Lovely hotel - bit of the beaten track so only the hotel facilities available. That said they are wonderful- a main restaurant and gourmet ones too on site, we had a shared pool room on the seafront so this gives you some extra dining options in your week. Quieter part of the hotel nearer the sea front.

You want a holiday in Crete all inclusive you must give this place a try. Food is excellent service is good. Night time entertainment it was OK. The beer was flowing. The beech 2min walk from the apartment. To get onto town 10 euros

Our initial rooms, one was great, the other poor. We were upgraded to a villa, perfect. Rooms are a little tired, views can be epic. Restaurants, the main buffet, awful in my view, like a Butlins canteen for us. Food not great. A la carte great if you pay extra. Most items pre frozen. Bar staff very rude in the beach bar, making comments to us and other tourists, seems one guy in particular, wait staff pleasant, especially a la carte and Italian. Canteen feels rushed. Evening entertainment so so. Feels mixed, not a 5 star for us, more 3 plus. Beautiful views. Guest relations and reception staff very nice and professional, car hire guy seems stressed to me. Some tourists a bit chavy, drinkers, most nice. Fine for a beach holiday, not much else to do. And huge hills. Not a mobility place.

Dear Aldemar Knossos Villas, thank you for welcoming us for the fourth time in the same Knossos Maisonette :)). Pasiphae 11 forever. As always, we thank you for the hospitality, for the exceptional services you offer, we feel like at home, we practically developed some incredible friendships starting with the lady who clears the tables, the waitress, up to the chefs (who prepared an incredible surprise party for my birthday), in charge of public relations (who became one of my best friends, Kateryna Asofieva), general manager Elena Kapsokefalou (thanks to this woman this huge resort runs like an army, and I want to thank her for her welcome and friendship), Vasilis Daskalakis one of the head chefs, an exceptional man who made all my food cravings, George Chatzopoulos - the best lamb roast of our life, Daisy the bartender at Milos - the the most cheerful and positive being I've met (thanks for everything), Maria, Ioanna, Georgia, Nikki, from Fontana Amorosa, Stavros (2 Pac), Rafail (Freddy Mercury), Alex (Jackie Chan) the best waiters and our new friends. I'm sorry if I forgot someone. I stayed this time for 14 days, and as the hotel knows me very well, I extended my vacation by another 3 days :)). my dears, let's see each other again in August for another 15 fabulous days! Everything fabulous. Room is great with view straight out on to our large private sharing pool (maximum 8 rooms sharing) and the sea just beyond. Food is buffet style in the main restaurant and is excellent. There are themed nights eg Greek, Asian, Italian and there is always a fantastic varied selection of starters, mains and desserts. There are also lots of other bars and restaurants on site plus room service if required and a mini market, jewellers and hairdress too. Staff are very friendly and helpful particularly Stella and Odyssea who deserve a special mention for the exceptional service they provided for us. Nearby outside the main gate are a bar/restaurant and a large supermarket. Hersonnissos is around a 45 minute walk from the hotel which I walked once but there was just the usual shops and bars etc and nothing special in there to make me want to return. During our time here, we had the great pleasure of standing on our balcony and watching a beautiful beachside wedding take place - a very romantic setting. I'd definitely return here to a villa room in future. Highly rated hotel with exceptional staff, service and accommodation.
