We had an amazing stay! The staff were friendly and professional, always ready to help. Our room had a stunning view of the sea, and the short walk to the clean, pebbled beach was lovely.
The beach bar was a great spot to relax, and the food at the hotel was exceptional – plenty of options, fresh, and delicious.
The pools were spacious, clean, and perfect for unwinding. This hotel is a fantastic choice for a Greek getaway – we’ll definitely return!

A Busy Yet Enjoyable Stay at Akti Imperial Deluxe Resort & Spa
We stayed at the Akti Imperial Deluxe Resort & Spa in July as part of a large group of 20+ friends and family, and this spacious beachfront hotel suited our needs well. The weather was gorgeous, so we spent most of our time by the pool and beach area, which were fantastic.
We initially upgraded our room, but upon arrival, the air conditioning didn’t work. While the hotel promptly moved us to another room, we were given a standard room and lost all the privileges of the upgrade, such as fruit platters and robes. While this was disappointing, I was thankful to have working air conditioning during such a hot time of year. The room itself was adequate for two people but would likely be a tight fit for a larger family due to limited storage space.
Unfortunately, one major downside of our stay was when my friend accidentally trapped her fingers in a sunbed by the pool. The first aid response was completely inadequate—they only gave her a plaster and were quite dismissive. She had to go to the hospital, where it was confirmed her fingers were broken, and required stitches. This was a very upsetting experience, and the staff's rude attitude in handling the situation was extremely disappointing.
Despite this incident, the rest of our stay went smoothly. The food was typical of an all-inclusive resort—plenty of variety but nothing outstanding, though I particularly enjoyed the gyros available at the pool bar during lunchtime. It was a nice touch that you could pour your own wine and beer, avoiding long queues. The waiters and bar staff were fantastic, especially in accommodating our large group. Most evenings, we opted for the rooftop bar rather than the evening entertainment, which was decent but not a highlight for us.
The location of the hotel was excellent, with nearby beachfront restaurants and walkable areas to explore. While I’m not a huge fan of large hotels, this one served its purpose well for our group. Overall, we had a fabulous holiday, though the lack of proper first aid and how the situation was handled left a sour note. Rhodes is a beautiful destination, and I always enjoy visiting Greece!

I was on a 2 week vacation with my girlfriend on mid October until the end of month. On our first day we were shocked and confused by the enormous size of this hotel. We literally struggled to find some places and just walked around hotel to find all the places. During our stay we visited entire island and nearby vicinity so we didn't stay there the entire time. Still we spend a few days entirely at the hotel and took part in all of the daily activities. The animation team itself deserves a huge respect for their work. They keep this hotel very alive during the day and each night. The pool is huge and can be accessed by kids and adults. The beach is quite bit and pretty close to the hotel, yet it has rocks instead of sand. The hotel offers a lot of sports and even some classes. We took part in tennis classes which were really good. Each night had a different star on the stage so we were amazed that this hotel invested so much in entertainment. Bar has a variety of drinks as mentioned before and has a table service so you can sit back and relax and you'll get your drinks. I definitely recommend this hotel and the only con that I can remind myself of is that the beach has a lot of rocks which isn't too comfortable. Other than that hotel is perfect and feels like paradise.

We spent 11 nights at this hotel, all inclusive.
The rooms were lovely, a fully stocked mini bar with lemonade, water, wine and beer FOC!
The main buffet restaurant was substantial with something for everyone. The wine was dubious with some bottles being good and others having an odd twang. We suspected these were refilled with the wine available on top at the adults pool bar.
The Italian restaurant was great, small dishes, well seasoned, tasty offering different food to the buffet.
The Chinese I would not return to, basically the same as the main restaurant offerings but more bland.
The two pool bars were great with pizza, gyros, burgers and other small selection of food offered throughout the day. Good selection of cocktails at the pool bars and main bar.
Overall a good hotel, attentive staff and would definitely return.

First and foremost, we would like to praise the staff. Everyone was extremely kind, helpful and we have never experienced such warmth towards children. Every staff member smiled at and entertained our child, which made a big difference to our stay. However, when it comes to the hotel itself, we were not as satisfied.
The biggest issue was with the rooms. The mattresses were very uncomfortable (one double bed consisted of two separate mattresses), and they were severely worn out. The mattresses kept sliding apart, leaving a gap in the middle. Since we sleep with our child in the same bed, this was a real problem, as one of us would always end up sleeping in that gap. Another issue was the soundproofing—or lack thereof. The doors to the room were so poorly insulated that every guest passing by sounded as if the door was open. Light from the hallway also shone through the gap under the door at night, so we had to place a towel there to make the room darker. Additionally, there was noise from outside, likely from the pool machinery, which forced us to keep the windows shut while sleeping. We tried to change the room but it did not help, still the same problems..
The room overall felt of poor quality. Given that this is a 5-star hotel and not a cheap one, we expected much better. Even the lighting in the hotel gave a cold, unwelcoming atmosphere, making it feel cheap. The elevators were also undersized, which was an issue with a stroller—we sometimes had to wait up to 5 minutes before we could get inside.
As for the food, it wasn’t bad, but we would have appreciated more variety. The breakfast menu was exactly the same every day for the entire week, which got a bit repetitive. Our vacation was also quite ruined by the fact that both my husband and I were likely food poisoned. My husband got sick around day 3, and I started feeling unwell on day 5. After dinner, I was vomiting almost the entire night. And imagine having to take care of a small, breastfed baby at the same time.
One positive aspect was the children’s play room, but it would be great if it were accessible throughout the whole day (or at least part of it). It was difficult to fit our time into the two-hour slots in the morning and afternoon, especially with a small child.
Lastly, the hotel’s location wasn’t ideal. There isn’t much around the area, and if you plan to take the bus, be prepared to wait for a long time as buses don’t run at regular intervals.
Overall we do not recommend the hotel and would not return here again.
