The hotel isn’t bad, but there’s definitely room for improvement. First off, there’s no à la carte restaurant, just a buffet, and the meal times don’t always align with your plans on the island. For example, lunch ends at 2:30 PM, and just before that, the waitstaff literally starts pressuring you to leave. Some are friendlier than others, but I had one waitress who was particularly pushy and far from polite. After lunch ends, the restaurant doesn’t reopen until 6:30 PM, closing again at 9:30 PM. So, if you arrive back at the hotel around 2:30 PM, you’re out of luck for lunch, and there aren’t any nearby places to grab food. The only options are snacks like burgers and hot dogs, but even the snack bar closes at 6:00 PM.
The rooms don’t have minibars, and there are vending machines that only take coins, which often don’t work. I stayed on the seventh floor for over a week, and the machine on that floor never worked. I reported it several times, but no one fixed it, even though the issue was just a blocked coin—an easy fix. The machines on the lower floors accepted coins but didn’t dispense anything. The only ones that worked were by the reception, meaning if you get thirsty in the middle of the night and don’t have water, you’ll have to go all the way down to the reception to use the machines.
As for pool towels, you can’t borrow them—you have to rent them. But you can’t rent them by the day; you’re charged for your entire stay. I stayed for over a week and only used the pool twice, but they wouldn’t let me rent a towel for just those two days—I had to pay for the whole week.
Room service doesn’t exist, so forget about ordering food to your room. And after 9:30 PM, there’s absolutely nothing to eat. If, like me, you prefer late dinners, well, tough luck.
The best part of the hotel is definitely the front desk staff—they were incredibly friendly.
The rooms are decent, but if you book a room with an ocean view, be aware that the view is mostly blocked by trees.
The pool isn’t heated, and when I visited at the end of September, the water was so cold it was almost impossible to swim. In fact, very few people were even trying.
Overall, it’s a hotel that could really improve the guest experience.
On a positive note, they were super accommodating and got me into my room incredibly fast. I arrived at 11 AM, even though check-in is usually at 3 PM, and by 11:30 AM, I was already settled in my room.

Family stay 2 adults, 1 children, 7 night.
My family and I love Majorca. We come back every year. This time, we decided to try a different location on the island. After reading reviews, we decided to choose the BQ hotel. After staying at this four-star hotel, we had a mixed experience. Below are the pros and cons I encountered during my stay:
PROS. Air conditioner, mini fridge, daily room cleaning and towel changes, large balcony, nice bathroom with newly installed shower, free bus service, large pool area, plenty of sun beds. Small shop inside the hotel. Fresh food.
Cons:
• Rude Staff: Unfortunately, I encountered several staff members who were unhelpful and even rude, which detracted from the overall experience. Only a few staff members understood English, which made it very difficult to communicate, especially at the restaurant or bar. Even when we tried to explain what we needed, they ignored us.
• Long Waits at the Bar: The bar service was notably slow, with long waits for drinks, especially during peak hours. This was frustrating and made it difficult to enjoy a relaxing time at the pool. At an all-inclusive option, I don't think I should have to wait 20 minutes for a glass of tap water. (They only give tap water if you want sparkling; they use a machine.) The range of drinks at the bar was also very poor. The hotel does not have self-service for soft cold or hot drinks.
• In-Room Issues: The room itself, while clean, smaller than normal family room. Also, on the day we arrived, I found many ants in the bathroom. I notified the reception, and they promised to send someone to clean it. When we returned to the room, I inspected it more thoroughly and found some dead bugs under the mattresses (they didn’t look like bed bugs, but they were still concerning) and many dead ants in the corners. As I understood it, the room service used some spray to kill the ants. I asked them to change my room, and they wanted to charge me £20 because I requested a room change. I was very surprised by the answer, as if these bugs were not bed bugs—and sometimes, yes, they can have cockroach and moth infestations—but it is not so dangerous. This explanation left me speechless. After 40 minutes, they decided to change my room.
• Restaurant facilities.
With all-inclusive, we have 3 meals, bar, and bar snacks access. Drinks are not self-service for lunch and dinner . Just for breakfast, they give access to the coffee and juice machine. Also, water is just from the tap, which has a very strong smell of chlorine.
Not too much diversity in food, fruits, or vegetables, but it is fresh, which is very important. So I think it is more challenging for people with special dietary or allergy requests. Some days they do not display labels on the food. Repetitive food.
The day before we were leaving, someone from the staff who had access to our room stole £60 cash from my hotel room. The money was in a small wallet on the table, just some extra cash that I had left outside of the safe. The staff at the reception didn't seem to care much and just said they would report it to management. This is complete ignorance. They could easily check the cameras and see who from the staff came into my room, but they don't want to do it until the manager decides whether or not to conduct an investigation.
Overall, the hotel has great potential with its impressive facilities and location, but the service issues need to be addressed to truly meet the 4-star standard. As I mentioned they have and some positive things but definitely my family will not back again. Thank you for the experience

For the price and what is included on all inclusive can’t complain. First hotel we stayed in where children can choose ice lollies / milkshakes on all inclusive.
However, the hotel could be cleaner generally. The children’s entertainment was the exact same routine and songs every single night, not even a mix up of songs. Check in not til 3pm, arrived at 1pm.
Staff very nice, close to airport, Modern hotel and Variety of food for all.
Would return if a good deal could be found.

So the pool would be nice but it felt like the whole day only super loud music. You come on holiday to relax but the music is so loud that you can't relax. A disaster with a child. If you want to be without music only place in front of the hotel where the buses arrive. Turn the music on for the entertainment but not all day. (Between 1 and 3 pm it is at least quiet). Everyone who wants to listen to music has their headphones with them, so it's not necessary to turn the music up so incredibly loud.
Food is good, different each evening, good quality. Drinks are awful and the water tastes disgusting. Service is OK but employees do not seem to be happy.
Room are very small. Air-conditioning loud. Baby bed very old and the baby can not lay good. Wanted to change room after first night as it was very noisy. We were charged 20 euro for changing. Explained that it costs extra due to cleaning the room. Sorry but never heard sth like this. This is no service for 4 star hotel.
Round the hotel nothing to go for a walk only down the hill and the hill is more like a mountain.

No way is this a 4 star hotel.
The rooms are very basic, and felt like Ibis budget rooms in terms of furnishings. The air conditioning was very noisy. The room was clean on the surface, but a lot of dust when you looked a little closer.
The food was 'ok' (the pizza was very good, to be fair) and the restaurant staff were again 'ok' no more than that. Also with the hotel not at capacity, they shut half the restaurant off so you couldn't really spread out. It felt a bit like the self-service on a ferry.
There was nothing wrong with my stay, but I had higher expectations for a 4 star hotel and the price I paid (100 euros for breakfast and evening meal).
The location is out of Palma which was ideal for me, but should be a consideration before booking.
If I went back to Palma, I'd be giving this hotel a miss though; I'm sure I can get better value within my budget.
