My partner and I had an amazing 10-day stay at this beautiful seafront hotel in Marmaris.
It's in a peaceful area away from the noisy party scenes but still easy to reach the centre (just a 40-minute walk or a quick ride on a rented electric scooter through an app).
The hotel has its own private harbor, perfect for morning swims, and the decor is top-notch throughout.
The staff are fantastic, from the friendly doorman to the talented bartenders and waiters - who all take their jobs very seriously.
The entertainment team were great at keeping guests happy with fun poolside games and impressive evening performances.
The food is a must-try, especially if you go all-inclusive. You won't need to eat out because the food here is truly incredible.
Even though we usually like exploring new places, we'd happily stay here again.

My recent stay at Casa de Maris was a mixed experience. While I typically opt for more centrally located hotels like the Green Nature Diamond Hotel, I decided to try Casa de Maris based on a family recommendation.
The hotel offers some decent amenities, including a 24-hour bar, which was a major draw for me as most other hotels tend to close their services by midnight. However, the reality of the hotel doesn't quite match the online photos. The entertainment provided was lackluster and geared towards an older crowd, and it didn't last long. The animation team did their best, but there's definitely room for improvement in terms of variety and quality.
As for dining options, I found the choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner to be somewhat limited, with no themed nights to add excitement. The food itself was passable but lacked flavor, and I found myself preferring the snacks available at the snack bar. The service from the food and beverage staff left something to be desired, as I rarely received offers for drinks or assistance. It felt more like a self-service setup rather than the five-star experience I expected.
The quality of drinks at the bar varied. The lobby bar staff were not particularly friendly, and the drinks weren't consistent in taste. However, the pool bar staff were much more welcoming and even offered specialty drinks not listed on the menu. It's worth noting that while the lobby bar operates 24 hours, the pool bar closes around midnight.
One major issue I encountered was the poorly lit corridors throughout the hotel, which made navigating both during the day and at night a challenge. Additionally, the balcony lacked privacy, as the partition glass allowed for visibility into neighboring balconies, diminishing the sense of personal space. Moreover, once the hotel turned off the lights, there was no independent balcony lighting, leaving guests in the dark if they wished to enjoy the balcony at night.
On a positive note, the reception staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. I would recommend requesting a room away from the reception floor, as these rooms can be noisy due to their proximity to nearby farms and the lobby bar.
Overall, my stay at Casa de Maris had its ups and downs. While I appreciated some of the facilities, there were enough drawbacks to make me consider exploring other options for future stays.

My first impression was that it definitely wasn't a 5 star hotel. This will become apparent to those that have actually stayed in luxury 5 star hotels. However, that said, the hotel quickly grew on me.
I found the service to be excellent at this hotel. Me and my partner both remarked how incredibly friendly and hard working the staff are. The vast majority of them go out of their way to see your needs taken care of and I witnessed some great rapport between guests and staff.
The food in the main self service restaurant was varied and very tasty. My partner is a fussy eater, yet she enjoyed many of the selections that were laid out. My only complaint was that the selection of fruit juices from the machine tasted very watered down and were not chilled sufficiently.
The bar staff were overall were very good. There was a slight disparity between the quality of cocktails. Once you figured out who's good and who's not, you learn to gravitate towards those bartenders. (Tip's also help!)
The rooms were clean, spacious and in good condition. The air conditioning appeared to be locked at 22 degrees centigrade which wasn't quite cool enough for my needs. I experienced mild temperatures in Mamaris (18-23c). I would suggest that in anything over 27c guests would struggle with the heat because the air con didn't appear that effective. (presumably this is done to save electricity?)
The TV's did not have ability for me to cast my media to them from my phone or tablet.
The noise levels were mostly quite high due to thin walls. Unfortunately the hotel appears to located between two small farms. If you open the balcony door with a mountain view, you will be treated to chickens sometimes making a racket outside.
Other than that, the location was really convenient for access to the amenities along the promenade of Mamaris.
Overall, I enjoyed my experience but I would temper my expectations as it does not meet all the criteria I would expect for a 5 star hotel.
