Furniture is a bit older and worned out, but everything was clean, unfortunately we had a room on first floor - view was not very nice and it was noisy. Parking can be tricky in high season, we were always lucky. The biggest plus of this hotel was breakfast! Absolutely amazing, tasty, big variety of meals..

Although the hotel seems fine at first glance, be careful as the service is way below par. During the first night, this became clear in no time when it turned out that the mattress base was torn, causing the mattress to sag and making sleeping virtually impossible. When we made this known in the morning, we were promised that this would be resolved the same day and the bed base would be replaced. However: at the end of the afternoon nothing appeared to have been arranged and at that moment it turned out that nothing more could be arranged. To be continued... Ultimately, when nothing appeared to have been arranged (the maintenance engineer apparently "forgot") we had no other option the following night than to put the mattresses on the floor to sleep. The next morning, when we were sitting on the balcony early, the hotel door was suddenly opened and quickly closed again when it became clear that we were there. That wasn't very pleasant either! Was there nothing positive to report about the hotel? Yes: the swimming pool on the 4th floor with cocktail bar was nice and cozy and the breakfast in the morning was excellent. The WiFi, on the other hand, barely worked. In short: quite a nice hotel in a nice location, but the less than customer-friendly service largely ruins that.

Lovely hotel would give 100 but no English TV anymore. Up until March 24 all 5 English channels then disappeared. We were given many excuses but no real reason. Went back Sept 24 after emails being told TV would be restored by then again still no English TV. Very disappointed. Have now cancelled xmas stay.

Advantages: Nearest beach was about 10 minutes by feet, Lidl and other groceries were in a close proximity to the aparthotel. The breakfast was really good, especially churros. The air conditioner worked in both rooms. Disadvantages: At first, we supposed to have swimming pool view, but at the beginning we have received beach views on the first floor right above rubbish bins, which had a disgusting smell. We were forced to make an argument with the hotel stuff to get a suitable room. The second, the cleaning was not good enough, towels were not fresh with yellow spots and hols. Cleaning is scheduled 3-4 times a week, depends from season. Cleaning service does not provide any cleaning for cooking tools and dishes. Also the bed sheets were replaced once per three days, which is abnormal in this region with such weather conditions (high temperatures). All this information was available on the paper inside the room, but It was not provided before reservation. The third, sometimes the personal was not friendly and responsible specially when we asked for a towel exchange. At the morning the personal at the reception did not greet us intentionally. We were greeting them but they stayed silent. The fourth, sometimes access cards for room doors did not work properly. We were forced to refresh access card two times and avoid gathering them together with our mobile phones. It was necessary to slightly kick the door to close it. The fifth, there was a huge problem with a parking places. It was very complicated to find parking place close to the hotel, especially on weekends and every day after 8 pm. Do not recommend.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 days. We really enjoyed the room. The kitchen was nice and well equipped. The beds were comfortable, though a bit hard. The rooms were quiet. The pool’s pretty good. The pool bar is okay, not too special. We were very surprised by the quality of the breakfast. There was a big variety of foods and there were plenty of fresh, healthy options. The location was nice. The town’s pretty small, but it’s cute. The neighboring town didn’t have a nice atmosphere, so this was a good choice. Nice to have a car. From here it’s easy to go to Masca, los Gigantes, de Teide, etc!

The hotel was incredible! Our room was spacious, had a beautiful view, was quiet but close enough to the city and to the beach. The pool is also a good place to chill and I think it has one of the best views of Los Gigantes. And cherry on top the staff was very kind and anytime ready to help. Would highly recommend.

Suitable for couples looking for a relaxing holiday. Absolutely spotless hotel with the most amazing views. Very quiet and exclusive which could very well be because we went in late August. All the staff are extremely friendly and very accommodating. Pool is very clean and temperature is well regulated. Food is good and reasonably priced, drinks and cocktails are nice however I feel the spirits are slightly overpriced. Location is a slight issue. The hotel is okay for people who don’t plan on going outside Los Gigantes but for those who want to see Costa Adeje or Las Americas it is a one hour (bumpy) bus journey away from these places and a very pricy taxi too (found that out the hard way). The hotel is situated at the top of a fairly steep hill and being asthmatic was a difficult task, I could see that being a major issue for people with mobility issues. Local taxis are very cheap, therefore it is quite easy to walk down to the local restaurants, bars and shops, stay there for a bit and take a taxi back up. They have live music on Wednesdays and Fridays. Happy hour every day between 4-5. Pool beds are never an issue as there are only 30 rooms and around 40 beds, plus they are staunchly against reserving beds. Rooms are fantastic. They have everything you need for self catering. Beds are comfortable are cleaned thoroughly every day excluding Sundays. Overall a very clean, well run hotel with exceptional views, great staff and some minor location issues.

Lovely hotel, up the hill so be ready for a walk. Hotel has no facilities for late flights and you can only get a room on the day you leave( at a cost). This causes an anxiety which isn’t conducive to ending the holiday in a relaxing manner. Check on line before you try and get the room, they told us they only had 1 room available but were offering 4 rooms on their website.

We can only sing praises for this very well-run and hospitable apartment Hotel. We were here for ten days as a couple in September. And we had a great time. Treat yourself to this diamond experience. Apartment 5 stars Each apartment has a modern sleeping room, bathroom and kitchen plus living room. Plus a fully furnished wide balcony with ravishing view on the sea, harbor and Gigantes rock outcrop. There is a double airco. Staff 5 stars All the staff have professional attitude, friendly and working hard to give you a nice holiday. Cleaning of the room, towels and dishes is done every day. Really clean, everywhere. Pool 4 stars The 1,5 meter deep pool is about 20 metres long, also houses the bar with soft music, and is adjacent to the breakfast restaurant. The view to La Gomera, 30 kilometers away, and sometimes La Palma, over 90 kilometers, is beautiful and always changing. But beware of the slippery pool side when wet. Not many kids when we were there, luckily. The poolside beds are simple but okay. Breakfast 5 stars Excellent choice of tasty food in the small restaurant, most tables with view over the sea. The buffet is ranging from hearty to yoghurt and sweet. Several drinks. Lovely start of the day. Location 5 stars The hotel is in the best part of Los Gigantes in walking distance from the little village that has everything you need. Many restaurants, many souvenir shops and grocery stores. Facilities 5 stars There is a complete library and children playing corner, not used during our stay because of the after season. Also there is a free cloths washing room with washer and dryer. Soap is 1 euro. Reception very helpful with trips etc. Parking 3 stars Parking in the small and steep street next to the hotel is free. We always had a spot. Additional information Whale watching 4 stars The small harbour is home to at least four different companies that leave for whale watching thrice a day. You can choose from a fast rib (cheapest), a semi-electric Eco boat to a motorized sailing vessel. Every morning, afternoon and evening you can see a host of small boats leave in southern direction to watch the resident short finned pilot whales. Or sometimes dolphins and turtles. If you want to see larger whales, you need to go somewhere else. NB. If you book a rental car, do not use the smallest cars with small engines as the roads on Tenerife can be very steep for very long! The combination with airco can slow you down. The comfort of a mid-size engine is worth the extra cost.

Hotel is very nice and clean, with a wounderful pool. The breakfast is very good. Suitable for everyone who is looking for a quiet and peacefull vacation😀.

Stunning location. Clean large bedrooms serviced very well each day with cheerful staff. ALL staff were very helpful, chatty and always smiling. The food was amazing with plenty of choice and all fresh. Facilities such as the swimming pools and entertainment was excellent. The behind the scenes a cooking demonstration tours was very enlightening and we really enjoyed it. Great hotel and lovely people and nothing was too much trouble. Well done 😁👍

We had a few days spare so popped over for a short break. Adults only means it’s quieter than we are used to. Location and hotel are superb with stunning views and service like you’d expect. The area has a few small shops and bars (Irish bar is great). Wouldn’t recommend for teenage children as too quiet but perfect if you just want to chill out. One thing to consider (we didn’t) is the long transfer time, depending on how many drops.

Firstly, we absolutely must commend the staff on making us feel welcome and providing such an efficient and friendly holiday from start to finish. From the reception staff, to the cleaners, everyone was so lovely. We arrived late due to our flight being delayed, and a cold dinner and free alcoholic drink of our choice was provided. The facilities at the hotel are very good, and the food options at breakfast and dinner are varied and delicious. We found the views from our sea view room to be truly spectacular. Evening and day activities are varied and fun. The resort is an excellent choice for couples, but also suitable for all age groups as we noticed a real mix in ages. We had an amazing time and would love to come back again.

Clean rooms and well equipped for all you need. Views are great wherever you are. The staff are very good and do their best. Food is good too, there is plenty of choice and something will suit all tastes. A very relaxing and quiet resort and hotel.

Hotel in a really good location in Los Gigantes. Staff is mainly great and people seem to love what they do. Rooms are quite large and if you are in upper floors views are great. I am giving only 3 stars because rooms need renovations. Everything looks good from far away but when you get near you see that everything is dated (light switches are missing, fake wood panels are peeling off...). Please also note that noise cancellation is not good and you will need earplugs. Another big complaint is breakfast. They seem to have a lot of stuff but many items are made in a big factory. There are good things like fresh fruits and nice bakery items. Their coffee is definitely watered down and juices in jars have nothing to do with fresh stuff. Then there are some strange policies that are not followed. In front of the hotel there are no smoking signs and there are still ashtrays in tables. In the pool area it seems that the majority of good sunbeds are taken even though there is nobody there. Hotel has a policy that towels are removed if nobody is using those sunbeds. This was never enforced. There is a big list of these things. Please talk the talk and walk the walk.

Wonderful hotel, we booked a superior room which was absolutely amazing! Very modern, all embroidered towels and bedding was a really lovely touch. Very comfortable bed, rooms were cleaned every day. Huge balcony with a full sized lounger plus two chairs and a table. The views are outstanding, even more so at night. Excellent transport service to town, very punctual! Breakfast was brilliant, fabulous choice of hot and cold food. Staff were very helpful and courteous......Will definitely book again, would highly recommend, simply the best hotel in chania

"A Perfect Stay Despite the Roadworks" We've just returned from a wonderful week at the Royal Sun Hotel, and honestly, we couldn't be happier! Although there were roadworks on the access road to the hotel, this did not affect our use and enjoyment of the facilities at all. We had an amazing time enjoying the pool, the common areas, and of course, the stunning views from the balcony- Parking at the hotel is limited due to the roadworks, but this wasn't a problem. The staff were extremely kind and arranged a nearby parking spot for us at no extra cost. This attention to detail was much appreciated and made our stay much more convenient. The breakfast was fabulous, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options, perfect to start the day full of energy. Moreover, the staff was excellent throughout, always attentive and eager to help with a smile. Great facilities, and the views, both from the rooms and the common areas, are outstanding. Definitely a highly recommended experience, and we look forward to coming back soon.

Had a lovely family holiday here. Rooms are amazing loads of space biggest balconies I've seen. Views are amazing. Food was lovely my only criticism is lack of kids options for evening meal. Hotel is lovely and clean, staff were very friendly. They were helpful when looking for desserts for my little boy who is lactose free. Had entertainment every night, my kids l9ved the mini disco. Entertainment pool side was great always had something on offer for everyone. We will most certainly be back. The road works going on caused no issues with our holiday. The work men were polite never heard anything in the hotel. They dampened down to limit dust produced. It made road narrow outside hotel but had a path so could walk easily with kids and pram.

Stayed from 11-18 September 2024 for a week. We haven't been on a real vacation for 15 years for various reasons, so this time was very special for us. Had an unforgettable week at Royal Sun Resort, and Tenerife in general. The view of the ocean and the Los Gigantes cliffs is amazing. The staff is hardworking, extremely friendly, and helpful. Manu stood out by a mile. In the evening, he manages the Imperial Bar, recalling your drink preferences, aiming to please everyone, and always finding time for a pleasant chat. Despite the roadworks, it's far enough away to not cause disturbance and in our case, not audible. The workers are friendly and strive to quickly clear the road for you to pass with the car. Hopefully we will be able to come back next year.

This is a wonderful hotel, very spacious well equipped rooms, friendly staff and good food. Yes they are carrying out some building repairs on the road outside, at worst it's awkward when coming and going. No noise, the builder are constantly damping down the area where they are working to minimise dust. Only downside for us are the steep hills, but it's only 5 euros from the harbour and centre. We will definitely be back to the hotel and Los Gigantes...stunning views...we are here on a family holiday it's wonderful, quiet, peaceful but still plenty to do for entertainment.....
