Always impressed by the food here, its a far cry from pub grub!! We take family & friends who visit either for drinks or food & drinks, and everyone has been more than pleased with their experience. There is an extensive range of drinks from draught beers & ciders to bottles to spirits.
We drop in from time to time and often take friends with us. The food is great with a really good menu to choose from. The service is always prompt & efficient, professional & polite. As locals, the owner always acknowledges us, but is equally welcoming to first time visitors.
Today we opted for one course, the portions are generous and two courses at lunch usually means we don't eat for the rest of the day! We both chose burgers, the Aberdeen Angus & Suns Out Buns Out & had 3 pints of Keo and a small water and the bill came in at €46 which we feel was good value for the food & service.
There are a number of TV's and all sorts of sports are playing but they are not intrusive. They are responsive to requests for particular games/events.
There is free parking on street and to the rear of the property.

🍔 Absolutely blown away by The New Horizon! Their house-made burgers are a culinary adventure - each one crafted with obvious passion and creativity. The variety of options means there's something for everyone, from classic combinations to unique gourmet twists. Beyond burgers, their entire menu showcases quality ingredients and expert preparation. What really sets them apart is the exceptional service - the wait staff is lightning-quick and genuinely attentive without being intrusive. The perfect spot for both casual dining and special occasions. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and try one of their amazing burgers. You won't regret it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This place is great if, you want to watch Premier League football, and you want an authentic English pub experience.
The atmosphere is very relaxed and also family friendly.
The staff are welcoming and the food very good, with overly generous portions.

We’ve been coming to this place now for a long time and have always been happy. The atmosphere and food are brilliant and if you’re into sport it provides many tv screens to watch it on so you could watch more than one at a time.
A well stocked bar and a selection of none alcoholic drinks for those who don’t want anything alcoholic.
As the owner is into sport the healthy food on offer reflects this. You’ll not be disappointed.

This was our 2nd visit, and food was just as good as the 1st.
I had the pork chop on this visit and on the 1st visit I had the lamb cutlets. Both very tasty and would highly recommend
Portions are huge. The pizza was big enough for 2 children to share.
Staff were very busy, but the service was still very good.
It does have sport playing on the tvs, but the sound was turned down so that you could hear the music that was being played.
3 main meals, 2 sides, a pudding and 2 rounds of drinks plus a hot chocolate and a coffee came to €100.
I suppose you get what you pay for
