The hotel is in a great location for anyone wanting access to the beach to windsurf / kite. The rooms themselves are fine and the staff in general were polite but there some things that could be improved.
- Even though there are security safes in each room, you have to pay an extra daily fee to use it. A charge I have never had in any other hotel.
- A self service buffet breakfast is available 7 to 10am, however after 9.20am the supply of everything from cups, breads and fruit can be limited.
- The hotel has a nice pool with sun beds and umbrellas set around it, however these are pretty much reserved by towels/bags of certain hotel guests who lay their towels at breakfast and then disappear, not returning until mid afternoon after their windsurf/kite sessions.
- The hotel does not offer any yoga or massage services which are often available in a hotel catering for people pursuing sports during their stay.

This hotel is conveniently located near the airport, just a 10-minute drive away. They offer free parking in their own lot, but it’s first-come, first-served.
The breakfast buffet is surprisingly large and offers a variety of hot and cold dishes. We had a superior double room, which was spacious and seemed to have been recently renovated. The bathroom was clean and modern, but unfortunately, it lacked air conditioning.
The hotel’s location is great, as there are many restaurants within walking distance. We didn’t use the outdoor pool and relaxing area, but it looked inviting.
Overall, we found the hotel to be a good value for money and had no complaints. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning in our room.

This hotel was lovely. Really affordable, beautiful views, very comfortable bed and beautiful bathroom. The staff are very friendly, reception go above and beyond to be helpful. The restaurant and bar staff were lovely and prices were very reasonable. Location is great, parking provided for free. I can’t think of a single thing to make the experience better. We had a lovely time

This hotel was such a stellar find! I booked my holiday the day before I flew on a whim, and I struck gold with this hotel. Really affordable, well looked after, clean, modern rooms, and super helpful and friendly staff.
The breakfast is well stocked with a nice variety of options to choose from, and the on-site restaurant, HITO, is amazing.
The room came with a safe, which is €2.50 per day to use (standard in my experience) and is easy to set up with your own PIN. There's also a small fridge to use freely.
While the rooms don't have air-conditioning, there is a ceiling fan with 6 speeds which does the job perfectly. I found settings 3-4 to be more than sufficient to keep me cool, especially as I kept the balcony door open for fresh air as well.
The location is perfect too, right on the beach where you're immediately on the promenade leading you into El Médano town and it's abundance of little shops and cafés. Lots of surf shops in the area with both surf gear and surf clothing brands.
I mosty spent my time exploring and sitting on the beach watching the surfers (so cool!), but I used the pool for a couple of hours as well. It's comfortable, I managed to find a space easily despite deciding to go after lunch, and the pool is both clean and refreshing.
The only thing I'd advise is that you need to be OK with high winds and sand. This is a surf spot, after all, and so comes with a lot of wind! The pool area shields you from most of it, but you'll still feel it and sand, as we all know, gets everywhere!
I'd definitely return to this hotel!

A fabulous four days. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. Great food. bar, lunch and dinner offering a small menu but well presented, tasty food and drinks at good prices. Breakfast perfect for a day in or a day out. Great room, stylishly simple, immaculately clean and cleaned everyday. Clean / cold pool. Super location for venturing into the town to explore / shop. Guests very friendly, courteous and respectful. I'm just envious of the kite surfers. Thank you Playa Sur team.
