Second visit to this beautiful hotel was even better than the first many years ago. All the staff were amazing, rooms comfortable, exquisite location. We loved our experience and can't wait to return.

It's all fake landscape apart from the small bit of mangrove in front of the sea but it's nicely done with good walking paths to get about. Surprisingly cold and windy in mid Feb but is still warm compared to UK in summer most of the time. Plenty of happy sparrows and crows to entertain you eating outside

I can honestly say that I've stayed in many 5 star resorts and this one is most definitely at the top! The hotel manager Mohammad Ali ensured that we had the most enjoyable time. The staffs hospitality was second to none. From our room and the service, accommodating my requests, such as seating during dinner, shisha lounging to basically anything I requested.. Mohammad and his staff made sure we were satisfied at all times. Nothing I requested was too much trouble. Service with a smile, humble and kind and great to talk to.. Simply amazing! I will definitely return, for years to come

-The general view and environment is very nice, unfortunately the room is really bad especially the soundproofing. The sun couldn't get into the room, either, even though it was huge. But the Ac works well
- The restaurant has a lot of choices, however the food doesn't change much almost every day. The flavors were mediocre as well.
- Service is especially makes people disappointed, didn't see the professionalism of the Sheraton as a 5 star hotel and the sop was confusing, concierge is quite helpful and kind, but From the beginning we didn’t receive any welcome drinks 😅 ,and for the restaurant the commend i order the same thing for there different days every day they delivery something different😅 (which is not I ask like I ask for a tea and they give me a coffee)😅…
-When we entered one of the restaurants we were not welcomed and the table seated after us received the menu first+ a warm welcome, Certain waiters were reluctant introduce the stuff, even we just want ask for a local tea finally what we received is a cup of Lipton with a mint leaf 😅 tell me if Lipton is a local Egypt tea lol. 😂
- Although some staffs are really nice but some are not,and the bad soundproofing room plus the reception sometimes can’t respond properly also the food I will still describe this trip out of the expectation but with a bad way. And didn’t fell welcomed and Warm atmosphere 😅👎

Generally we had a good week in the Sheraton. There were few things that made the stay uncomfortable like :
- there were big gaps around the doors (all doors) of the room. So everytime someone would back to his/her room, we would hear everything and the doors shut pretty hard and make a lot of noise.
Due to these big gaps, we were awaken EVERY NIGHT by the crows and other birds (around 2 am and sometimes 4 am). The only option was to wake up, go out in the middle of the night and make the birds go away…
I’ve also heard that the room were renovated but do something about these gaps !! They let too much sound inside and especially cold air during the night (stayed in February so pretty cold during the night).
- At the Miramar restaurant, we personally didn’t like the food; most of the meat, fish, pancakes, … that was cooked “on the spot” was very dry and not very tasty. There weren’t many choices and nothing looked really good… we found some meals that were good as well but most of the time we were disappointed. We also tried to eat at the Mövenpick but the situation was similar, everything was dried. We had to go to the downtown to finally eat some good food.
- the personal was quite nice, even though we didn’t get a welcome drink like ALL the other tourists, even though we paid for an expensive room. We always had troubles ordering the drink; most of the time we wouldn’t get what we order (for example, we asked for a coke and an ice tea and we got a bier and something that tasted like gummy. One morning we asked for a black tea with milk and we received a black coffee ??!!)
Last thing, the music in the lobby was too loud, we couldn’t talk with our guide or call anyone.
Although I complained a lot, we really enjoyed the exterior of the hotel. All these small islands, the boat, the bridges and the reception were very nicely done ! Also the hotel was very secured. We felt safe and had no issue walking in El Gouna. The staff was very nice, they helped us as soon as they see that we had an issue.
I’d definitely come back if I know I’ll get a more “soundproof” room. The food wasn’t that terrible but the chef should put more love into the meals !
