I stayed in this hotel because it was assigned on a tournament… but sadly I won’t be returning.
The rooms are in need of renovation, the bathtub was really stained and looked dirty. The game room for kids was smelly and the air conditioner didn’t work properly so it was like being in a sauna. The buffet had no variety and overall food wasn’t great.
Mayority of the staff was nice and attentive. Pools were big and clean.
There’s definitely potential for improvement.

I approached the Occidental Caribe Resort, I had high hopes as I went to an Occidental Resort back in 2024 and had a great time there. We checked in, then later went to our room to settle in. It seemed mediocre at first, but as we looked around the room, we noticed a few things. First we've seen that the bathroom was dirty, and missing towels in the room. We went to the front desk to discuss the issue with the receptionist, she gave my parents and I a nasty look. We received a new key for a new room, when we went to check the room with another hotel staff, we thought it was fine once again. We noticed that the safe was not usable, and the balcony door lock was broken. When we got our third room, it was the best one we have gotten, but... the cord of one of the lamps in the room was taped together, and the closet door doesn't slide smoothly as you would expect it to. Out of three of the rooms that we checked into, the air conditioning unit was not working, which is a problem as it gets really humid in Punta Cana. This is the best room that you would get for a standard room. In terms of service, it wasn't the best. As I previously stated I had an issue regarding my room, they weren't taking this situation greatly, they would often look at you weird, like you are the one doing something wrong, even though it is not. Often at food establishments you would be directed to your seat, they would rudely hand you the menu and you would have to direct yourself to your own table. There are many better options for resorts in the Punta Cana area, don't come here if you expect a great experience.

This one is for travelers that have been to others All Inclusive resorts and have experienced true Costumers service, cleanliness and overall decent communication from staff.. you WILL NOT get that here! Spend your money somewhere else. I have not read the reviews prior to coming to this place, and lesson learned.
The rooms are not clean, run down, they won’t even change the towels.
The staff barely acknowledges you, at best! At least twice a got an eye roll from staff.
The food is at best a 5/10
. The people working can make or break your experience! The staff working should be trained more!
Also, The communication between front desk, costumer service and client is the worst!

I have revised and given it a bump. They offer limited food options. Everyone eats at the buffet because that's all you get most of the time. You can't even get a seat because it's constantly packed unless you are there at the open. The food is fine at the buffet, but poor at the one restaurant available for lunch/snack food. The hotel is old and in dire need of a remodel. The service is terrible and constantly need to call for towels and then they either don't deliver them or takes hours to come. One plus is the beach. It's large and beautiful. The 2 restaurants that I've visited so far have been delicious. The seafood and Japanese have been great experiences. It's a shame they only let you book 3 of the 6 restaurants. That needs to change.

You get what you pay for. We paid for the premium level room. We recieved Superior room with superior amenities. No welcome gifts or extra amenities, could not use premium lounge to check out of room, no one was there for 2 hrs. Two of the activities such as climbing wall were closed for all 4 days of our stay. Not worth the premium at all. The positive note was the staff and gentlemen who welcome you as you arrive at the resort. They were honestly the best. Met an awesome gentlemen who sells cigars by one of the main lobby bars. Besides meeting great people, the resort itself needs an update in every detail.
