Here’s what you can expect from the weather in Sunny Beach throughout the year…

• January and February are Sunny Beach’s coldest months. Holidays during this time are often quite cheap - ideal if you don’t mind swapping the beach for Bulgaria’s brilliant museums and vibrant cultural attractions. Temperatures average at around 5 degrees Celsius.

• In March and April, things begin to pick up and milder weather is expected. Temperatures average around the low 10s initially before hitting 15/16 towards the end of April. Sunny Beach is a great choice for an early or Easter break.

• In May, temperatures soar to around 18 degrees, with the hottest days breaking into the low 20s.

• Sunny Beach well and truly lives up to its name by the time June rolls around. There’s plenty of sunshine and fun to be had during this time with temperatures averaging around 23 degrees.

• July and August are Sunny Beach’s hottest months with the temperatures starting at 25 and often hitting the high 20s. The height of summer is when Sunny Beach is at its busiest so book in advance to secure your dream holiday.

• In September and October, Sunny Beach remains warm with plenty of sunshine and temperatures fluctuating between the high 10s to low 20s. Autumn is a popular time to visit Sunny Beach with those who prefer more manageable weather.

• Sunny Beach cools down in November and December, with temperatures dropping to around 12 degrees, and later 5 degrees.

You don’t have to be an adrenaline junkie to try your hand at water sports! Surfing, snorkelling and jet-skiing are just a few of the many activities available here.

Sunny Beach has plenty on offer for children to keep them entertained during their stay. You’ll find a variety of fun things to do, including amusement arcades, volleyball, horse-riding, bowling, boat tours, tennis and more.

The party continues way into the early hours in Sunny Beach. If you’re looking to paint the town red you’ll find a number of great nightclubs, casinos, bars and restaurants throughout the resort. Dance until the sun comes up or try your hand at karaoke.

Over 2,000 years of history are just waiting to be discovered in the nearby town of Nessebar. The resort’s old district is home to many Medieval ruins and old architecture that reflect Bulgaria’s rich cultural heritage.

The picturesque Black Sea coast is perhaps best explored on foot. Prepare to be left breathless by the region’s scenic landscapes, including the nearby Stara Planina mountain, which dominates the area’s horizon.
