This is a fantastic hotel. We had a beach front premium room with all inclusive and it was perfect for me and my two teenage daughters. Well serviced by cleaning staff every day, aircon, fridge, coffee machine, bug nets on the rear terrace doors. It was spacious and better than expected.
Food was wide ranging and well prepared to a high standard. The service was excellent in every location from reception through to to beach bar. Staff had good English and honestly couldn't have done any more to make us feel valued as guests.
The evening entertainment was varied and what you'd expect. From our room terrace we could watch it easily, this meant it was loud until quite late but we didn't mind that. The entertainment team were so high energy and provided us with options for activities throughout the week.
The beach is 100m from the hotel and it's a lovely sandy beach. We always found a pair of sun loungers and there was not the early reserving with towels that you might expect. The sea is beautiful, although there were two days when it was too rough to go in.
Overall I would highly recommend this hotel. It's difficult to find anything negative that's worth mentioning.

We stayed 10 days as a family at Eliros Mare and overall enjoyed our stay. The design and architecture are beautiful. The staff, especially Anastasia at the pool bar and Maria in the main restaurant, were a highlight for us. They made us feel at home, welcomed, and interacted beautifully with our daughter. However, for us, it was not necessarily a 5-star-worthy experience.
First of all, the tiles around the pool are extremely slippery. Every day, someone slipped and fell down, no matter how slowly you walked. Since it is a self-proclaimed kid-friendly hotel, this was a big issue for us and all the families we met and talked to.
There are not enough pool chairs for the pool area. The pool is rather small for the size of the hotel, and the small kid pool next to the Kid's Club seems to be an aftertought. It could have been designed nicer.
Speaking of Kid's Club, the animation for the adults and the evening program are great... for children, not so much! The mini disco at night is boring, to say the least. Every night, the same songs in the same order. It was a bit lackluster.
I would not recommend the hotel for families, but rather for couples.

Our first vacation at a club hotel was at Eliros Mare on Crete, and overall, we were very satisfied. I especially want to highlight the extremely friendly staff, who were always helpful and attentive. The hotel grounds are beautifully designed and have direct access to the sea, which made the stay very pleasant.
The buffet was very extensive with a wide selection of dishes, so there was something for everyone. The food was good, although the themed evenings didn’t appeal to me much. Personally, I prefer the local Cretan cuisine, which, fortunately, was also available.
Another highlight was the animation team’s program. There were many well-organized sports activities, and the team was super motivated and brought a lot of fun. However, the children’s disco only started at 8:45 PM, which was a bit late for smaller children.
A point of criticism is the all-inclusive offer, which didn’t include everything. Some drinks were still charged extra, which I found a bit confusing. It’s strange that a frappe was included, but an espresso freddo cost €4.50.
The hotel also charges an environmental tax of €10 per night. However, Eliros Mare has already taken steps to be more environmentally friendly, such as providing reusable thermos bottles. Despite this, plastic cups and bottles were still being used in some areas, which undermined the eco-concept a bit.
Another issue was the presence of mosquitoes in the room. Fly screens would have been helpful here. Unfortunately, our room was also plagued by drain flies, which affected the comfort.
Despite some minor shortcomings, we can recommend Eliros Mare, especially for its friendly atmosphere, beautiful seaside location, extensive buffet, and the motivated animation team.

We visited in June '24 and were blessed with >40°C temperatures.
The first impression starts with the hotel receptionist to greet you and take your luggage to make sure, you have a good time after the travel. They fill out your forms for you and give you a refreshment beverage while briefly explaining where the restaurants and pool settings are.
We had all inclusive, which I highly recommend, and were able to eat throughout most of the day and drink at all times.
The biggest plus of the whole complex are these points:
* The employees working in the hotel have a great attitude about their guests. (+++)
* There are many employees working in the hotel, which means the service level is top par. (+++)
* There are not too many rooms in the hotel, so that the amount of guests does feel a little more exclusive. (++)
I took the quad-tour for 65€ and the e-bike for 20€ a day several times. Both times I got picked up from the hotel and brought back. "You feel super duper pampered."
The hotel is directly located at a nice, clean beach, so you are not missing anything at this point.
If I had to critizice negativly (and I feel like, I have to force myself to do so), then the only thing I want to say is that the hotel is located at a small village complex, that obviously mostly exists for tourism and the next real town with about 5k citizens is about 6km away. It's close enough for a longer walk, or you take the bike.
Other than that, I haven't even mentioned the greetings sparkling wine in the room, the room service with personal, that was polite, friendly and just kind overall. I didn't mention so far, that the beach and the water was perfect - you just don't need water-shoes.
The food is fine - everything there that you want to eat. It's typically a buffet of about 6 main dished added to a huge variety of extras.
You can surprisingly drink fairly expensive alcohol for free (whole bottles of wine - no problem).
Some rooms - I must assume - are a little further away from the whole pool area, so a 1 Minute walk might occur.
I am not going to say our room number, but there are some specific rooms, that are not even the high class rooms, that have perfect location to bar, pool and inside garden area. We were simply lucky to get one of those.
The last day we had to fly early in the morning so we had to be picked up at 7 o'clock, when the breakfast is at 7:30. So we asked them, if we could have breakfast of some kind, and they just opened the whole breakfast 1 hour earlier for us. That was neat.
Overall, just be kind to them - I feel like - and you get the greek kindness back.
10/10 would recommend.
Edit: I've just read about the rooms near with ocean view and I have to say, that I would recommend to take a room with garden view, because of the animation and entertainment till about 22.00 o'clock. The animations and entertainment is located directly in front of these few rooms (loud!) and that is indeed something, that we noticed, that we were lucky about. That's all for full disclosure.

I recommend this resort in Crete, the structure is new and really well maintained. The architecture is beautiful and blended with the natural colors. Rooms are comfortable and with all the needed accessories. Breakfast and dinner buffet have a lot of choices, quality is high and also vegan can be satisfied.
