Just had a great week here with my grandchildren and 4 adults. The hotel was so clean, food great with loads of variety and children catered for. Hotel was fully booked but it never felt like there were too many people and no problem getting a sun lounger at either pool or the beach.
Had a trip into kos town which is beautiful, bus stop 5 minutes walk from the hotel and cost 20 euros for 6 of us.
Lovely mix of nationalities and lots of friendly chats in the hotel. Entertainment team are so very friendly and the aqua gym each morning was great.
All inclusive drinks are everything we needed and the constant supply of ice cream for the children was amazing.
The sun rises and sunsets are also beautiful 😍
Would recommend for a great family holiday .

This is not a 4 star hotel, 3 would be a more suitable rating.
We came end of season and there was a lack of effort by a lot of staff.
Room air-conditioning was noisy, the room flooded if you have a shower for more than 45 seconds and the safe was locked when we arrived. All issues were reported but aside from the safe nothing was done. The gym had broken equipment. This was reported but looking back at reviews the same issues were true back in Sept.
The location just about made up for the hotel. Gorgeous beach for miles, sun is glorious.
Oh and the pools are freezing cold 🥶

Very nice hotel, people working there were very nice and friendly. There were not many attractions nearby, but there was not really any need for them, because every night there was some event happening at the hotel at one bar. If you didn't want to participate you could go to the second bar near the beach which was really quite and nice to talk.

Simple clean and friendly service which you'd come to expect from greek hospitality.
Feel like it's a star rating too high but couldn't complain although the food was typical all inclusive which towards the end of the 1st week started to get quite repetitive and in some instances was quiet poor (over done)
The choice, however, of fruit, puddings and fresh continental selections was good.
2 pools one near the main complex and one near to the beach which we preferred and offered a very simple but tasty lunch time menu. The top pool is OK a bit cramped but close to the splash fountains for the kids.
Drinks are as expected, weak and none-brand spec, which didn't taste nice but still palatable.
Beach had beds and umbrellas, sandy with a bit of shingle but is shallow for a fair way so good for paddling.
Location wise there's not a lot to do outside of complex apart from a couple of bars and a cracking restaurant Namaste next door - the best sunsets and food 👌

We spent a week at Smy Princess of Kos Hotel with kids. It was a wonderful time. Hotel area is quite big with 2 pools, kids splash area and hotel private beach. It’s a plus because you won’t feel how many guest are at hotel, some spend time at beach, some at wonderful infinity pool, and some at main pool with kids. Hotel is just like 10-15 min for the airport so that's a big plus if you have kids.
The room we stayed in had a great view at sea and we could see a sunset everyday. Room was very clean and neat. Everything worked and there were no problems with AC. Room was cleaned everyday, 1 bottle of water was given to us every day. I recommend taking with you something for mosquitoes, they can be very irritating during nights.
Hotel beach is a great place to spend time. Sunbeds are free of charge and it’s rare for Greece. From room to beach we had like 100m. Water is very clean (when there are no waves). Sand is wonderful so kids have a lot of fun. Sunbeds are cleaned everyday, and at any time of day you can find at least a dozen free so you don’t have to get up early. What shocked me was not a lot of people spend their time on the beach. I suppose they prefer pools. Only thing it was missing was a small table for every sun umbrella.
Couple steps from beach is infinity pool and beach bar with a buffet. Great food served during lunch time (pizza was top choice for quests), we didn’t even once go to main restaurant for lunch. Infinity pool is great place to relax, cool down from sun and have some swim. Taking a small walk you reach a main restaurant and main pool. Restaurant is ok, AC works all time so its not hot there. Main pool is a place mostly for kids. But adults can also have fun there and enjoy drinks from the bar there. During night animations near main pool, the inside building bar is open but it’s very occupied so i recommend spending time at infinity pool, bar there is open until 11 pm with only few quest enjoying peaceful view near beach. Toilets are small but clean, there was very realy any lines to toilets.
Some animations take place during day, mostly at main pool (kids play mostly). At infinity pool you can take part in aqua aerobic. Evening events from what i’ve heard are also great but we preferred spending evenings at infinity pool. During daytime music over pools area is nice but not too loud so you can enjoy peaceful time.
Food is very good, everyone will find something. From standard dishes to sea food and greek specials. Most quests stand in line for handmade pizza. Skipping that you will never stand in lines for anything. During lunch and dinner you can have beer, white/red/rose wine from distributors. There are also a lot of sweets, cakes and fruits. Coffee is decent, there are also a variety of juices (from distributors). There’s no bottled water in the hotel. Drinks at bars are good, most are free if you have all inclusive options, more fancy are paid 2-5 euros. They use real cola or sprite for drinks, and whiskey is Johnny Walker red label.
In main building near reception you can find a car rental desk, stepping 5 steps outside hotel there’s a “supermarket” with souvenirs, some groceries, sun hats etc. Good prices. Hotel also has its own shop near main pool, also with souvenirs (magnets 1,9 euro, swimming goggles 9-11 euros, keychains around 2-3 euros), some accessories to water, prices are also ok, 6 pack of water was 4,9 euros.
Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. But they have a lot of work, even 12h shifts so sometimes they are really tired. They don’t have a lot of time to take a breath. Despite that they are always happy to have a little chat with guests, joke and laugh. So the atmosphere is very good.
I can truly recommend Smy Princess Of Kos. Hotel has everything you wish for, it’s hard for me to find something negative. We just had great time, beach is wonderful, evenings at infinity pool bar were relaxing. Sunsets are just spectacular. I could easily spend there 2 weeks. Definitely what to come back there again.
