Staff were lovely and welcoming, from the reception desk to the pool bar. They were absolutely lovely.
The hotel location is perfect but the quality of the rooms are relatively poor. The first night we arrived, we were put in a room without a balcony, although when booking with Expedia it mentioned all rooms had one. When I called reception, they told me it wouldn't be possible to change rooms as they were fully booked during the duration of my stay. When I asked for the nearest available location for my partner to smoke, the same lady then clicked around and 'magically' found a room that would be ready for the next day but would require extra for an upgrade. There was something VERY weird about that room and we had the WORST night's sleep.
The next day, a different staff member showed me the room and asked if I still wanted to change, they tried to overcharge me and I had to do the maths for them.
Rituals shower gel was fine, but the bed was comfortable but squeaky but comfortable. There was absolutely no storage space nor desk space. The balcony door could not close from the outside so it was hard to keep the smell of smoke outside of the room. Yes, the location was noisy but this did not impact my sleep and I slept much better compared to the room from the first night.
Overall I would have thought this was a 3* hotel.

This hotel is literally on the strip in old town and has the ability to take you away from the noise in your room or bring you straight to it.
The staff are very friendly and hopeful. The rooms were lovely with a nice private balcony as well. The pool and bar area were very modern.
Highly recommend!

If you like sleep do not stay at this hotel music from bar street blasting till 4am every night. Even with ear plugs extreme.
Rooms and hotel really clean and nice inside.
Pool area has music on all day which the music is weird and awful. We love music but this stuff weird. And repetitive.
Location is great

Stayed here for 4 nights when attending a wedding. The rooms are a nice size and the bed is comfortable. Our room was located on the strip which we knew when booking. The hotel provides earbuds which are located in the box with the hairdryer in it. My friend’s room was at the pool and there was music/guitarist from 9.30am definitely not needed. Good location. Never had the breakfast as it was 17€. There’s a nice breakfast place near it called Cafe Mané.

We had a fantastic seven nights here. The staff are really friendly and overall the hotel is excellent. The rooms are well laid out and modern and from top to bottom everywhere is quirky, immaculate and clean.
We didn’t eat there but the white sangria cocktails and frozen daiquiris are worth a go, especially around the pool.
Our only criticism is, you need a science degree to work the air con in the room, the pool is freezing cold, ALWAYS, and the beds are very squeaky to the point we could hear the other couples having a bit of the other 🤷♂️
Hotel Califórnia is worth a stay and we will definitely book there again. 😊
