We’ve stayed at several hotels from this chain, and each time we’ve been thoroughly impressed. What sets these hotels apart is the exceptional quality of the food and drinks. There are virtually no queues at the bars, as waiters bring drinks directly to your table, sun loungers by the pool, or anywhere you wish.
The hotel’s aesthetics are truly remarkable. Every bar, reception area, pathway between buildings – every corner of this place is a feast for the eyes. It is beautifully designed, and even the drink selection by the pool is outstanding.
We spent two weeks here with our children, and we’re absolutely thrilled. The only downside we noticed is the main pool – while it’s large, it’s also very deep (2.5 m). At 168 cm tall, I lost footing as soon as I entered the water.
If you’re planning to stay at this hotel, we highly recommend booking a room with a pool, preferably one with a sea view and a shared infinity pool. This is important because many rooms with shared pools are shaded for most of the day.

Best hotel for your summer vacation. Very nice rooms, stylish design of the whole hotel. Beautiful beach and a ton of options for food. This was a very enjoyable holiday thanks to the brilliant team in the hotel.
The staff and customer service helped us with our requests. Themed restaurants were delicious, and eating your breakfast by the sea is a vacation within a vacation. Great shows and entertainment.
The sunset is amazing. Stunning. Simply stunning.
The only disappointment were the photo team ladies, who on our last evening constantly jumped in the pictures and almost tried to push us out so they could take pictures for their clients. This was rude and unexpected. Especially since all other staff were extremely nice and careful.
Rooms were nice and spacious, clean and well maintained.
Overall, very very nice. Can only recommend.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Mitsis Rinela Hotel & Spa! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, offering all the comforts we needed as a family. The facilities were top-notch, and the kids loved the pools and the beach.
Speaking of the beach—it was simply stunning! The soft sand and crystal-clear water made it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunshine. The proximity of the beach to the hotel was very convenient, allowing us to easily move between the pool and the sea. It was an ideal spot for both swimming and lounging.
One of the highlights was the incredible food—so many delicious options, and something for everyone, even the picky eaters in our family. The spa experience was a relaxing retreat for the adults, while the entertainment kept the whole family engaged.
The staff were exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. It’s rare to find such a well-rounded experience where everything from the service to the amenities exceeded our expectations.
We highly recommend Mitsis Rinela Hotel & Spa for anyone looking for a perfect blend of relaxation, luxury, and family fun. We can’t wait to return!

The hotel itself is very clean, modern, and set in a beautiful location. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made us feel very welcome.
However, the food was rather disappointing, which had a real impact on our stay given it's an all-inclusive. The concept of multiple themed restaurants is great in theory, but the quality lacked – particularly in the main buffet restaurant. Fewer, higher-quality options would be a major improvement. We liked the pizza restaurant and the Greek Taverna.. but everything else was very sub-par and not what would be expected from a 5-star hotel.
We were also let down by the size of our room. Booking through a BA sale, we felt our section was designed for discounted rates, as our room was incredibly cramped. With two adults, a toddler, luggage, and a portacot, we had almost no space to move around (not an exaggeration). Reception offered an alternative, but at an additional £700, it wasn’t an option for us.
Finally, while the beach is naturally beautiful, it wasn’t well maintained. There was plastic near the shoreline, litter in the sand, and cigarette butts scattered around, which was unpleasant and unsafe, especially for families with young children.

Mitsis Rinela Resort & Village in Crete offers a perfect blend of luxury, relaxation, and fun. The location, right by a beautiful beach, is ideal for both relaxation and exploration. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-appointed, with stunning sea views.
The food is outstanding, with a wide variety of fresh, delicious options at the buffet and themed restaurants. The service is top-notch; the staff is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel truly welcome.
The resort features excellent facilities, including multiple pools, a fitness center, a spa, and plenty of activities for all ages. The entertainment is fun and engaging, ensuring there’s always something to enjoy.
Overall, Mitsis Rinela offers a fantastic experience for anyone looking to unwind or explore Crete. Highly recommended!
