A friendly accommodating resort close to the beach and a short walk from all the shops and bars. The swimming pool has recently been upgraded however it is not heated and is cold during winter. Most pools are like this, even the 4 star Barcello across the road. Despite that it makes a refreshing swim albeit a brief one!
I personally struggled with the hard uncomfortable bed and sofa.
If these get upgraded I would return without hesitation. It is run by lovely helpful staff who made every effort to make our stay pleasant.

Room we were in number 58 is not a great room as it’s tucked out of the way and gets no sun we had to use the lights during daylight hours as it was so dark.
We nicknamed it “The Dungeon”.
Condition of the apartments is very poor with lots of bits worn or broken.
The slats on the Louvre doors broken.
Bathroom door lock broken.
The hob had two dials and a hole for what I have no idea looks very dodgy if kids were about!
Fridge very noisy also freezer door broken so always open. This causes water to flow out the bottom of the fridge leaving a puddle every morning on the floor.
From the first night the electric tripped out. As this left us with not hot water, I went down early that morning and the maintenance guy comes up promptly and resets the trips which were behind a notice.
Next day they trip again. So I tried to reset the trips. Turns out the circuit to the fridge, cooker and hot water tank kept tripping the apartment. Called in to reception and again guy promptly turns up. I explained the problem to him and he fiddled with the hob and reset the circuit.
This happened another few times during our holiday so I just reset the breaker, problem is if you are in the toilet shower room it goes black!
This place is in desperate need of a refurbishment!
As of this morning we have disposed of 4 cockroaches. Also hundreds of ants so please keep any food well sealed!
This is by far the worst appartment we have stayed in.
I wonder if it just this apartment?
I will be taking this up the holiday company we used.
On the plus side, the shower worked a treat. Also had a microwave.
Staff are very friendly.
Good bar, with a happy hour although the drinks were very reasonably priced anyway.
Pool area small but clean.

NOT SAFE!!
I was immensely disappointed with my recent experience with Puerto Caleta. Specifically, I was unhappy with how disrespectful the staff were and with the condition of the apartment, yhe receptionist threw a paper at me and was shouting at me, the doors in the apartments are not safe. It was dirty there wasn't proper bedding provided, there was also an infestation of some kind of insect that i couldn't make out the species of and to top it up we had a power cut across the whole resort which made all the food we bought go bad, we couldn't shower or charge our phones, and as a result we missed a activity we had booked. Staff did not inform us of what was happening and were very rude when I brang the issue to their attention. They denied me my legal rights by refusing to provide me with the managers details. This made me feel very dismissed and overall unsafe. Wasted a day of my holiday. This is a very bad place.
The weather however is nice and there is a little pool which doesn’t really look like the pics online but there’s a pool. 🤷🏾♂️

For a 2 star apartment, this location offered everything I expected, with a couple of minor inconveniences.
The location was ideal with a short walk to the beach and plenty of local restaurants and shops within walking distance. There is a bus station less than a 10 minute walk away, allowing you to travel around Fuerteventura.
The accommodation itself was welcoming with a nice sized apartment and comfortable beds. However, the walls were rather thin as I could hear the neighbours both above and to the side of my apartment. This woke me up a few times when other guests came back late at night or used the toilet during the night. The kitchen was lacking a few essential items which would be expected with a self-cathering apartment. For me, these included the kettle, toaster and a spatula. Following a night of rain, a large puddle also formed in the bathroom.
Otherwise, this is a great location with everything you'd need for a short break to Fuerteventura.
