What a wonderful find this place was! A last minute deal to escape the weather in what we thought was going to be a basic cheap and cheerful hotel but how wrong we were. We had a spotlessly clean, large apartment with a double balcony and sea views. The staff are absolutely amazing and make you feel like part of the family. The food and drinks are so cheap and the facilities are great. There are 2 pools ( one adult only) with plenty of sunbeds available. It has been one of the best holidays we've had and have met some lovely people, we will be back here again without a doubt! Brilliant team and I cannot fault a single thing about Neptuno.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. The first impression came from the rude staff in the reception. We were immediately asked to pay 100 € extra as a deposit. I don't know if this is common on the island, but I've never heard of it. They then asked me if I would like to have a copy, that states I paid the 100€, to which I luckily said yes. When we left, they didn't mention the deposit and just said bye. I asked if I can have my money back, the guy at the reception looked annoyed and asked if I have the receipt. It looks like they hope people forget about it.
The room was superficially clean, but after closer inspection, I found human hair and some mould. The furniture is old and worn down. There's not even shower gel or dish soap. The second bedroom doesn't have a window.
There's no Air-conditioning and it can be very warm on Tenerife. There's the option to rent a fan for 40€...... also there's a sign on the balcony door, that says we should keep it closed at night for safety....
So no AC and no fresh air at night.....
What kind of hotel closes the pool at 5 in the afternoon??
The hotel is very loud, a lot of drunk tourists come back from partying and shout in the middle of the night. In the valley, where the hotel is located, there's about 1000 rooms.
I would generally suggest staying away from Adeje, if you're looking for some peace on vacation, but that was our fault, for not getting well enough informed. The area really looks like it was created for the people that just want to eat and get drunk with warmer temperatures.

Very affordable accomodation. Parking can be an issue as most cars are parked on the street. Please do not park in the middle of the small roundabout at the end of the street. The hotel does offer dedicated parking, but they charge €8 per day, or €40 per week.
They also need a €60 deposit in CASH. (I assume for the garage keys)
The rooms were mediocre, without air-conditioning and our room didn't even have a window. This can get very bad when it's hot.
We also saw lots of dead cockroaches in the outside area. Luckily none got in our room, but we did hear a lady complaining at the reception about cockroaches.
The hotel does have a swimming pool, pool bar, and serves food.
Recommended if you're on a tight budget.
Otherwise, spend a bit more and get a decent room.

Whatever you do, listen to the bad reviews and go to a BETTER hotel!!! We saw the bad reviews and didn’t think much of it, but it’s all true. When we first came we had to give a €100 deposit which was a bit sus but we knew about it so we had the cash ready, I recommend taking the receipt they offer you when you give them the money!
First thing we noticed as soon as we walked into the room was the smell of chlorine- which would make you think atleast it gets cleaned, right? Nope, it was extremely dirty and the cleaners didn’t even clean whilst we stayed here- all they did was take out the rubbish, rearrange towels in the bathroom, make the bedsheets neater (but never CHANGED the bedsheets) and sometimes I saw a bit of cleaning liquid in the toilet but that was it. In fact they didn’t even do this bare minimum every day! There was quite a few days where they didn’t even clean.
They don’t even give you shower gel or shampoo which is a standard for hotels, all they give you is a cheap bar soap. There isn’t even anything to hold your stuff in the shower so you have to keep it on the dirty floor. Also the shower sucked and hot water would only last like 5 minutes before going cold, and the water is super chlorinated.
The apartment was always super hot and stuffy since there is no AC or fan (you could rent one for €40 which is such a scam) and we stayed in December, so I can’t imagine how unbearable it would be in the summer! Also leaving the balcony door open for an extended period wasn’t really an option since it’s not safe.
The walls are very thin and it’s super easy to hear literally anything around you. You can hear when people are using the toilet, whispering, or opening doors. We were lucky since we didn’t have neighbours most of the time so it wasn’t too noisy for us, however most of the noise was coming from Laguna Park! Can’t fault this hotel for that but Laguna Park has a bunch of loud drunk brits which will keep you up all night, however we could mostly only hear this since we stayed in room 155 (sea view room) which is at the rear of the property. However we specifically asked to be away from the pool since it was always noisy (always playing loud music) and that’s where most people would be, it’s also very accessible to the public literally anyone can walk in so it’s pretty easy to break into the hotel.
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you are elderly, struggle with walking or just unfit- there’s a massive hill that you have to walk down to get to the beach. It’s like a 20 minute walk. It’s fine in the way down, and even though I would consider myself fit, it was always painful walking up especially because of the heat, it’s such a steep hill. You can take a taxi up which is like €5-10 but this hotel isn’t the most accessible anyways since it has sooo many stairs.
The adult heated pool was not heated at all, it was super cold. I also wouldn’t say it’s the most kid friendly since the pool doesn’t allow floaties. Also the free wifi sucked but it was good enough for very basic use.
Now the tiny amount of positives: it’s in a decent location not really a long walk to get to the beach. There’s also multiple supermarkets very close so that’s helpful. Also the view from the sea view apartment was nice so we liked sitting on the balcony. Thankfully no cockroaches (yay?) but maybe you would get some if you stayed in a lower level apartment. There was no theft but we always made sure to hide our stuff well (like in our clothes in our bags), but if you leave cash or passports out who knows it would probably get stolen. And that’s basically the only small positives.
Our trip here was NOT enjoyable- stay away from Neptuno and spend a little more money to not get your holiday ruined.

On arrival good customer service was a no show from the very beginning. The most unwelcoming check in ever experienced! The rooms we basically in the dungeons down 4 flights of stairs no lifts! Dark dingy rooms that didn't smell very pleasant! The shower squirted water every where so the whole room would get soaking wet, there was not enough water for 2 showers so we had to shower really quickly or the next person was getting a cold one. We had an ant infestation, guess this was normally as bug spray under the sink! The room was not cleaned daily, staying there a week we had one set of clean towels and the beds were only made once in 7 days! Don't bother asking for a taxi to go into adeje they never turn up and you end up walking down, that's not so bad but the walk up is a killer in the heat, not for the faint hearted! The hotel manager was very rude and basically told us we didn't book direct with them so we get the rooms no one wants, said if we don't like it don't stay with them. First time to tenerife but this didn't put me off wanting to go again, but will most certainly never stay here again! The hotel across the road was actually more helpful and couldn't do enough to help us out, they even booked out airport transfers as our hotel advised us the one we booked with them might not even turn up!
