We went for a day by the pool. Took the buffet breakfast in the morning. Wide selection of items. Really good food and service.
We then headed to the rooftop pool. Unfortunately, not a lot of shaded deckchairs near the pool. The pool itself is not that big but it was very nice, enjoyable and clean.
The bar next to the pool offers a waited service even for deckchairs. The food was really good and the service was good as well.

A pleasant stay in the Palace. Breakfasts were very good - lots of choices to suit all tastes. We only chose B&B.
The only reason I've marked it overall at 4 stars is because:
Dining tables were wobbly, and most chairs were in need of a good, deep clean.
Carpets in corridors are a little 'tired' (2nd floor).
However, in all fairness, the staff are very professional, helpful & very quick to help resolve any issues you may have.
Our particular thanks for the nice bottle of wine in our room, to celebrate our anniversary, as well as the complimentary cocktails for my birthday - very much appreciated.

Checked in at The Palace yesterday, had a bit of issue with the room I was given. Talked to Miss Rana at the reception who has done more than I'd imagined to help me out. Every single staff member I've come across so far has been friendly, attentive and super polite, special shout out to Miss Rana and the house keeping team. I wouldn't say this is the best five star hotel I've stayed at facility wise but the staff here are world class, they are the true assets of this place. I am sure I will be sulking when it's time to go home!

Really nice hotel in the heart of Sliema - Got a fantastic deal for 5 nights so we couldn't say no.
Room was beautiful with a free upgrade included and had everything that was needed.
Staff is what made this place shine to us, service was phenomenal and most are really engaging and would spark conversation. Shout out specifically to the guys in the Talk of the Town Cafe.
Breakfast is varied and tasty but nothing to write home about - Still couldn't fault it.
Temptasian Restaurant was quite good although found service not to be as efficient compared to the rest of the hotel.
Location can be an issue if you want the best of Malta at your door and would probably recommend a stay in Valetta specifically for that. However, in terms of a place to chill out and have some phenomenal restaurants and fantastic views close by - this is the place to be.
Would absolutely come back.

We stayed at AX The Palace Hotel in Malta for four nights and honestly had a great experience. The location is perfect, the restaurant was really good, and the staff were super friendly, polite and always happy to help. Our room was spacious, which was ideal for the three of us — especially with our 17-year-old son. The beds were large, super comfy, and the room was kept spotless thanks to the excellent daily housekeeping.
The rooftop pool was a real highlight — a great spot to relax and enjoy the view.
That said, there were just a couple of things that could definitely be improved. The Wi-Fi was pretty terrible — so bad that we ended up using mobile data most of the time. Also, the pool towels had quite a bad smell, which was a bit disappointing.
Apart from these small issues, everything else was spot on, and we really enjoyed our stay. If they sort out the Wi-Fi and the towels, this hotel would be hard to beat!
