We stayed here for a week and it was absolutely amazing. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly.
The hotel was great, lots of bars and restaurants to choose from and the food was delicious 😋
It was our first time in Malta but it won't be our last.
To top our holiday off, we watched the turtles hatch on the beach....amazing!

Our stay at the Radisson Blu Resort Malta St. Julian's was a mix of good and not-so-good experiences. The hotel offers several amenities that we appreciated, such as an indoor pool with adult-only hours, which stays open until 10 PM, and an outdoor pool that operates from 6 AM to 8 PM. The outdoor pool area is pleasant, and there were usually enough umbrellas available.
Additionally, there is a small supermarket inside the hotel, which is convenient if you want to use the kitchen in your room. The rooms themselves are spacious; we booked two "Superior Room - Country View" rooms, and the hotel accommodated our request to have them close to each other, which was important as we were traveling with children.
Activities (also for small kids) were plenty throughout the day. There's a calendar and perhaps 8-10 different things you can do. Don't forget to make a reservation for some of them, because they can get full quickly.
One thing we really liked about the hotel is its restaurants. Especially the Indian restaurant, due to the quality of service, its location, and its food, as the others are much more modest (not bad, but average). Dining at the hotel can not only be more convenient than going out to a nearby town, but we also have quite a variety to choose from.
However, we encountered several issues during our stay.
The parking situation can be problematic—while parking is free outside the hotel at night, during the day, especially when the beach is busy, finding a spot becomes much more challenging. It's also worth noting that there are no reserved spots for hotel guests.
Internet service which poor at times. We frequently had to rely on mobile data, which can be a concern if you have work meetings or similar commitments.
One significant inconvenience was that one of the two main elevators in our block of 10 floors was out of service for the entire week of our stay in August. This caused regular delays, especially during peak times. There was an "apology" sign in front of the elevator, but it looked like it has been out of service for quite a while.
Additionally, while the hotel has a private beach area, it is small and often overcrowded. The general beach area is packed with tourists, sometimes up to 8 or 10 rows of beachgoers, and the access to the water is over rocky terrain, which can be uncomfortable. However, once in the water, the seabed slopes gently, allowing you to wade out quite far, and the crowd tends to spread out. There is also a diving center, independent of the hotel, where you can rent kayaks, paddle boats, or arrange a diving excursion.
A quick note about the outdoor pool: it was complete conquered by black algae, visible on the sides and in the drains. While it wasn't an issue for us and probably not a health concern, it probably means a lack of proper maintenance.
The breakfast, while offering a variety of items such as fresh fruits, pastries, and hot dishes, became repetitive after a few days, though it was generally good and the staff were attentive.
We also noticed that many staff members were in training, which is not inherently negative and could be a positive in the future. However, during our stay, this meant that several staff members were unsure about basic information, such as pool closing times or check-out procedures, particularly those related to our Premium Membership with Radisson.

Definitely one of the best - if not THE best hotel in Malta in terms of location, away from the somewhat overcrowded area around the capital. The fact that it overlooks one of the island's best beaches is a plus - and the view is beautiful. A fantastic place to relax. Rooms and facilities are great; lots of fine restaurants; a fantastic breakfast buffet and good staff.

We stayed at this wonderful hotel for our first wedding anniversary, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. We knew this hotel because we had our rehearsal dinner here last year, and the service was excellent then, so we thought it would be great to stay here as well.
The check-in was smooth, and the staff welcomed us warmly. Reserving a dinner place was easy, and the restaurant host (Johnny) was very accommodating, even serving us Prosecco to celebrate.
Our room was beautifully prepared with a cake, petal flowers, and swan towels on the bed. Renting a car was hassle-free with ample parking. The location is perfect, with easy access to a private beach and a clean, safe swimming pool. The hotel also has a handy supermarket.
The breakfast selection was amazing, very varied, and delicious, with attentive staff. Overall, the food was top-notch. We definitely plan to come back whenever we visit Malta. Highly recommended!

Just returned from 4-night stay at the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa at Golden Sands and I must say that I enjoyed every moment. All the members of the staff I came across, were so friendly and welcoming and they make sure that all guests are well taken care of.
I have to mention especially Henri, the Guest Experience Manager, who welcomed each guest, each morning at breakfast, with a friendly smile and greeting. Henri is surely an asset to the hotel.
I should also mention the great rooms, pools, facilities and restaurants. My favourite restaurant was Essence of India, with exquisite food and service. Well done to you all!
