We stayed at AluaSun for just 3 nights as family of four. It was our worst hotel experience ever as we got food poisoning and suffered for few days afterwards. We are 100% sure it was from food consumed at hotel (probably from fried fish eaten at lunch as we noticed it looked a bit raw after already eaten some of it). We have not eaten anywhere else during our entire stay and kids who didn't eat any fish or meat were absolutely fine. We travel a lot and never had food poisoning before even while visiting Asian and African countries. We found that food lets this hotel down as although there is not bad selection, the dishes are poorly cooked, undercooked or overcooked or it's not that tasty.
Staff doesn't seem too friendly apart from entertainment guy who was very nice.
Location is good, just short walk from beautiful beach.
The best thing about this hotel was very comfy beds and nice bedding.
Unfortunately the food poisoning ruined our entire holiday and I would not risk staying at this hotel again.

The hotel it’s very nice ,the food is very good , buffet very good a lot of choices . Stuff is very friendly. It is very clean hotel very nice pool and very clean pool. We are here for second time and we will come back again. I recommended to everyone it’s just perfect. And the most important is safe for people and safe for belongings.

Unfortunately, one of the big bug-bears we had when staying at the AluaSun Continental was the food. Although there were some bright spots (roast pork, for example), meals were usually cold and I couldn't find a microwave to heat my meals up. There is free wine and beer, which is great, but vegetables were usually a bit strange and rarely on their own. Peas came with ham; spinach came with a cream sauce. Carrots were OK. We also had "themed nights" when other types of cuisine were on offer. Best to stick to what you know, I would suggest. Bacon at breakfast was the strangest I have ever eaten; baked, not fried or grilled and its consistency was unlike any bacon I have ever eaten and not to be recommended. Scrambled egg was cold, even when it had come straight from the kitchen. Also, puddings were fruit - which is fine and healthy - and included yoghurts, which are also healthy, but the rest were cakes and other sweet things which tasted of nothing. The (very nice) roast pork had no gravy, which is surely necessary, otherwise it is just dry? Also although chips were always available (and well-made), they also became cold quickly and boiled potatoes were almost never available. In short, the food lets the hotel down and needs to be addressed! Hot-plates should work and didn't seem to. There are plenty of staff who are very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is very clean and well-organised, if somewhat noisy by the pool which plays very loud "music" which was unknown to me (and very unappreciated by me). I didn't know it and didn't like it. I assume it is modern, computer-generated stuff, but as most guests were averaging 50 (or 60)-plus, I think that they would have appreciated some silence!

Amazing entertainment team facilities were spot on honestly can not wait to come back very close to shops and the beach.
The food was really good always something to enjoy but if your super fussy there's a burger King directly opposite the hotel

I have just returned from a week at this hotel. I was apprehensive before I went due to lots of negative reviews that appeared after I had booked. I don’t understand what these bad reviews are about. I had a fantastic holiday and would 100% recommend the hotel. The food selection was brilliant. Lots of choice of vegetarian options, meat and fish at every meal and lots of salads. Plus the usual pizza, chips, burgers and hotdogs sometimes. It did get a bit repetitive after a week but all inclusive always does. Mexican night was great. Every meal there was a delicious paella which I recommend - meat, seafood or veg. Lots of fresh fruit and cakes and ice cream too. Staff were very efficient, always replenishing the food and cleaning tables as quickly as possible. No dress code was enforced at meal times. Some people turned up to evening meal in beach shorts and flip flops and others got dressed up. The all inclusive drinks selection wasn’t as good as I’ve experienced at other hotels, cocktails were from a machine and fruit juice was not very nice but overall the drinks were fine. Self serve soft drinks and coffee in the pool bar and soft drinks, lager and wine in the restaurant. The rooms were pretty basic but clean. Some wear could use a bit of TLC but the pillows and beds were comfy and the walk in showers were great. Balcony was small. Evening entertainment was mainly really good other than bingo on two nights which isn’t for me. Show / singer on 4 nights of the week. The hotel is in a brilliant location 5 mins walk to the beach, and shops / bars. Also 2 mins walk to the bus stop which is convenient to explore other resorts - Alcudia and Can Picafort. There were not many English guests in the hotel and I found other guests generally not very friendly but that’s no reflection on the hotel itself. I would return and recommend to others.
