Been here twice now. Love the hotel and the facilities are perfect for a young family. Decent food options and things to do. A nice 10-15min leisurely walk to the beach. Good facilities nearby with a choice of supermarkets, fuel stations etc. Only downer is that transfers take ages from the airport so we opted for taxis 2nd time around which is about a 50min journey and costs about €100. All together worth it though and us returning twice is good endorsement.

Clean rooms, which are cleaned daily if requested.
Depending on where the room is located, it can be noisy.
Especially because of the evening program.
Fortunately, we were able to change rooms after complaining.
The breakfast is very extensive and there are fresh egg dishes.
There are a few elevators, for the number of rooms there are longer waiting times.
The parking situation at the hotel is inadequate, but you can find parking spots in the side street.
The hotel has its own small Spar supermarket on the premises for drinks and snacks.
The pool area was very nice, although the water was cool at the end of September.
You have a great view from the rooftop.
The service at reception was very dependent on the staff, from friendly and helpful to unfriendly.
For people who like resorts a great recommendation, those who like it more heartwarming should look elsewhere.

Fantastic trip with the family! The room was great, but I recommend asking for a mattress topper for the pull-out bed as it does need it. The staff will gladly bring it to the room and fit it for you. We had a great choice of different food every day, especially in the evenings. The entertainment was excellent, with the added extra of table service. The beach in Can Picafort was about a 10-minute walk away. Also the bus stop is easily located near the Aldi for a short trip to Alcudia Overall, we had a great stay at Tonga Towers and plan to return.

This was a really nice location. The hotel was clean, modern and very well maintained. I found ALL the staff including reception, bar, pool attendants, maid service, and the dining room teams were super attentive, friendly and courteous.
I felt some of the cost cutting was evident in the quality of the cocktails and spirits. But having a named brand beer was great. I would also prefer fresh coffee to be made available in the dining area, rather than the machine dispensed stuff.
In my view there just wasn't enough lounger / beds for the capacity of the hotel, meaning you had to get down and secure your spot for 8-8.15am. I witnessed several beds not used all day sometimes, and there is more space for beds that could be utilised, so this is maybe something the hotel could improve on. We had been concerned on arrival to find our room was adjacent to the lift (we have a light sleeper), but reception staff were helpful and offered to move us, and in any case noise was not an issue at all.
Happily recommend this as a family friendly hotel- also saw lots of couples too. Great views.

WARNING PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING AND WAISTING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!!!!
We booked this holiday with the impression it was a 4-star plus and it was an amazing family holiday from the previous reviews and the pictures. HOWEVER, it couldn’t be further from the truth.
The minute we arrived at Tonga Towers the atmosphere was immediately off. The staff at reception was very rude and barely interacted with us, only one-word answers and their attitude was not welcoming or polite, no one smiled or said hello it’s a dreary feeling throughout the hotel. We turned up and we couldn’t get anything to eat as the restaurant wasn’t open, bearing in mind we got there at 12 (so lunchtime) they never offered us an alternative. There is a snack bar outside but that doesn’t open until 1 like the restaurant (the idea of a snack bar is to have food between the hours when the restaurant is closed). I personally didn’t touch the outside snack bar as the food was covered in flies constantly.
The food in the restaurant consisted of pizza, pasta, and bread. The off day there was potato and some sort of meat however the meat was either overcooked and tough or didn’t seem cooked at all, the same meat was then seen for the next two days in another dish, which just massively put us off.
Three of the nights we’ve had to eat out spending extra money as we couldn’t physically eat the food. The buffet and the snack bar are the only options for food in the restaurant and being a four-star plus we were disappointed that there were no à la cart restaurants like you normally get.
The lifts were quite frankly a joke, to be honest we waited 20 minutes most days just to get to our room (we had a pushchair), and we saw other families with small children and pushchairs resulting in using the stairs. You just couldn’t get in them due to overcrowding.
The pools were absoloutley freezing! Especially the Baby Splash Park. This is one of the main reasons why we booked Tonga Towers in the first place.
Our daughter was in there for no longer than five minutes on the first day and she came out blue, shivering and crying because it was so cold. We then had to use the other big pool for the rest of the week. Even that was cold, it seems slightly better than the Baby pool for some reason.
At the bar We had to queue for half an hour plus for drinks, there was only one or two members of staff on the bar at one time. And then when you reached the bar, you were limited to a two-drink rule. (One drink each) Which was just ridiculous.
The mini disco for the kids started way too late and was literally the same songs and dances nothing was live it was all staged and had no personality. The entertainment team were the nicest and did try their best.
The adult's entertainment was just standard nothing special.
The previous reviews sounded absolutely amazing, but please don’t be fooled. The reviews have previously definitely been fake/paid for because this place is absolutely terrible. Don’t waste your money like we have. First holiday in my life where I have been utterly disappointed with everything!
We don't normally spend as much money on a holiday as we did this one as we really wanted to save and treat ourselves this year, but this has been the worst ever!
We feel like we need another holiday to get over this one! We've just got home and never felt so happy to be away from that place!
