I recently had the pleasure of staying at this exquisite hotel, and I must say, it was an absolute delight from start to finish. The service, luxurious amenities, and views made for an unforgettable experience. I was particularly impressed by the exceptional staff, including Nikoleta from Tholos, Eleni from F&B, Buterfly from housekeeping, Dimitris and Haris from concierge, and Jenny from Haute Living. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality truly set this hotel apart. I cannot wait to return and indulge in another perfect stay.

This was our second visit to the hotel since 2009 when it first opened. We were the first two guests on our honeymoon and stayed in one of the Owner's Villas, with private pool and tennis court. The Domes of Elounda hotel is a suite-only basis so the tranquillity and privacy are perfect for our nostalgic holiday. From the warm greeting at check in with refreshing herbal drink to being whisked away in a buggy were seamless. It offers your own private pool, plus an adult-only plus a family pool area and the beach club. We were on half-board basis but also ate at the three a la carte restaurants for lunch and dinner ( Blend, Akti and the very chic Makris). They have a VIP club for all day snacks and drinks called Haute Living which was excellent for mid-morning coffee or afternoon Earl Grey tea. They have a new area called CORE which is set in natural landscapes and offers small food outlets and shops. The location opposite Spinalonga is stunning and the newer suites on the top of the resort we had dual aspect both mountain and sea. Breakfast was an array of fresh fruits, cheeses, waffles, pancakes, pastries, salads, etc and teas, coffee fresh juices. There are tennis courts, gyms, a spa, a store, business centre, room service bars, etc. The beach restaurant Akti served fresh seabass and it was so fresh and tasty served with Cretan Alpha rose wine, perfect. The Makris Elounda was very chic, and we had the steak and the seafood pasta dishes, fabulous. You do not have to leave the resort as it's all there. A short stroll away is Plaka a cute Cretan village with some small shops and great local restaurants. A longer walks to Elounda is larger and has more to do with the pharmacy and bars/restaurants. Arriving in our Suite #902 and seeing the natural setting behind the property. The sun on the private pool, the outside kitchen area and the large Smart TVs in lounge and the bedroom. It had a nice rainfall separate shower plus a soaking bathtub. There were plenty of coat hangers, safe, Cretan shower gels and shampoos plus fabulous luxury towels, slippers and bathrobes. The maid service was first class and then the turndown service added to the special feelings we had. Special shout out to The General Manager George Kyriois and his full team including George from all the amazing restaurants, Stella & Lena in guest relations, Alex front desk, Pantelis at beach bar, ops manager Demetriuous and his team supporting everything in the resort.
Room Tip: 1. Upgrade to the new suites with pools. 2. Walk around the property and take in all the natural beauty.

After a memorable stay in Khersonisos last year, we sought a change of pace and discovered the enchanting haven that is the Domes of Elounda.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality Cretan spirit. The staff, with their attentive care and friendly demeanor, made us feel truly welcomed, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience.
The location of the Domes of Elounda is simply unparalleled. Perched on a hillside overlooking the shimmering waters of the Aegean Sea, with a panoramic view of the historic Spinalonga Island, every moment spent admiring the scenery felt like a dream. Our accommodation was comfort and elegance, providing the perfect blend of luxury and tranquility. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the culinary journey offered at the Domes of Elounda. From delectable Mediterranean cuisine to refreshing cocktails enjoyed by the poolside, every meal was a celebration of flavour.
In conclusion, we wholeheartedly recommend the Domes of Elounda to anyone seeking a truly unforgettable experience on the island of Crete.

We came from Canaves Epitome in Santorini, a small boutique hotel and more refined than Domes of Eloundra…what we found was a few steps below…
First, we got a small room with a smell of cigarettes…updraded (€900 +) to a bigger villa..only small stress.
Then to the F&B, some marks for trying by the staff but with 5 restaurants on the property I cannot understand why one isn’t open all day (this resort is full of kids!…including ours!) sorry 5 stars, one shouldn’t have to book nor wait for the restaurant to open at 1830pm!!!…VIP lounge (while you have to wait for the restaurant to open) is equal to a cheap airport lounge and isn’t managed properly.
Fish restaurant - got bumped for arriving 15mins early and waited 30mins for a cocktail !
Drinking Water in the room is - if by request - only.
Wake up call on the day of our departure never happened.
We won’t go back there but certainly will try Crete again…
