We've been to Tenerife many times but never to this hotel. After reading some of the reviews, I was apprehensive. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, my apprehension disappeared. Great location, clean rooms, the staff were very helpful. We were self-catering, so I can't comment on the restaurant.
There's plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, and you're spoilt for choice.
We stayed in room.306, the beds were comfortable, and the room was adequate for our stay. The rooms aren't cleaned on a Wednesday or Thursday, but the bins are emptied daily.
The pool area is cleaned every morning, and it is entertaining watching people congregate waiting for the beds to be unchained at 10.00am. There really isn't any need as there's enough beds for everyone.
Check out is midday, but there are shower and luggage rooms you can use.
We'd certainly visit Aguamar again. Thank you for a pleasant stay 😎

We come to tenerife every year for the sunshine and warm hospitality fortunately for us it's the first time in this hotel as we're not sure we'd be so enthusiastic about coming.
Positives - big rooms for 2 people. Kitchenette. Sunbeds aren't unlocked until 10am so stops the towel warriors. Nice walk into town. Good friendly bars and restaurants all around.
Negatives - rooms to small for 4 people despite the bed settee. You have to pay 3 euro per day for the cushioned mat to go on the sunbed frame. You have to pay 2 euro per day for an umbrella by the pool. You have to pay 20 euro for a weeks wifi!
There are no pool towels. There is only basic toiletries for 2 nights (we were told this). We stayed 8 nights and didn't have maid service for 3 nights (we were told no clean towels etc for 2 nights).
Bathroom looks older than my youngest child, he's 25. Shower over the bath and a shower curtain which needs a good wash (photo attached).
Whoever is managing the staff should work out why they are so unhappy, from cleaning staff, restaurant, pool, reception there is a struggle for a cheery welcome.
I understand some rooms have been refurbished so pot luck which you get however a warm welcome costs nothing and charging for WiFi is again dated.

This is a totally honest review.Just returned from 11 nights here on self catering basis. We would never stay again. Only good thing is location. We were situated on 3rd floor and woken every night by bins being emptied.at 1am. Rooms are dated especially the bathrooms which consist of a small bath with shower curtain. Fans in living room and bedroom are adequate for this time of year but definitely not summer. No drawers. Mattresses have a plastic sheet on which is awful as soon as you move its makes a scraping sound. Maids do come in regular. Pool area is clean but policed beyond words. Does not open until 10am and closes 5.30 /6 ish. Beds are chained up and you are charged 3euro for a mattress which is scandalous considering this is meant to be a 3*plus hotel. Not really suitable for those with kids itching to get in pool. Charging 3.50 for a soft drink. Lifeguard is rude collecting beds in around you as soon as someone moves. There is a roof top area which doesn't open until 9.30am, however towels are out!! Safety deposit boxes are located in a locked room behind reception which we didnt like as everyone has access with room keys. When sat on balcony there we experienced a constant smell of weed which seemed to come from behind kitchen area. Reception staff have no manners. We handed our safe key in and literally shoved 20 euro over counter. No gesture such as" have you enjoyed your stay with us ? Wont be returning will go back to Paradise Park, much better even the hill!

Came here in September for a weeks holiday. Had a lovely time and was quiet compared to other hotels.
We went for the half board option and food was okay.
It was a bit of a walk to the beach, however its quite a nice walk going through a small park alongside the SOL hotel.
Access to Taxi's are very good too, the helpful Lady behind the desk requested a Taxi for me and within 2 minutes it was at the front of the hotel.

Staff were amazing...rooms were clean and pleasant...nothing was an issue for staff to help out with....food was lovely...atmosphere was so chilled and friendly in and around pool...our kids loved the soft play ( ages 2 and 10)...we will definitely be back!❤🥳
