I booked an experience with Vilas tennis academy and stayed at Fergus Style Palmanova hotel as was recommended at their web-site from 30.03 -> 4.04.2025. And I must say the hotel itself was fantastic. The facilities were great, the staff was friendly, and the overall atmosphere made my stay very enjoyable. The rooms were comfortable, the food was great, and the location was perfect. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay.
However, my experience with the Vilas Tennis Academy, which is associated with the hotel, was extremely disappointing. On the final day of my 4-day training program (4th of April), I was assigned to Coach Christian (one of the main coaches and the owner?). During a training exercise, I politely asked him to place the balls closer, as I struggled to reach them. His reaction was shocking — he threw his racket and started yelling at me, saying that only he had the right to speak on court and that I had no right to make any suggestions. I felt deeply uncomfortable and humiliated.
After this, I calmly asked to switch to another group for the second hour of training, as had been allowed on previous days. Coach Christian aggressively followed me, prevented me from joining any other sessions, and confronted me in a hostile manner. As a result, I was completely denied the second hour of training I had paid for.
I attempted to resolve the situation with the reception, but was told they couldn’t help, as only Coach Christian had the authority to decide who could get refund. I then spoke to another head coach, who acknowledged the issue and promised a refund if I sent an email.
I followed up via email several times as requested. I NEVER GOT A REPLY OR A REFUND.
While the hotel itself was outstanding, the experience with the tennis academy was highly unprofessional and left a negative impact on my otherwise enjoyable trip. I hope the academy takes this feedback seriously and improves its service.

Hotel was absolutely perfect, across the road from a beautiful beach, shops & restaurants 2 minutes walk.
Hotel spotlessly clean, staff couldn’t do more to help.
Food was ok but not a great choice if fish lover and desserts were not anything special.
Hotel really needs to put some handrails in by steps, not a single handrail throughout the hotel, which was quite bad for anyone with mobility issues. Walk in shower could also do with a handrail as again anyone with mobility issues would find it quite scary about slipping.
Would 100% recommend the hotel and will definitely be coming back..

Never been a big one for reviews but we had a fantastic week at the hotel. Spotlessly clean with fantastic location on the seafront. The staff for us are what made our stay that much more enjoyable. From reception, cleaning, and particularly the restaurant/bar/kitchen staff who were all super hard working, friendly and helpful. Can't thank you all enough.🙏 Hotel is nice and small so plenty of space around the pool and we also used the private sauna/plunge pool (great touch). If you are looking for a clean, friendly yet quiet and relaxed, well appointed hotel with delicious buffet style meals (variety etc) with a fab location in Palmanova then we would highly recommend!

Our family had a fantastic 10 day holiday at the end of September 2024.
We have 2 girls - 3yr old and 4yr old who fell in love with Bob and Lucy. Entertainment, staff on reception and throughout hotel were ver helpful and friendly. We had a problem with our aircon and our room was changed immediately. Food was to a very high standard and the hotel is in a peaceful location with beautiful sunsets.
Booked to go back this year. 😍

What an fantastic hotel so friendly and relaxed staff great location amazing breakfast and evening meal menu.
Good Sauna and pools .
I will definitely be making a return visit.
Palma Nova can be very relaxed in January just the way I like it, obviously the Sea temperature is cold and Sunbathing hours are short but the relaxing atmosphere makes up for it, you won't have to qué for anything and plenty of cafes restaurants are still open it's a perfect resort to relax.
Obviously if you are after lively nightlife this isn't good for you in January.
