Good hotel needs updating a tad. Rooms spacious and clean. Great beds. Restaurant good food always hot and a good choice. Salads great. Need more staff in restaurant so it flows a bit better. Wait for drinks at meal times. Had to chase up for clean towels a few times and bedding changed. In a quiet resort not a lot there.

Making this post during our holiday to mention the animation team, I will update for the hotel once finished.
I must say we have been to a few hotels over the years and can honestly say that here the animation team has gone above and beyond.
There are activities going on all the time (something for everyone from morning to evening)and they are always welcoming.
They really do put their all into it and you can feel it. Special mention to Dan who I have spoken to a few times and have given a real 5 star service can't fault anything.
The team is great with the kids and adults.
Update: The hotel
The hotel is great for us and we will definitely be coming again. The food is always great and something for everyone.
The staff are always welcoming and very helpful. There is a diverse language group here and I never felt that I could not ask a question.
The hotel is a short 15-20min walk to the town across the beach path from there you have all the town and harbour activities and there is a shopping centre next door also for all the bits you could need.
They have a heated pool which was a big plus.
This is a must try hotel.

Recently spent Ten nights at this hotel. I or we can only comment on our experiences. When I've looked at the negative comments, they are pretty much the same, but the problems still continue, management haven't dealt with them.
I'll start with the good -
Breakfast
Beds are comfortable
Location of the hotel on the promenade and about 15 minutes walk to the centre or a couple of minutes to a shopping centre.
Shower really powerful and hot.
The staff.
The poor -
Hotel extremely outdated, tired looking and in bad repair.
Rooms apart from the beds, not very clean and in need of decoration.
Evening meal, apart from the Oriental and Mexican themed night, inedible, repetitive. How can two pizzas or one tray of meat feed 400 guests ?? They do not replenish hot food quick enough, so you end up missing out.
Tables are never set, you end up setting your own table as there isn't enough staff. You will eat your evening meal without a drink as, once again not enough staff to ask what drink you would like. It's an absolute disaster.
Pool area, big, plenty of sunbeds, but filthy, sunbeds are old, broken and will hurt your back. There are plenty, so you will always get one.
Our room 271 - Where do I start.... The hotel, is directly under the landing pathway of the airport, you can virtually see the pilots in the cockpit. I'm not Joking !! Our room had a balcony, over looking the service delivery area of the hotel, about 04.30 to 06.30 every morning, you will get an early alarm clock, the bins are collecting, you will hear the reversing alarm on the truck. Then you will hear staff coming to work in their cars, music plating full blast, so that's a nice touch to the early morning call. That side of the hotel, will hear the same, so you can't move anywhere else.
Room towels, very hit and miss you if you get any, you end up walking to reception most days saying, can we have some towels please, we need a shower!! very frustrating.
The price of drinks are expensive at the evening bar. You will queue, only one member of staff usually serving. Two rum and coke's €16.
I and we would never return, the management need to change, it's needs a refurbishment and a good direct business model, either all inclusive or half board. The hotel has lost its way. It's busy, because it's cheap.

Animation is the best!! Absolutely loved every minute of our holiday here. All the staff are very polite and accommodating. Facilities are perfect and the food and drink choices are amazing!
Once again, a HUGE thank you to the Animation Team. Loads of energy and our kids had the best time! Definitely coming back asap.

The hotel is spotless and all the staff go the extra mile.
All the staff we encountered were pleasant, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Service was excellent.
The biggest problem is the hotel guests and how a minority treat the staff during service. Clicking their fingers at them and being rude wanting personal service. Should be ashamed.
The food was good and was what you expect at any hotel. It was fresh and plenty of choice.
