We are here now and have 4 nights in total at this hotel. Honestly it’s not as bad as some of the reviews make it out to be, you get what you pay for it’s a cheap getaway. It definitely isn’t a 4 star 3 star at most. Rooms are dated and worn but still very good to stay in. Location is great everything is within walking distance from the hotel. Staff were lovely when checking us in. Would I stay again for another cheap getaway? Yes.

Big, massive hotel, great room size. Good English breakfast and cereal. However, the pictures online are far from reality on the ground.
The room I was in with my partner had a single bed, and we were made to understand that this is how all the rooms are. We requested that the bed arrangement should be changed to a double size.
The TV remote wasn't working, which made it a bit of a challenge to either switch the TV on or off. We could only have it either way when we were in bed.
The room intercom is not working; you have to go to the reception to pass your message.
If you are not careful, if you close the sliding door behind you on the balcony, hotel staff would have to let you back into your room, depending on the time of the lockout.
The outside pool was quiet, probably due to the period we visited, but the indoor pool was busy, as the kids and adults enjoyed the indoor splash.
As hotel guests, it was also a surprise for me to have to pay €8 to use the gym. Aside from that, should there be an emergency in the gym, there are no clear directions to the emergency exit from the gym.
In my opinion, the rating I would give the facility out of 5 is 3.5.

The hotel is dated but you could see that it was once an amazing place! So I respect that it cost a fortune to maintain. My family and I stayed in a 2 bed apartment (teenage children and hubby) 8th floor. The views from the windows were amazing and beautiful. Very spacious and comfortable room but needs refurbishment. We didn't mind better than having a small cramped space.
I didn't like the bed so slept on the sofa bed which I LOVED!
The shower was amazing. Water pressure great.
Tv wasn't great but we came for the outdoors so didn't mind.
Location was perfect. My children felt safe and even went to old town alone (20 mins walk)
Breakfast was great. LOVED the pastries and the orange juice. And the large selection of seeds: Chia, flax, sunflower, pumpkin, raisens, etc.
Dinner was different everyday. Ok but not great except for our last day. It was amazing but because we weren't expecting it to be, we had lunch else so was too full to eat. Fish dishes were nice.
Outdoor Pool area was lovely but too cold to swim so enjoyed the picturesque view.
Indoor pool very old and poor condition but we enjoyed using it. Especially the jacuzzi. Had the area all to ourselves.
Would I book again? Yes definitely for the price its value for money. If i want luxury, I will go somewhere else.

Great hotel, brilliant pool.
Rooms are decent, beds are comfortable. Balcony is big enough, a pool view would have been better. Check in is after 2pm.
Toilet and shower is good.
Overall, it’s a good hotel.
Pool staff are quite strict, you can’t bring your own food or drinks to the pool.

I used to love this hotel when I was younger. The rooms are huge however slightly dated.
I came recently and was so excited to be back in this hotel however I was beyond disappointed. It felt like I was in a crack house. The halls to my room were dark and long with little to no lighting. Some lights were flickering too. There were men stood outside their rooms as if it was some kind of gathering that we weren’t informed on. They were smoking and yelling and watching us and smirking as we walked past. Ive never felt so uncomfortable. One guy had his door wide open while he was half naked on his bed, smoking and blasting the tv. It says family hotel which it was once but now I’m scared to go back. I wouldn’t recommend for any family, especially those with young girls. Honestly felt like I was at risk leaving my room. Not to mention the smell of wet paint intoxicating us during the night. Definitely goes against health And safety. Also there was a guy constantly at our door banging some nights. I was so shocked and genuinely scared for my safety. Clearly the staff do not care about the drug deals and pervs staying on their top floors. When we asked to switch rooms they said no and we then contemplated flying back home because it was that horrendous. Also the bar area for the evenings, you would think it would be for families like it states. However it was just men, lots of men everywhere yelling up until the early hours of the morning. I’ve been to Portugal a lot it’s one of my favourite places, however this hotel has made me never want to come back. I’m traumatised. No customer should be scared to walk to or leave their rooms. No customer should feel unheard by the staff. No customer should feel threatened in the place they’re supposed to feel comfortable.
