The hotel is really nice. Rooms and general hotel area kept to a high degree of cleanliness. Staff helpful and friendly. Only 2 things let it down. We stayed on a B&B basis so only had breakfast but found this could have been better. Some of the food in the hot buffet was cold/warm. The food containers were not replenished in a timely fashion. The other issue was the free bus into town. Considering the size of the hotel, there should have been multiple buses paid on and more frequent as we never got to use it due to sheer demand. Based on the cleanliness of the hotel and the staff helpfulness and friendliness I would still recommend

I’ve given 3 stars due the food. It was awful. Nothing went with anything. The worst food I’ve ever had in a hotel. The chips and pizza were the only decent food. We were all inclusive but ended up going out most evenings to the restaurants down the hill. The location is good and lovely views. Though Some less mobile people might struggle walking up the hill to hotel. The rooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable. Had great sleep every night. Rooms could have been cleaner. The floor was filthy and wasn’t mopped once during our week long stay. This could be a great hotel if it wasn’t let down by the food.

The hotel grounds are truly beautiful, with plenty of comfortable lounging options for relaxation. The service is excellent, and the staff is very friendly, speaking several languages – it makes you feel welcome right away. There are many activities available, like a great pool and evening program, bike rentals, and a spa, which makes the stay varied and family-friendly. The food is fine, served as a buffet – everything is good, but nothing exceptional. However, the vegan options could be more extensive, or a dedicated veggie section would be appreciated. The rooms are mostly clean, but if you look closely, you might find something to nitpick. A major downside is that the safe costs extra – this should be included in a hotel of this category. If you’re a fan of good coffee or espresso, it’s better to avoid it in-house. Overall, we had a lovely time and would happily come back.

Generally speaking, a nice stay in a nice hotel. The staff are mostly very nice. One member was staggeringly rude and ignorant. We only ever saw and interacted with her once. The food was great and I'm a fussy sod. The only thing I would have liked to seen during meal times was more of a selection of desserts that weren't cold, I have sensitive teeth and can't do cold stuff etc. Rooms were actually quite nice, very quiet and had nice bathrooms. The in room AC was a bit lack luster and constantly put out dust around the room. The lifts felt like a death trap, always rattling, knocking and one of them jumped around quite a lot, we did complain (like others) but nothing happened the whole time we were there. The roof top bar was very nice and peaceful, with a small pool, a bar area, restaurant and large seating and relaxation area. The location was quite good for views and lots of peace and quiet but it was a bit of a trek on pavements that were dodgy to say the least and weirdly had lamp posts stuck right in the middle of them. But... Overall, it was OK.

This hotel is very good, staff are brilliant and the location of the rooms looking towards the sea and the entertainment is incredible. I think this is a perfect hotel for a family and couples. The location is a bit out of the way, not too bad if you’re looking for a quieter holiday. There is a local shopping centre with a few restaurants and the beach isn’t too much of a walk. The lovely reception will happily order a taxi that will arrive in about a few minutes we have never waited more than five minutes. Would definitely recommend. You probably need to buy a lot of taxis depending on what type of holiday you’re looking for. The food is okay, we were only on the breakfast board, the only thing I would improve on in the area is adding hash browns. Would definitely recommend for the price. Also entertainment at night is fabulous, always have great singers on til late. The hotel itself is gorgeous and always very well cleaned, will make sure we share this with our friends and family.

Been to this hotel twice now with my grandson July 2023 and just now December 2024. Absolute great effort made by all the entertainment staff full of enthusiasm and energy. Great family holiday and for a great experience I do recommend getting involved in the games and entertainment it’s great fun and laughter. They do cater for the quieter seen in the adults only part of the hotel. But hey who wants to be an adult when on holiday 🤣 The rooms are spacious and kept clean everyday, the buffet style dinning is your standard stuff! Not great but not bad either!

We have just enjoyed 10 amazing nights at the Abora as a family with 2 children. Everything was fantastic - the room, the pools, the restaurant, the entertainment. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. We loved the good vibes and music throughout the day and evening. We can't wait to come back with our friends! Thank you for a brilliant holiday 😊 We do not agree with negative reviews we have seen, some people just like to find problems with anything! Yes, there could be more shade (maybe some parasols?), but there are trees that provide shade so you can easily move your sunbed if you need to. We managed to find spots that could shade our youngest but still allow me to sunbathe.

We enjoyed great holiday @ Abora to start the year. Besides the weather 🌞🌞. The accommodation was perfect for us. Staff at bar very nice. 👍🏻👍🏻. Rooms good and food also. Specially great compliments to the animation team. They made wonderful shows in the evening and entertained during the day which was great. Many thanks and see you next time

The rooms exceeded our expectations (large and comfortable) and the stay was good value for money. It was good for children as there are two parks, a kids pool and water park. There was only one main bar, often with long queues. The food was generally good although cold - luckily we found a microwave! The in-between meals snacks were disappointing. We enjoyed the free shuttle to the town. The weather in November was perfect.

Simply superb! We've visited Paradisus by Meliá Gran Canaria twice: first shortly after its opening in 2023, and again in November 2024. During our first stay, a few adjustments were still needed, but a year later, the service is flawless! A huge THANK YOU to Marta from Guest Experience for her kindness, smile, and dedication, which made our stay truly special. The quality of the food, room cleanliness, service, and activities for both children and adults were all perfect. We highly recommend Paradisus by Meliá Gran Canaria, and have even decided to return but this time to celebrate our wedding 😊

We stayed at Paradisus for a week for our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived until we left we were treated like royals. The first thing that stood out was the staffs exceptional service and friendly attitude. We were greeted with gifts and they even gave me a bday present since my bday fell same week. They left us notes and called us a few times to make sure we had everything we needed. Our room was amazing and the housekeeping staff cleaned it several times a day. They were super quick and efficient. They made our experience wonderful as well. Then, the spa was the cherry on top. Amazing services and choices and very professional staff. The grounds were always clean and sparkling. No bugs, no pests, no animals except pretty birds. They had elegant landscaping. Good food and waiters, and lots of choices of restaurants and things to do. We also had some excursion experiences included. They get our highest recommendation and if we can ever go back we definitely will book with them again. They helped us have an amazing honeymoon experience we'll never forget.

Great hotel, everything was perfect. The facilities and rooms are modern and very clean. The staff was great. The food was good and plentiful. The big plus was that the beach was right next to the hotel. The hotel is suitable for both adults and families with children. We will definitely come again!

We had the pleasure of staying at Paradisus by Meliá Gran Canaria in Dec 2024 and it truly exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with exceptional service, setting the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Although not an adult only hotel, there are enough adult only areas to access and as it was low season, most children there were baby’s or toddlers The rooms are spacious, modern, and beautifully designed. I stayed in a regular room which was immaculately clean and well-equipped. They clean the room twice a day so on your return from dinner you have clean towels again The hotel offers a variety of dining options that cater to every palate. We enjoyed the A la Carte restaurants, with standout dishes that showcase local ingredients. The buffet restaurant also offers a wide selection of fresh and flavourful meals but I would ask that the chef who cooks steaks there learns the difference between the levels of cooking for steaks, regardless of how we ordered, the steaks were always too rare. The staff at Paradisus by Meliá Gran Canaria are incredibly friendly and attentive and really made our stay very very comfortable and relaxed, nothing was ever too much trouble, whether it was at reception, the restaurants, or the pools, everyone went above and beyond to ensure I felt welcome and well taken care of. I would like to mention in particular Rita & Raquel both restaurant supervisors (give Raquel a fulltime contract) Idaira the receptionist and finally both Alejandro and Jonathon in Ginger Bar Overall, my stay at Paradisus by Meliá Gran Canaria was absolutely wonderful. It offers the perfect blend of relaxation, luxury, and entertainment. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-tier resort experience in Gran Canaria.

We recently returned from our stay at the Paradisus hotel. We had a very enjoyable stay and the staff were all outstandingly friendly but we wanted to send our personal thanks to a couple of people in particular. The stargazing was a delightful experience made extra special by the very knowledgeable and friendly Mario. What a brilliant activity to include. Mario was very friendly and sent me several pictures personally after the event. The wine tasting was also wonderful. We managed to attend twice and enjoyed Diego’s skills and knowledge in wines. We are not surprised he is an award winning sommelier. Melia are very fortunate to have such a star at their disposal. Please make sure you let them both know how much we enjoyed their activities. ( key words for them to know us are Orion Nebula and Quercus respectively) Ps the glass workshop was also very good

I love this place so much!!! My family and I have been coming here for 20+ years now and every time it is always a pleasure to stay at BlueBay. The staff are ALWAYS polite, pleasant and accommodating. The maids are lovely and so friendly. They are forever willing to go the extra mile, I love coming back to the room and it being all fresh and clean. The views are phenomenal. Some of the best sunsets I have seen in my life. Every room in this hotel has a sea view. The grounds are kept and maintained to a high standard and the ground staff are very friendly. The Bar serves amazing cocktails and the staff are welcoming, Especially Angel and Zuso, who have been there since I was a baby. This place really has such a sentimental value to me and my family. Please don’t ever change. So many memories have been made here and we always look forward to booking for the next year as soon as we get back. Thank you for everything each and every year! Hannah

Outside of the ”Hotel” looks amazing with a view to the ocean. When stepping into the room, you will be presented with a bunch of roaches, mould and moisture damage. Furniture from the 80’s. Sofa is dirty and full on cochroach poop. Room hasn’t probably seen a vacuum cleaner in ages. Not a 4 star hotel. Not even one. Had to change to another hotel on NEW YEARS EVE. A big thanks for the experience though, very stressful one.

We stayed for a week and all the staff were absolutely amazing. Every staff member greeted us with smiles. The location was beautiful,our room was cleaned and refreshed every day. Thank you for an amazing stay. Stand out members were Marco and Maria from reception, but the the staff in the restaurant,accommodation and the little supermarket downstairs were all equally amazing.

Lovely big rooms, we stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. The food was good most days with a good variety. Entertainment was not brilliant, but only one person doing it and he did his best. It's a 10 minute walk down to the shops and there aren't many. There are 3 restaurants on the square all very good

To call this hotel a 4 star, is generous. I’m truly disappointed in my/my family’s experience. 2 days before we arrived, we requested to be picked up at the airport by the hotel shuttle services. Upon arrival we had no transportation, they had never confirmed nor replied to our request. We got to the hotel, paid and checked in, the rooms were far from modern, terribly outdated, it smelled moldy (the air vents were covered in it) and I’m asthmatic. The bathroom was not properly cleaned (found the last tenants hair on the shower walls) and Limescale covered the faucets. The AC barely worked, the living room sofa was filthy and there were tears and rips in almost all the fabrics. To a point that we had to request a different room all together. The doors creaked like an old school horror movie. We were limited to one TV channel because everything else was in either Spanish, German or Arabic… Every morning military helicopters did their rounds, shaking up the place with its noise pollution. It seems very much like they are understaffed. Honestly I wish I had more better things to say, the staff were pleasant and patient, love that, and again the views were amazing, but unfortunately I found it difficult to relax and enjoy the stay. A Peaceful Solo Escape at Don Gregory by Dunas I recently stayed at Don Gregory by Dunas for a solo getaway, and it was everything I hoped for. The beachfront location provided stunning ocean views and a calming atmosphere, perfect for relaxation. My room was clean, spacious, and had a balcony where I enjoyed peaceful mornings. The food was excellent, with a variety of fresh and flavorful options. I also loved the serene pool area, which was never overcrowded. The staff were friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome and well cared for. This hotel is ideal for anyone looking for a peaceful, rejuvenating retreat. I’ll definitely return!

Highly recommended. The location is wonderful, the hotel sits right in front of the beach and offers a breathtaking view. The staff is super friendly and nice - we made good friends! I also recommend joining the morning yoga class on the beach! My family and I really enjoyed our time there. We’ll definitely come back!

We spent 11 nights at Don Gregory by Dunas, and while it’s a 4-star hotel, it still could benefit from some renovations here and there, especially in the rooms. When we first arrived, we were a bit disappointed with the room we got. But the staff were super helpful, and they quickly upgraded us to a better room with an all-inclusive package, and that is why we’re giving it 5 stars. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, but Andrew really stood out. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. His positive attitude made a huge difference and made our stay so much more enjoyable. Thanks to Andrew and the whole team, we had an amazing stay, and we highly recommend this hotel!

Stayed at the Don Gregory for 4 nights. Rooms were dated and the shower and toilet were in glass cubicles and just curtained off in the room. I didn’t like the idea of this and prefer a private bathroom. The showers leaked on the floor making it dangerous. I had to move rooms a few times due to the water leaking and in the first room the view was of a male lying on his sun-bed in a rather unflattering position by the side of our balcony (we were on the lower ground floor). I didn’t fancy waking up to that every morning! The room was also by a public footpath on the front by the beach; this was okay until people walked past the balcony or congregated at night until the wee hours of the morning. It felt very exposed with no privacy and noisy at night. There was only one English TV news channel and when I asked why the channels catered more for other European languages, I was informed it was due to the package deal agreed by the hotel. Not a major issue but it would have been nice to watch a film late at night in English. On a positive note the female receptionist was very helpful as was the customer relations lady. They were both very helpful in trying to resolve the room issues. The food was outstanding and the dining area staff were fantastic. The hotel is just by the beach and has good shopping facilities nearby. Unfortunately, the day I was due to leave I noticed a new box of perfume had gone missing from my case which was in my room. Thankfully, I placed my other valuables in the safe before I departed from the room. I didn’t report the matter as I thought it would turn up, however sadly it didn’t. I would encourage anyone staying at the hotel to place valuables in their safe at all times. I did email the hotel about this but received no response.
