10 nights stay for us. Here’s what you need to know before coming to the Aegean view: This is more like a small village rather than a hotel, there are so many apartments and pools scattered about the place, if you have mobility problems, you may want to look elsewhere as the resort is on the side of a hill, so lots of steps and hills to navigate.
There’s an overall feel of “this could be so good” we found that lots of things need TLC, but this didn’t stop us from having a great time.
The food could be better, I found lots of the dishes to be a little salty for my taste, however there’s plenty to choose from, although there’s so many beautiful restaurants nearby that are so worth visiting.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful! I have noticed that not everyone got along well with the staff, but that seemed to be the guests problem and being rude to people who work very long hours and are just trying to do their best.
In short, if we could find a good deal on flights and say 5 nights at a decent price, we would definitely come back as the setting of this resort is wonderful.
If like us, you booked this hotel and looked at the poor reviews just before arriving and felt some regret, GIVE THE PLACE A CHANCE!
We had an amazing holiday if you’re happy to accept that a once extremely beautiful hotel now needs some doing up!

Overpriced hotel for our family holiday do not book if you expect 4 star facilities
The price paid for our family holiday was for a 4* hotel, 3plus hotel of jet2/tui standards but all marketed as 4* but the quality and the facilities were less or around max 3 star or less 2* plus maybe.
As we had issues from first night from arrival.
We had been checked with a 3 y old in a room 10th a walking up a hill when we arrived at 01:00 with a toddler half asleep,
we had to pay for someone to take our suitcases at their golf cart buggy wasn’t available.
Struggling to find hotel room .
No details given at that time to none of the people in the group.
The toilet flusher didn’t work when we arrived.
This was fixed at 6PM next day when we returned from pool and we couldn’t use the facilities as the repair should have done earlier not at 6PM.
The fuse box and electricity would trip or stop at least 3-4-6 times between 5:30PM and 7PM.
The sheets have only been changed once for the whole durantion
Room hasn’t been cleaned or sweeped at all for the duration.
No mopping available for shower making shower difficult with a child as also wet and trips and slips
No shower curtain available
Ants in the room.
Rubbish left outside of the room
Electric cables left for children reach around the resort.
Food left on floor and caused me to trip i. front of the hotel staff who weren’t even bothered to clean.
Chicken from gyros day second day we arrived was servered uncooked.
Several people from our group had food poisoning or had to throw their gyros away.
We had a room set completely different to our other 3 rooms from the group.
Other guests asked for room changed and their got changed when we asked for us to be changed closer to our friends the manager told us to try again tomorrow even through we had a child and pram to push over the hill at least 3 times a day and back. The other guest that were moved from 400 rooms had a teenager child not a toddler and they were moved, discriminating.
The shuttle bus from reception to the 400 rooms only runs 3 times a day and last run is at 8:30pm never seen it working that time but also the kids disco is finished at 9:30 are we supposed to be closed to rooms …

After a delay and transfer issue we arrived to the hotel at 11pm and was greeted by a lovely gentleman. Check in was easy and we were taken to the room by the golf buggy. We had a swim up room on 1st impressions the room looked clean . Beds are very comfortable. We did notice that cleaning could do with been done more regularly.. Towels/ bed linen not changed unless you ask.
There are about 11 pools in the complex. The main pool is where the entertainment would be during the day. Never a problem with sun beds. Water Park area is in need of attention. Broken beds etc. Kids pool at the top has seen better days and pool up there looked dirty. Also found going down the steps into the pool can be slippy and hard to see. They could do with been more visible. My kids enjoyed the slides as did I.
The hotel is located up a hill. If you have mobility issues this place is not for you. They do provide a free bus that goes to the town which is handy. Taxi back is €10.
Food was OK. Pancakes in the morning where lovely. Lunch and dinner much of the same thing Pasta, some meat and fish dishes. There was always something to eat. You can also make your own toasties during the day.
Entertainment in the evening is the normal kids disco followed by a quiz / karaoke etc...
We enjoyed our stay here and staff were all very pleasant. Its just in need of a little TLC

Will try and do an honest and fair review. The Aegean view resort could be a fantastic place, the rooms, pools, bars and restaurants all have the potential to be brilliant. BUT the whole place is dirty, not maintained properly and poorly managed. On arrival some of our group were not given the correct room and had to wait over 24 hours before being moved to the correct size room. The rooms are not clean, towels and sheets were stained, previous occupants rubbish and a pair of boxers were still in the room. Toilet leaked in our room and was not fixed the whole time we were there. No shower curtain so the bathroom got flooded with every shower. Wardrobe door fell off and again was not fixed during our stay. We was in room 383, the decor was clearly done cheap and quick, paint on lampshades and grout still all over the bathroom. Had to ask for our room to be cleaned and bins emptied on 3rd day of our stay. Pool outside was OK but didn't seem that clean, one of our party watched a cleaner rinse out their mop in it. Broken tiles and drain covers all around the pool. Was not swept or cleaned the whole week. Loungers were filthy and broken as were the umbrellas. The resort has about 9 pools and although we only used 3 of them they all seemed to have the same problems. The restaurant or mess hall as we called it was crowded, there were not enough staff to keep on top of the table cleaning which meant that tables were left piled with dirty plates for ages. Floor was disgusting, you could almost scrape the dirt off. I will say the food was OK, a good selection each day and always plenty of it. The upstairs restaurant that you have to book serves the same food in a buffet style and was not table service as we expected. All the bars serve watered down drinks, the beer was ridiculously weak, soft drinks were almost undrinkable and cocktails tasted over strong but again were weak. Staff in general seemed unhappy and rude not enough of them to maintain everything. Most seemed to not care, I witnessed cleaners leave piles of dirty plates, linen and glasses in a walkway for days. The evening entertainment was poor with mostly just music covers playing loudly on poor quality speakers. As the resort is on a hill there is steep slopes to get to most rooms, there is a buggy that can drive you up and down but it wasn't working most of the week. Because of the height of the resort there is nice views across kos town and the aegean and you can see sunsets from the main bar area. Thankfully my group managed to see the funny side of all the problems and we still had a fun holiday. But we did have to complain several times to the nice but useless reception staff and will be seeking compensation from our tour operator as the resort was advertised as 4 star but would barely pass for 2 or 3.
