I recently stayed at Grecotel Cape Sounio, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The room, food, pool, and the breathtaking views of the sea were all amazing and contributed to a truly memorable stay.
However, I did encounter a couple of issues. The first room we were given had a strong smell of smoke, which was disappointing. Fortunately, the hotel staff was very accommodating and promptly arranged for a different room. The new room was perfect, and we really appreciated the quick resolution.
One thing that could use improvement is the air conditioning system. In the room we stayed in, the AC was extremely loud, to the point where it felt like being in an airplane. This did affect our comfort, especially at night when we were trying to sleep.
Despite these minor inconveniences, the overall experience was fantastic. The hospitality, location, and amenities make Grecotel Cape Sounio a great choice for a relaxing getaway.

Perfection! Thank you to all at this special hotel, my son & I had a wonderful stay. Our main aim was to visit the Temple of Poseidon and so the hotel was chosen for its location. I was a little unsure as some of the reviews online were negative (?!). To our surprise and delight this beautiful hotel provided us an incredibly relaxing stay with out of this world views of the Temple and the Aegean. The resort is very well designed over a very large area which provides many lovely places to sit, swim and eat - each with a sense of quiet privacy. We enjoyed every meal (Yalli in particular) with outstanding service from every person we came across. I would recommend booking directly with hotel and explaining your needs & aims so that they can advise on room choices and activities. I can’t wait to come back. Thank you

The hotel location and the property is beyond stunning . The view of Poseidon Temple from the hotel is breathtaking. The restaurants service was great .
The rooms are nice and spacious but the hotel needs to work on the housekeeping team as we stayed there for 5 nights . Luxury exclusive resorts have standards and I felt the house keeping is way below standards . Sheets were stained , food was left in the room despite being asked several times to be removed . Amenities were not placed in the bathrooms , and we had cleaning equipment left in our rooms several times .
The gym area as a wonderful view , but could use newer equipment . It was disappointing that the spa was also in the same area of the gym but without the view and the spa was way below the expected standards in such a resort. They really need to work on the spa area and the spa team .
The Conceirge was very responsive and the transportation was very well organized and taken care of . The pool area and the beach is wonderful

Our stay at Grecotel cape sounio was a dream!! It was our honeymoon and we wanted to relax for a few days before going to our cruise.. I definitely recommend that, before heading to the islands, spare a couple of days there!
The room was absolutely amazing, so beautiful, so chic, everything simply perfect 🩷
apart from that, the hotel itself (restaurants, beaches, pools) is the same: perfect!
The food amazing, the view of the Poseidon temple is breathtaking!
Also want to say that the service was great!! I already think the Greek are one of the kindest people, but they managed to be even nicer at Grecotel.
Thank you again for our stay and we will definitely be coming back 😍

Grecotel at cape Sounio was beautiful!! The individuals working are lovely and pleasant, and super helpful! They started our stay upon check in with Prosecco and an explanation of the property. They then took us us to our room with help from staff to carry our bags up. The property is gorgeous and right off the water with a view of the temple of Poseidon. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast as well where there were many options for everyone! The only issues we had was with our AC. It was blowing super cold air the first night but after that, our second and third day it blew hot air. We tried calling the front office and they sent a maintenance guy who didn’t speak English and only turned off the system and back on and it didn’t fix the problem. I sent an email about it the next day and sadly they didn’t reply and at that point we were going to be checking out the following morning. Also be aware they charge a 10 euro per day fee so just be aware. Either way, lovely place!
