As a family of 4, 2kids & 2Adults, we had an amazing 5 day holiday here! The atmosphere & vibes were really comfortable, positive & relaxing.
Mainly British speaking visitors.
We had something fun to do every day. Water Park for kids, Swimming pools for Adults & kids.. Mini Golf. A 20 minute walk from the resort to the local beach climbing over the fun terrain, to find popcorns on the beautiful beach.. We didn't have a car but this didn't stop our adventures! There's a FREE bus to the local town & back, where you can go for food, shopping, experience other beautiful beaches...and a MASSIVE Aqua park with water slides etc...that the whole family can enjoy!
(You just book the FREE bus the day before you want to go, from the lovely lady in the HUT by the mini golf)..
Kids disco & entertainment after dinner that everyone can get involved with. Unfortunately the Pool tables need maintenance & balls missing!😔
The accommodation was perfect with separate bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, balcony and terrace. Grateful to have AC in rooms. With kettle in the kitchenette & dishwasher. It was clean & tidy. The food was great with plenty of choices but you can cook at your villa for the fussy eaters, once you've brought the food from the supermarket in the local town.... (Shop on site, not much choice but has the basics like Sangria! 😉)
The staff work very hard & are very friendly. My hat goes off to them!! 🙌🏼 Lovely smile from the lovely barman, who was always helpful & polite 😊
Any questions, you can ask or call reception but we were told everything we needed to know from when we first arrived.. We arrived early & lucky for us, our Villa was ready so we got to go straight there. We were offered luggage service, but didn't need as our villa wasn't too far away. It was at the ideal spot for us, with a short walk to anywhere we needed to go.
The children felt at home seeing a local cat who liked to visit our villa, we named him patches & put water out for him & the hedgehogs that we saw on the fullmoon night..🙀 the animals did appreciate the water!!💗
We had no problems with mosquitoes or other insects but the flies can be a bit annoying at times but didn't do any harm!
Maintenance can be improved but this didn't affect us.
The heat was HOT for us in October but the sea breeze helped us to stay cool, it was perfect, refreshing (but don't forget the sunscreen as it can be deceiving in the wind!)
Overall we felt like it was the best holiday for us, on this amazing, beautiful volcanic island..❤️
Thank you for having us stay 🙏🏼

Pierre & Vacances Fuerteventura Origo Mare Resort
We had a wonderful stay at Pierre & Vacances Fuerteventura Origo Mare Resort. Here are some highlights and a few practical tips to help future guests make the most of their holiday.
What we loved
- Great place for family and friends: the resort feels like a little village, with a relaxed, friendly vibe.
- Wonderful staff: consistently friendly and helpful, making you feel welcome from arrival to departure.
- Water fun for all ages: fantastic water slides, a wave-machine pool, and slides designed for younger guests. There are several pools scattered around the resort (Oasis 1, 2, and 3) to choose from.
- Food and dining: the food was generally excellent with good variety. While there is plenty to choose from, some dishes can feel a touch repetitive on longer stays.
- Convenient amenities: a buggy service is available to help transport luggage from the reception to your villa. There’s also a supermarket on site to cater for all needs and a laundry with washing machines and dryers (coins required) to help stay on top of your washing.
Practical notes and tips
- Village layout and walking distance: the resort is laid out like a mini village, so some villas can be a bit far from the main reception, dining area, and central pool. Be prepared for a bit of walking, especially when carrying luggage.
- Luggage service hours: the buggy service helps, but it isn’t available from around 12:00 am to 8:00 am due to limited staffing at reception. If you have an early flight, you may need to haul luggage a short distance from your villa in the early morning.
- Other pools: in addition to the main pool, the oasis pools (Oasis 1, 2, 3) provide extra options for swimming and relaxation.
- Fly management: a common challenge here is flies around meal times. It would be beneficial if the resort could add fly deterrents or sprays to improve the dining experience.
- Fitness considerations: as a runner, I’d love to see an outlined running track around the resort. Having a dedicated path for runners would help maintain exercise routines on holiday. Alternatively, a treadmill in the gym would be a welcome addition for rainy days or early mornings.
- Check-in timing: check-in is 17:00, so arriving before this time means you’ll need to store luggage and wait, rather than having immediate access to your room. If possible, consider booking a later flight to maximize your time in the room upon arrival.
Overall impression
Overall, this was a fantastic holiday experience. The resort offers plenty of water fun, good food, and a warm, welcoming staff. With a few improvements - such as fly deterrents, a running track or gym treadmill, and more flexible check-in timing - it could be even more perfect. If you’re after a relaxing family-friendly resort with lots of water activities and a village-like atmosphere, Pierre & Vacances Fuerteventura Origo Mare is a great choice.

Lovely lovely buffet (they change food everyday and it’s banging), big, nice people, holding deposit of £200 though, also, it’s like black mirror, the whole town is just the hotel with lots of apartments and NO SHOPS or any actual town or clear beach😅😅 they have a beach but it’s more like you finding some random deserted coastline. That’s fine tho, it was nice if you’re looking for something quite but there is nothing there. Though, a free bus from the hotel will take you everyday if you want, you just gotta ask the hotel to write you down the night before and collect the ticket. Transport is expensive to origo mare. 70-80 euros by taxi and more by coach for 4 people. 40 or so euros for one person ticket on coach.

Throughout our stay at Origo Mare, our air conditioning unit leaked nightly basically flooding our room - reception staff insisted it had been fixed daily but this wasn’t the case. Alternative rooms were not offered. I have to say, rather disappointing stay compared to others here. The place seems to be rather run down, not well managed, despite the price point.
All walkways and road networks around the ‘resort’ are crumbling causing tripping hazards. Most of the smaller pools amongst the ‘villas’ are closed and empty, the only open one has large holes at the bottom and sharp edges.
Most of the chairs and sun loungers (indoor and outdoor) are broken, if you’re over the age of 10 then you’d likely fall through half of them.
The bathrooms flood after every shower, our shower in particular had a broken shower head so water just sprays everywhere.
Most of the public toilet facilities are either broken or disgustingly dirty.
Origo Mare, I have already submitted a formal complaint via my travel agent and have requested a partial refund for the absolute unliveable conditions we had to stay in. (A flooded and uncleaned room!!!)
I wouldn’t stay here again.

Overall, I had a lovely time in a lovely resort. No complaints with food, all cooked perfectly and warm. Staff amazing and helpful, with buggy service available on arrival. Shoutout to ‘Alessandro’ who helped me get around the resort when I had a foot injury, he made my stay special. There are many pools, and an 18+ one which is nice for couples holidays. There is another extra restaurant on site which you have to pay extra for, but is definitely worth it. They also provide a free shuttle bus service to the local town, which is great; there is a €200 deposit on arrival which is promptly reimbursed on your date of departure. Would definitely recommend and return.
