the hibachi restaurant. Our server, Angel, was attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout the meal. The chef was also fantastic skilled, entertaining, and made the dining experience enjoyable. The food was delicious and well-prepared. Overall, it was a great evening, and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
Hotel Catalonia Riviera Maya – 4/5 Stars
My stay at this resort was overall phenomenal. I would have gladly rated it five stars, but the seaweed was a major issue during my visit. While I understand it’s out of the hotel’s control, it covered most of the beach, making it inaccessible and causing a strong odor that even reached into my room and throughout parts of the hotel.
That aside, everything else was wonderful. I truly appreciated the complimentary room upgrade my room was spotless, and the housekeeping staff went above and beyond by organizing my belongings, which I didn’t expect but greatly valued. The food was delicious, and the service throughout the resort was top-tier. From the front desk to transportation and excursion booking staff, everyone was warm, helpful, and friendly.
Despite the beach issue, I had a great vacation and would still recommend this resort for its service, cleanliness, and hospitality.

Our dining experience at Beloved restaurant in the Catalonia Riviera Maya Resort was pure perfection and a highlight of our trip! We celebrated our twins’ birthday there, and the staff made it an absolutely unforgettable evening with their warmth, attentiveness, and extraordinary efforts.
The food was phenomenal—the steak and lobster were cooked to absolute perfection, with every bite bursting with flavor and presented beautifully. But what truly stole our hearts was the staff’s incredible dedication to making our twins’ birthday so special. Not only did they surprise us with a lively mariachi band serenading our children, but the entire staff came out to sing “Happy Birthday” with genuine enthusiasm, bringing out a delightful dessert adorned with candles. The joy on our children’s faces was priceless!
Every detail was thoughtfully executed, from the seamless service to the personal touches that made us feel like family. The team at Beloved went far beyond our expectations, creating cherished memories we’ll hold onto forever. Thank you for an exceptional evening—we can’t wait to return!

This was my second time being at this resort and it just keeps getting better!! The services, staff, and amenities are all top tier. I enjoyed every meal and was catered to by amazing staff. I truly feel taken care of when I spend my time at this resort. It makes it easy to enjoy a vacation and relax! VIRIDIANA was an amazing server at my favorite restaurant and even helped me celebrate my birthday by bringing out a special breakfast!! Irving and Kevin did so great with the entertainment and I enjoyed getting to have things to do with them throughout the day!! I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone and everyone :)

The morning team at B Loved are amazing. Keila was divine and playful and quite conversational. She made our table extra special and deserves some sort of commendation. Breakfast was amazing.
In the evening, my family and I visited steakville and Alfredo Perez served us. He was extremely patient and very pleasant. He was very professional and did his job effortlessly. Keep up the good job Alfredo and continue being a star!!!!
Today the 9th of June, mi familia y yo visited the Mexican restaurant. Of all the servers that we've met, no one beats the impeccable customer service of Nepthali. What an amazing and very pleasant young man. I think this man should be recognised for being so amazing!!
Guys... If you ever visit Bloved for dinner or breakfast .. You need to count your lucky stars if Marin or Viridiana is your server. So humble, extremely polite and kind. Both were made to interact with people. What incredible human beings!!!
And finally we ended with Japanese. Ivan and Ricardo were so accommodating. Ivan was the server and Ricardo, the chef. The chef was so entertaining while cooking Hibachi style. Extremely pleasant as well. Kudos to the team!
