A lovely hotel (clean and tidy) the staff are friendly and helpful ( a few miserable ones)
In the dining hall we had to wait ages for drinks.
The food was nice, sometimes the same each night. A few theme night.
The pool area was always clean. NOT enough sunbeds for the amount of guests, and people saves sunbeds and don't arrive till late in the day.
Entertainment staff seemed nice (didn't really have much to do with them - apart from aqua dance/fit)
Location is brilliant, only a less than 10 minutes walk to the beach.
Local to bus stops for local transport and the ting ting train.

Actually, a very nice hotel! We had a great stay overall. Just a few small points to be aware of — none of these were dealbreakers:
1. The bathroom has semi-transparent glass doors, so privacy is limited.
2. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the beach — manageable unless you expect beachfront access.
3. Elevators can get a bit busy (14 floors), but we never waited more than a couple of minutes.
4. Sunbeds get reserved early with towels — a cultural habit. The hotel allows this only after 8am, which seems like a fair compromise.
5. Hotel parking is limited and often full, but there’s plenty of free public parking just outside — so it was never a real issue.
On the positive side: Half board was excellent, with tasty, varied meals and daily specials. Rooms were spacious and clean, AC worked well, and there are several pools to choose from.
Overall, we had a great time and would definitely recommend it!

We recently have stayed at Tonga Towers, and I can honestly say it was one of the most memorable experiences we’ve ever had — largely thanks to the phenomenal entertainment staff and the amazing kids club team!
From the moment we arrived, the energy and warmth of the entertainment crew was infectious. Every single staff member was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about making every guest’s stay unforgettable. They truly went above and beyond every single day.
But what stood out the most for us was the children’s kids club. They couldn’t wait to go each morning and that says everything! The team created a magical, safe, and fun-filled environment packed with creative activities, games, performances, and even mini disco shows. The staff were not only incredibly talented but also so kind, patient, and engaging with the children. You can tell they love what they do.
The evening entertainment was also great — with something for everyone. Live shows, music, games, and dancing kept the atmosphere lively and enjoyable. The talent among the staff was genuinely impressive, and their passion really shone through every performance.
If you're a family looking for a hotel where your children will be entertained and cared for by outstanding staff while you also enjoy some relaxation, look no further than Tonga Towers. Huge thanks to the entire entertainment and kids club team — you made our holiday so special, and we can’t wait to come back!

To start with the positives. The pool area was very relaxing. The hotel do not allow you to put towels down for before 8am which alleviates the stress of having to find a sun lounger. Having said that, there were lots of beds. The views from the hotel rooms are stunning. The standard of drinks was good.
The downsides were, when we checked in we were given very little information apart from meal times. The reception staff did not seem overly friendly and this was our experience of most of the staff there. There was an additional 33 euros tax to pay which we did not know about. There did not seem to be any information book and the hotel staff were not forthcoming with any information .We booked a double room and the room and bathroom felt very cramped. People staying in the suites said they were quite roomy. There was a safe in the room but we have been given no information about this and it did not appear it was in working order. We booked the holiday through TUI and again there was absolutely no information on the rep desk . It did not seem that TUI had a huge presence in this hotel? We had an issue with the shower tray overflowing and flooding the bathroom floor. The bathroom door did not close properly. We reported these and somebody came but the problems still persisted. Other people said they had the same problems in their rooms! The food started off promising but after a few days it felt very repetitive and the restaurant was noisy and chaotic. It really wasn't a relaxing experience.
There was no coffee or tea making facilities in the bedroom and it seemed that guests were not allowed in the restaurant before breakfast! Apparently you could hire a kettle but we were not given this information by reception and heard it second-hand from another guest. When we have stayed at other hotels we were always greeted by all members of staff but in this hotel it felt as if you were just another number. There seems to be lots of positive reviews for this hotel, we can honestly say this was not our experience of this hotel

Before my trip, I was a bit concerned about staying at this hotel, mainly due to the negative reviews I had read. However, I was pleasantly surprised once I arrived.
The hotel is huge, and at first I was worried that there are only five elevators, but during our stay (early April), this didn’t cause any issues at all.
The rooms were very clean and a good size, and the bathroom was perfectly acceptable. The only downside was the lack of a kettle in the room. Housekeeping was done daily, towels were replaced regularly — no complaints there.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Communication was easiest in Spanish or German, but they managed in English as well. Everyone was cheerful and polite.
The food was tasty, although after 10 days I started to miss a bit more variety and a broader selection of local products.
The pools — both the outdoor ones and the indoor pool with saunas — were excellent. Definitely a strong point of the hotel.
The biggest downside is the lack of parking. There are only 8 spots available, which is not enough for the number of guests. In reality, you have to search for parking around the town.
Overall, I consider my stay a very pleasant experience. I suspect that in high season, my opinion might be slightly different due to significantly higher prices (up to 100% more than in April), but I still think I can recommend this hotel.
