This is my favorite hotel I've EVER stayed in. The rooms are subtly themed, we got a balcony that overlooked the magic Kingdom and could watch fireworks in the evenings if we weren't down in the park. The service is amazing from bellhops to just people in the quick little fast service food court. Walking distance to the magic Kingdom with our own security is amazing in the morning for rope dropping. And taking the monorail back from the magic Kingdom and being the first stop is pretty neat. The monorail obviously will take you other places as well, the Floridian and the Polynesian are on the monorail resort loop and it makes it very convenient for resort hopping. Two really good restaurants are part of this hotel and the hamburger at steakhouse 71 is worth just visiting the contemporary resort, but staying here is even better. There is a monorail that goes through the hotel! It is so fun and so chic and you feel super lucky to be staying there and the giant mural is everything. I hope I get to stay here again sometime. If I had to say any form of negative, it might be that you need to stay a very long time (which would be crazy expensive) in order to accomplish everything this place has to offer.

Ate at the steakhouse here, didn't stay in the rooms.
Steakhouse was pretty good, not as flavorful as I would of expected. This is a kinda medium tier steakhouse in my opinion with the prices reflecting that in comparison to the high end of steakhouses. Steak was cooked perfect, salsa Verde somehow how no flavor or heat. Mac n cheese was good but not Chick-fil-A good. Atmosphere and service with what you'd expect from Disney. Finally, the 15 layer cake, yes, 15 was pretty epic and delicious 😋. I'd definitely come back again.

Top notch customer service. I let them know at 1 p.m. that the shower was not draining quickly. I specifically said it wasn't a big deal, but they had it fixed the same day before we returned at 5 p.m.
That's one small operational example. In addition, the entire staff has been helpful and sweet in every interaction.
They write business books about how Disney teaches their "cast members" to put the customer 1st, and it shows at the Contemporary Resort, as well as throughout all the parks.
Beautiful view of the sunset, clear view of Cinderella's castle, Space Mountain, and the Tron ride from around room 4630 in the main Contemporary building.
Also attaching a photo of the floor directory from the elevator, which shows many of the services available in the building.

Wasn't a fan! No glassware, real coffee cups, silverware, wine bottle opener in the rooms, nor bathrobes or slippers. Location is great, monorail is a plus- Although you feel it rocking your room and the bed.. The view was great for the fireworks.
The entire place was very clean, beds & pillows were comfortable. The deepest area of the pools are only 3 feet which was odd. They had 3 lifeguards on staff during pool hours.. The onsite sit down restaurant has an excellent breakfast from the menu. The grab/go or poolside restaurants were good but basic.
For $600+ a night you should be able to have proper glassware, mugs, silverware, robes/slippers & at least complimentary welcome water and there was no poolside service to your chairs.
I will not be staying here again because they cannot have proper amenities within the rooms or service to the poolside loungers. There are better hotels with more amenities for far less cost.

Pros:
Convenient location, clean modern and spacious rooms, shops are nice.
Cons:
No mid-price dining options, and affordable choices have the ambiance of a mall food court which I did not enjoy. I think it’s a shame there isn’t more of a Disney theme given the proximity to Magic Kingdom. Overall the lack of atmosphere for kids and the restaurants did not make up for the proximity, so next time I’d stay at another monorail resort or even Animal Kingdom Lodge instead for a more interesting space.
